1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Ebay seller, Releaserain

Jan 6, 2007

    1. Just adding to the positive feedback; I've ordered twice from releaserain over the course of a year and a half, and had absolutely no trouble. In fact, shipping surprised me with its speed. I'm used to Hong Kong sellers sending out my order "sometime" unspecified and it showing up anywhere from 4-6 weeks later.

In both cases, my order arrived at my door in just under 2 weeks, for a remarkably reasonable shipping price.

I agree in that there was no fraud involved here; nor was there a problem transaction, as all transactions reported here were satisfactory. If anything, the issue was a copyright one for IMAGES and has been resolved. Nothing sketchy going on here!

    2. Exactly. Thank your kcurry9 for further clarifying the point of questioning the ethics of continuing this misleading thread. Especially since it is so long now, most people won't read the entire thread- as we are seeing.

    3. Okay, just keep in mind that I first posted this thread a year ago. This was before the forums were revamped with all the different sections, so when I posted it, it was probably in a perfectly fine place.

Obviously, in the past year releaserain has changed his/her/their practices so obviously, the thread is no longer accurate. If people have a problem with it now, stop whining about it and just request the thread to be removed or deleted. That's all anyone needs to do. Harping on the inaccuracy is not going to magically make this thread disappear. Sheesh.

    4. Ummm.... Excuse me but I don't whine. And I have suggested that the thread's title be changed twice now. I assume mods read this thread from time to time,or would that be presumptious of me as well?

There is really no need to get defensive about it. I'm sure you meant well at the time you posted your question a year ago. Like you said, things have changed and some of us were just making observations about the changes
and making the suggestions that you called "whining".

    5. Oh, man, I practically swear by Releaserain! They're one of my favorite sellers (along with Mimiwoo X3), and I've never, ever had a problem. My stuff always arrives in about a week after it's been shipped, and the prices are actually pretty reasonable, too. I'm pretty sure they do custom clothes orders, too, as long as you provide them with decent references; I'm not sure if they're able to work off of drawings, though, but I hope they are - I have a lot of costumes and clothes I'd love to see made! ;) In fact, I just bought a couple things from Releaserain for Antonio the other day.

    6. Kcurry9, there's no need to be offensive. That kind of behavior just gets threads locked. But considering that's just what you want, you'll likely keep on doing it.
I happen to consider copywright infringement a very troublesome thing. Especially the fact that they used another company's pictures. They may have stopped doing it now, but that is the kind of behavior that may give some people second thoughts.
And yes, I have read the entire thread.

    7. I meant no offense to you, nor did I attack you personally.

I am merely concerned that a good honest seller's reputation is being smeared when people make assumptions based only on the fact that this thread is listed under Problem Transactions. I am glad that you read the entire thread, but I am afraid that many others won't.

It appears that clothing, apparently including doll clothing, is not copyrightable. Therefore, there is no copyright, and there can be no copyright infringement. So there is no illegality in making closely similar doll clothes. It does, however, appear to be an ethical "gray area" that each of us will have to decide for ourselves.

There was also the use of "hijacked" photos, which Releaserain stopped doing as soon as the problem was brought to their attention.

I agree that there are issues here that needed to be aired, and that each member needs to decide for themselves whether they wish to do business with this seller.

I am only questioning that the thread is listed under Problem Transactions, not that it exists at all.

And I feel that I need to say something when anyone posts remarks that make me think that they might be making some erroneous, and unfair, assumptions about problem transactions that don't exist.

    8. I ordered a pair of tennis from her and they arrived safely in two weeks as promised. She even answer all my questions and always bring new stuff in fair prices. She even told me that they were going to release tennis for 70cm because people were asking for them. I'm glad that they take in consideration the clients needs. I can't wait to see the new tennis. I want a few of them for my male dollmore models :)

    9. As a member who is, herself, listed under "Problem Transactions" I wish that all "resolved" issues could be removed from this particular forum. In my case, the issue was actually already resolved when my "friend" made his complaint post. And our transactions had nothing to do with DoA AND involved a "banned" product, but the Mods decided that the thread deserved to remain, though they locked it when they realized that everybody had been refunded their money.
I think Releaserain HAS cleaned up their act, and deserve do have their good name restored IN THIS FORUM. As long as this thread exists, it won't happen. I ran across it and had to read it just because I HAVE had excellent dealings with them in the past (not dealing with counterfeit items) and was surprised to see them in the list.

    10. I also feel this thread doesn't belong under problem transactions anymore.
I was almost put off ordering from this seller because of it.

In the end, I placed two orders with them as they sold some tights and underwear that I couldn't find anywhere else and I was very happy with the service and the quality.

    11. I've ordered fro them three times, I love their products.

    12. Ordered from them over Christmas, fast shipping and great quality on their products. 8D

      The SD-13 van's.... <3

    13. I see that the thread has, in fact, been moved over here to Company Feedback. And I'm *delighted* to read through it and see all the positive strokes.

I'm an example of someone who has been about to do eBay transactions with this company but didn't simply because of this thread. And no, I hadn't read it all up to this point. It was its move to the simple "feedback" area that prompted me to read all of it.

Woohoo! Shoes, here we come. ;)

    14. I highly recommend this seller also! the products are lovely and shipping is fast. Plus the wigs and shoes I've purchased from them are fantastic quality for a decent price.^^

    15. I just received two pairs of shoes and three pairs of stockings from Releaserain.

The items are all in good condition and as advertised except maybe the the girl boots I got are so huge they'd probably fit my boy. They shipped super quick too.

There's a problem though. All my items smell really bad, kinda like they've been through a fire except that can't be it since they're not damaged or discoloured at all. Has anyone else encountered this?

I'm letting them air out and I can still smell them all the way across the room, Ick! :ablah:

    16. No bad smelling items here, but one recently received discoloured item. (Hopeful happy ending, though - skip to end of post for the positive bit!).

I purchased a pink/white stripe halterneck top from Releaserain, plus a few other items. The stockings etc. were all in fine condition - fast shipping too. (Although the lack of an invoice or any initial communication prompted me to add an enquiring post to this thread a little while back).

Unfortunately, the pink top has very visible dark vertical marks running across both the front and the back :o I e-mailed Releaserain with some photos of the garment and a polite e-mail drawing attention to the marks. *Positively*, two days later, she replied with an apology and said that a replacement top would be mailed out free of charge - which was decent of her. I received a generic 'your parcel has been despatched' e-mail today, so we'll see how it goes....

Hope your items air out soon, BTW!

    17. To conclude the saga from my earlier posts; the replacement SD halterneck top arrived from Releaserain today. The item was in minty-mint condition, and was (once again) received super-quickly. It's been a mixed experience, but my final verdict = :thumbup

    18. I bought 2 pairs of shoes from Releaserain a while back. Shipping was pretty quick for airmail. Smelled like rubber(They were sneakers), no bad or icky smells.
mumu-hime- Yuck. Air them out, then try Fabreeze. Or, if it's the inside of the shoes...try putting some baking soda in the shoes for a day or two. Might help.

    19. I have brought heaps of items from them and have had no problems at all so far.

    20. Oh no, I'm so confused! D: I bought two pairs of MSD shoes off releaserain, and she accidentally posted me one wrong pair so she sent the correct pair and let me keep the extra pair, free of charge. ^^ She PMed to let me know of shipping and of the mistake and was lovely to deal with. I'd heard a few people say they liked the seller also, and I was very pleased with the price and the quality of the shoes, and was ready to buy from them again.

It's sad to find that stuff mentioned in this thread used to happen, but I would say forgive and forget. :$ Simply because my experience with her has been so nice and she seems to have cleaned up her act.
