@Cattwo , I need to get more use out of that gown. I did discover that the gold boots that came with the male half of the set also fit my egg doll, that's a plus!
Hi Catsy lovers . I had posted in the Introduction thread (& Baha thread) about my coming back to the hobby after having to let my beloved BJD's go due to financial difficulties, but things are better now & I am rebuilding with a few of my very favorite BJD's only this time. So much has happened with Catsy since I had to leave in 2012. Cattwo, that photo of your 3 Catsy's is amazing, I never knew anything past Catsy #1, (which I am hoping so hard to find one again-I even have a special cat chair ready & waiting should I get so lucky). I loved seeing everyone's photo's
Welcome back to the hobby, @Noirdoll! Yes, a lot has happened since Catsy was first introduced. Elfdoll re-designed the bodies to have magnetic feet and paws. They also introduced both Siamese and orange tabby sculpts. In addition to that, they also created a "male" body - a flat chested version of the regular Catsy's female body. The facial painting differed slightly on the sexes, too. I wish that Elfdoll had left up the info on all of them, but when they closed shop a few years ago, the info went with them. Rainman is making dolls again and he's been asked about the possibility of bringing Catsy back. He did say he would consider it, but I don't believe he's done so yet. I noticed your posts over on Antro Addicts - it's unfortunate that that forum has been forgotten over the last few years, too. But as I said on there, Catsy does come up for sale from time to time, so I'm hoping one does so for you, too! Good luck with your search! Here's a photo showing 3 of the last versions - a white male, orange female and Siamese gray female. Elfdoll also offered seated cat head stands to hold their sleeping heads, while not in use:
@Cattwo I am just in awe of your beauties, my dream collection they are all beautiful! I would love just a regular Catsy, but to have those 3, I think I would fall over! Thank you so much for all your helpful info, too, I really appreciate it so much.
You're very welcome, @Noirdoll! And I truly hope you find a Catsy, too - or 3! While I do hope Rainman will consider making them available again and that would be the easiest way to get one, I also know people did buy quite of few of these from Elfdoll, back when they were available. You know collectors - they will often sell dolls they're no longer into, so definitely keep your eyes open for them. Hope one (or more!) finds it way to your door soon!
Thank you, @Cattwo, I did buy one from Rainman many years back-it would be so awesome if he would consider making them all again!
There's a Ball-jointed Dolly Parton Challenge on BJD Addicts on Facebook where you can choose doll photos you've already taken and apply them to different social media. The Catsys were the first that came to my mind. Ball-jointed Dolly Parton Challenge by Nadine, on Flickr
I love seeing Catsy and all the wonderful props and clothes you have for her, @phanuel. Thanks for sharing.
@Cattwo , this challenge gave me a reason to look through all my photos again! @Noirdoll , thanks, there are some old pics in there. @City Kitty , I've had my Catsys for quite awhile now, along with other tiny anthros, so those accessories have had time to accumulate!
@Noirdoll, I can't remember which photos I've already posted, but this is an old one, Medea makin' coffee. Makin' Coffee by Nadine, on Flickr
@phanuel !!! It must have been your BJD Egg I saw when I fell in love with them, too, I never thought I could love a ball jointed egg-but I do! Not quite as much as your Catsy's - what a great caption for a beautiful photo!
@phanuel I love it, I don't care how old or how many times you have posted pic's, you can always post them for me they're purrfect together. Happy Valentine's Day
