I am a very bad person. I ordered Hana Devil yesterday from DenverDoll. I am going to put myself into the poor house. As they have angel bodies, my devil will be a girl. In fact, me as a child. I was quite the brat with dark hair and freckles. The only thing missing is the buck teeth. I plan on her wearing Riley clothes. I have a book with Riley patterns in it and will attempt to sew for her.

Marti, what fun you will have sewing for her. I think Devil has a girlie face, but what a sweetie she is even when naughty. If she's like you, then you were a cutie, too.

 

Oh Man the excitement is SO contageous!! Last night I Stayed up very late (as usual) and ordered Hana Angel from the Elfdoll site.
She might be a birthday gift for me, Aug. 31st, or for DD, Sept. 23, or maybe even graduation gift for DD's oldest friend; practically a member of the family. (She told us that if she had had a doll like the BJD's, she would have played with dolls instead of horses and Beanies.) Oooh this is hard - will I be generous or grabby?? Maybe I need 3 of them .... *runs from the room - NOOOoooooo.....*
I hope she really can wear the Riley clothes. I found that the Bitty Bethany work quite well on Yo-Sds.They are really nicely put together.

So you think each faceplate has its own eyes? That means if I want to try glass ones I'll need LOTS of them. My Serendipity Cumi came with acrylic eyes (kinda milky) and I found some tiny glass ones that are so much clearer. The eyes in the pictures look beautiful though.

Do you think the faceups we get will match the photos very closely? They are so detailed!!So much emotion in those faces.

You guys are so lucky! I wanted one for a b-day present too, but I just got my email from Volks telling me once again I won the lottery! So it's a tiny for me, but no devil or angel yet.

 

Ah, I was looking on the lati site, and yellow lati's have 2.2.cm feet too, so logically they could share shoes, no? Lets hope so! x3 That makes finding shoes easier for me at least.

I'm scraping my funds together for a hana angel too, so I'm excited for her coming too! Not sure what my devil boy will wear yet xD but I at least know what my angel girl will wear!

I think everyone who has a devil girl will surely make very cute outfits for her x3 But I love grumpy bratty boys! xD

And Valli, I think Veruka will be such a sweet name for her! x3

Hn, someone on the Q&A board at Elfdoll asked the same question I did ("Is this doll limited?") and Elfdoll gave them a simmilar answer, rephrased to make me blink:

This sounds like Hana will not be reissued after 6months, doesn't it?

 

That's what it sounds like to me too... Like they mean to say that the quantity produced within those 6 months will be as many as people place orders for, then they'll be done with after that and never again be for sale.

That would be very sad; both are so cute!

Yes, they do. It was answered on their site. So you will need lots of gorgeous eyes if you want to change them.

I agree, that would be really sad. Why work for over a year and then stop making them, unless they are going to issue a different 8"?

Well, if this is simply Elfdoll's first 8" doll, that's a good thing, isn't it? I wouldn't be surprised if the 5" dolls didn't allow him room for detail....the 14cm tinies are... you know...tiny. *laugh* Detail is hard to accomplish on those tinies.

I'd be worried about the 14cm Elfdoll future at this point, though...

 

Hmm, too true there. I they don't stop making their really tiny ones. I enjoy seeing photos of them and I rather like their little bodies. Very hourglass shaped! ^__^

And this is my first ever pre-ordered doll! So it's a strange exciting anxious time! xD But I promised my mum I'd never get impulsive and buy dollfies on a whim again(but I just couldn't resist these, and although they are infact the price of a saint xD I knew if I got a saint I'd never get these guys x3 so, I'm happy about my decision!)

 

Not my first time. ^_^;;; I ordered a DoT Camine when they first came out, within minutes of when they first went on sale, and it took almost 3 months for me to get him!

I somehow don't think that this will be the case as all with Elfdoll. They seem to have much more staff that DoD did at the time. ^__^

 

Grynne, it certainly seems that Elfdoll are geared up for this launch. We won't have too long to wait now - 20 days + shipping time and counting...

There are a couple of sites in the US that are carrying them. (bangs head against desk) Great. Another doll I simply have to buy. Grrrrrr, now I have to decide eventually between Devil and Angel, and pay for the other two I just bought (tinies btw)

 

Oh dear! Maybe you can flip a coin? x3 Gosh Tinies are SO addictive.
Ahaha, my philosophy is, spending money on tinies doesn't count becuase they're so small x3 my mother doesn't agree xD
