I want a Catsy. That is all. Okay... to add substance to my post so it's not just a lament... When was the last time Catsy was available to order? Might she be released again? She's the most adorable little cat lady.
@aihre , the chances of Catsy being released again are slim to none, I'm afraid. When I got my first one in 2009 Elfdoll had already stopped selling her but I found a black one in stock at Junky Spot. I really wanted a white one and one popped up on the second-hand market. The next year Elfdoll re-released her along with a boy version and sleeping heads, interchangeable magnetic feet and hands/paws, and eventually new sculpts in different colors. But that was their last hurrah. Elfdoll is gone now and the artist, Rainman, is into very different things. Your best bet is to check the market, eBay, etc. I don't think Catsy was ever recast so I wouldn't worry too much about that.
Thanks @phanuel , from reading other threads I had a feeling that Rainman has moved onto other projects. Just my luck that I was getting into BJDs right when Catsy was released, but I was more interested in other dolls back then. I'll look on the secondhand market... or just enjoy her through all these delightful owner photos.
They occasionally pop up on the doa marketplace. I JUST missed one about a month ago. I love the Elfdoll tinies, I wish I still had mine!
@spacemachine , I have one black Catsy and three white ones. The white ones are all different, though. One is the original girl with boot legs, one is the newer girl with magnetic feet, and one is the boy.
@Cattwo , I saw the poster in the background of a movie scene and had to look it up. Thought it would make perfect wall art for black Catsy.
@City Kitty , they pop up in the Marketplace occasionally. You might even post a "wanted to buy"! Since she was released twice, there might be more of them out there than there are of very limited-release dolls.
I’ll I will have to check that out. I do have an orange girl one and my sister has an orange boy but, just like real cats, you can never have too many!
