1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Elfdoll Catsy

Sep 9, 2005

    1. I got my Catsy back! She looks so much better. Ner nose is now all repaired. I am soo happy!

    2. That's great news, Cathy! Very happy for you! Have you picked out a name for her yet? I hope you have a lot of fun with her! :)

    3. I'm really starting to crave one of these dolls: den of Temptations is right! XD I'm thinking of purchasing her from Junky Spot after my next girl arrives home. I have the moeny, but I need to save for My trip to japan next year...adn Anime cons...adn the Ren. faire...ACK!!

I'm planning on switching her eyes out to be orange, but I wonder about her optional parts: I've never restrung a BJD before, but I imagine it's even more difficult with tiny dolls. Has anyone put the flat feet on their Catsy?

    4. I've not switched her feet, but I have changed her hands and had to replace an arm piece on my regular Catsy.

The best way I've found is to pull out the part, use a toothpick to hold the elastic in place and then cut off line of the part you are taking off and tie the new one on.

Its a little intimidating at first, but as most things dollish, not so bad once you have done it once. :)

    5. ...sounds scary. But oh well, I must have this little kitty anyways! :P

    6. It's nice to see new posts to this thread! I hope you're able to get yourself a Catsy, sephora-chan! Even though they're small, they're a lot of fun! :)

I haven't changed the feet on my Catsy dolls, but I do recall someone mentioning it was much like changing the hands, so I would go by how Tonboko described it.

Is anyone else out there getting that cute Egyptian outfit for their Black Catsy? I remember many of you named your cats Egyptian names, so I think this will be a great outfit for them. I'm also getting a Wonder Woman one for my white Catsy, so she doesn't feel left out. :)

    7. what outfit is this? i havent seen it yet?

    8. Here's a link to the outfits on the Elfdoll site for you, kathrynmary:

      http://www.elfdollshop.com/shop/step_submain.php?b_code=B20090702041259

You can also purchase these outfits through a number of US shops that carry Elfdoll products. I don't believe they ever posted about these under the News section but they did hint at them earlier this year, when they released a number of new tiny dolls. :)

    9. I ordered my Catsy yesterday through Junky Spot and I'm uber excited! She's going to make a great addition to my resin family and I'm sure she'll be loads of fun. :D I'm going to get her some bratz kidz clothes from Target tomorrow.

I didn't really want to name her something Egyptian, but Ankh ("Mirror", "Image, "Life"-classic symbol) just fit, so my girl's going to be Egyptian, too. And that little Cleo outfit is perfect and adorable, but I feel like I could make it myself and it'd be cheaper.

    10. Congratulations, sephora-chan!! I agree that your new Catsy will be a great addition to your collection! She's so much fun! Love the name you picked out for her, too! I named mine Josie, short for Josephine Baker. :)

Good luck with your Bratz Kidz hunt, too! It is getting hard to find the ones that wear regular clothes these days - so many of them have the snap-on kind. I found a bunch of them on sale on-line last year, so my Catsy dolls have more clothes than I do!

I think it is terrific that you can sew for your dolls, too! I wish I wasn't all tumbs in that regard. Can't wait to see your new Catsy and the clothes you make for her! :)

    11. oh thanks! i think i must have the wonder women outfit for catsy. too cute!

    12. yeah, kathrynmary, that outfit is really cute! :)

Thanks so much Tonboko, I've seen the pictures of your Catsy girls and they're both beautiful! No luck with Bratz kidz clothes at target today, all snap-on like you said. :( Anyone have somewhere else to recommend? My girl shipped today and I really want her to have clothes for when she gets here!

And I can't so all that well, just little messy projects by hand.

    13. You can always try eBay and Amazon for the older Bratz Kidz with the regular clothes. Sometimes you can get lucky and get some good prices on them. Some outfits sold separately, too. The only current Kidz I've seen, still wearing the regular clothes, are in the sister sets - that's where you get a taller, older sister Bratz along with the kidz. Good luck with your search, sephora-chan! :)

    14. You're welcome, kathrynmary! And I agree - that wonder woman outfit is just too cute to pass up! :)

    15. Yeah, cattwo, I tried Ebay but they seem to be running short on clothes that would suit my girl: I'll keep trying though. :)

Does anyone know the bust and waist measurements for Black Catsy? I can't find them anywhere....

    16. Catsy has the same type body as the fairies and if you check Elfdoll's website and click on one of those dolls, at the end there is a picture of the body that includes the measurements. The bust is 5.6 cm, the waist is 3.7 cm. They also include shoulder width and height to waist - those may also be useful to you in making her some clothes. Here's a link so you can check out all those measurements: http://elfdollshop.com/shop/step1.php?number=877

Definitely keep your eye on eBay for Bratz Kidz, since new stuff gets listed all the time. Also check out Amazon.com - especially the other sellers. Look under the other used/new available. Most are shops listing old stock there. While some ask the moon and sun for a certain doll, occasionally there are shops getting rid of them for low prices. I spotted a Yasmin for $3.99 and a Cloe for $4.98. etc. The nice thing about them is that you are usually getting a couple of outfits with each doll. Everything fits pretty well, too, except for the long pants (which you may be able to adjust to fit). If you check on the tiny doll thread, under Elfdoll 14cm tinies, you'll see a bunch of pics of the dolls wearing Bratz Kidz clothes there. Good luck with your search and sewing! You're going to have one very lucky Black Catsy! :)

PS - Here's a useful site if you want to see what certain Bratz Kidz come with: http://www.bratzheaven.com/bratzheaven/collections/collections-robyn.html

    17. Wow, thanks cattwo! That's such a great help! (I don't know what was going through my head when I didn't check the other Elfdoll tinies measurements). I've been sewing like mad because I have a doll whose measurements and height are generally the same as a Catsy: if they don't fit perfectly, I'll just do a little tweaking when she gets here :)

And I need to go buy things from Amazon anyway so I'll definitely look at what they have to offer. You're links are so helpful! And, well, thanks I hope she'll feel lucky, too, but maybe not since I'm not the greatest seamstress. XD She's on her way as of yesterday, I'm so happy!

    18. SHE'S HERE! she arrived a few hours ago and I haven't been able to put her down since! She's gorgeous, ten time better than in the pictures, and is so unbelievably poseable! I luff her. Box opening pic spam (taken with my malfunctioning camera):

I'll open up a thread for box opening pics later. Hope you enjoyed her, I adore her! :)

    19. Congratulations, sephora-chan! I know how much I love my Catsy dolls, so it makes me very happy to see others who love her just as much! :D

Thanks for sharing your good news and those fun pics of her box opening here! I really like that last pic of her with Eitka - always cute to see dolls interacting like that! :)

    20. Thanks, Cattwo! I simply adore her, but I have a question to ask: anyone's Catsy's shoes start to rub off? The silver is coming off of them really easily after just one day. :(
