1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Dressing your dolls for Holidays!

Dec 24, 2010

    1. Do any of you Dress your dolls/resin roomies/doll kids up for the Holidays? I usually dress my dolls according to the time of the year and this includes the different holidays. So in winter they get coats, scarves and warm hats, and I love to take pics of them celebrating these events.

Do they get a chance to be displayed out for the enjoyment of friends and family? No, my friends and family are not interested in my dolls so I don't get the chance. However it is usual to see me stealing kids gifts (little dolls, cars or figurines) for a while and taking pics of my Yo-SD playing with them like they were her Christmas' gifts.

Do they get to wear holiday themed outfits? Not all, I like to dress the little one on Halloween and I got her a pumpkin bucket for her candies so she can go trick-or-treat.

    2. I was not able to do Halloween costumes for them this year, because I've been very ill and had no energy, but I already know what I want them to be for next Halloween.
When I used to collect Barbie, I would make elaborate displays for each holiday using dolls. I had en entire Barbie graveyard filled with dolls dressed in spooky costumes. I even made the grave stones and dead trees, etc. It was a lot of fun.
I set up a mini Christmas tree every year with tiny ornaments I've collected. I'm thinking of making my dolls new winter outfits this year.

    3. A lot of my dolls have winter holiday (Christmas) outfits and I do dress them up for the holidays. I dress them seasonally as well, with spring/summer clothes or fall/winter clothes. They don't really get Halloween costumes or any other holiday/special event outfits. My dolls are out on display most of the time, and yes they do feature in my winter holiday decorating.

    4. I have a Christmas outfit for Selene specifically, and both she and Niles have winter outfits! Actually, her Christmas dress is just a wine bottle cover I bought at Daiso ^^; But it fits her to a T. I don't really use them for holiday decorating, per se, but they are always on display next to my bed, so I enjoy looking at them before I fall asleep. Helps put me in a seasonal mood, since I dress them for the weather. :)
