Eldoll Rainy Soah or Sooah who's your favourite?

I'm hoping to get both in the future to house two of my characters who are mother and daughter. Personally I think I prefer Sooah from an aesthetic point of view (though I dislike the bright red lips she seems to come with as a standard faceup from Elfdoll - do they do custom faceups on request, does anyone know?) But at the same time I'm always struck by Soah's sweetness and innocent look. It's pretty difficult to choose between them - which is why I don't intend to!

 

I don't think they do custom faceups. I'm not completely sure, but I remember someone saying that they had asked for custom face-up, but it wasn't possible.

Your plan of mother and daughter sounds interesting. Hope you will get them in future.

 

i love Sooah. to me she is very exotic looking with her large lips. but like most everyone else i like Soah too. i guess overall it just depends what character type you're going for.

 

Unmodded, I prefer Soah. I don't like the mouth on Sooah and would prefer that her mouth and face shape be more like Wu. If I should ever get a Sooah, I would mod it by shaving the face and puttying the mouth to bring this about. That cupids-bow mouth she's got just looks utterly too "Barbie" for me to enjoy.

 

I bought Soah recently, and she's everything I hoped for.

This is a great question! Soah came out first. I thought she had the most beautiful, realistic Asian face and I had to have her - no question. I really did not like Sooah for the longest time, but then I realized that she looks a lot like the Aussie model Gemma Ward. I finally caved and she is now on layaway and I can hardly wait to get her so I can change eyes and wigs. I tend to keep Soah very Asian with darkest brown eyes and dark brown and black wigs. I love the Elfdolls!

Letizia: Ah, I asked in the Q&A once about custom face-ups and got the same reply too so I think you're right! ^^ My Ryung has the default face-up too, but I'm very satisfied with how she looks--they put such beautiful detail into the lower eyelashes and lips.

Wai, I'm interested in seeing this addition to Xi-feng's crew too!

Soah impresses me very much because I've seen many different user-pics of her in the galleries & ryung-soah groups and she's able to convincingly pull off so many different personalities. *o* ...it's a hard tie, but as of now, I'll probably say that I like Sooah a bit more (and Ryung the most!) xD *meep*

Soah was the one I fell in love with as soon as I saw her ages ago now. Sooah is very striking though and she grabs the attention.

I have been lusting over Soah since she was released and finally broke down and bought one. She will be here this week sometime. I tried really, really hard to resist her for the last year, but she finally won in the end. I think it's the lips that got me.

 

Soah is one of my all-time favorite BJD sculpts!

Sooah and Ryung have too much of that Hapsburg jaw thing going on for me! XD

I am sooooo up on the fence about Sooah. If Elfdoll sold the heads separate from the bodies I would not hesitate to buy one. I just cannot afford the whole package. Sure you can sell the body, but you still have to come up with the money to buy it all ((((sigh)))). No matte what, Elfdolls are my favorite,
