1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Elfdoll Rainy (Large) Discussion Part 4

Mar 26, 2019

    1. @WinterSong I'm sorry your Lydia arrived in bad condition. To remove the odor, I recommend cold water and leaving the doll in a clean refrigerator for a few days. (It's brutal, I know.)
It may not help completely, but it should reduce the smell a little...

    2. Hello all, I am returning to say hi and hope everyone is well and enjoying their Elfdolls. They're not the best quality but here's a couple of pics of my Elfdoll Hazy hybrid boy in his final finished form. I love him so much!

    4. Hazy has a great sculpt! Thanks for posting him.

I have just revisited the thread and discovered lovely pics that I hadn't seen so must have been missing notifications for Elfdoll posts.

It makes me want to take new photos and find body matches for my Rainy heads :)

    5. Awww thanks all! <3 I am so so happy to finally have him looking how I always imagined him when I first made up his character so many years before I even knew these dolls existed.

His old shell was the doll I loved to photograph the most, and looking at him finally finished, I think this version is gonna end up that way too.

Hazy is such a gorgeous sculpt and it lends itself so well to strong faced girls or slightly softer faced boys. Such a great sculpt. I need to get my Vivien a body and a faceup asap, so I can show off all four of my Elfdoll babes. It's lovely to come back and see these beautiful dolls that I've missed while I vanished.

    6. Your Hazy looks awesome!! I'm really growing to appreciate Elfdoll sculpts more, initially I was only interested in a specific K with a specific faceup (because of how it would work well as a mini-me- literally has my face structure, and the expression one of my sonas usually has, lucky find!!) but after looking for other pictures of the sculpt and other Elfdolls in general, I have to say that I really like their style in general, it's a shame they aren't made anymore.

My K (I just paid off the layaway yesterday, woohoo!) will have her body modded from the original "boy" body to a more afab look, I'm looking forward to the project knowing that it may not come out perfect but will be a good learning experience if nothing else. I want to learn to do more adventurous customizations for my dolls, and I figured since hybrids for this resin can be... difficult, I might as well see what I can do with the body she comes with. Don't worry, the K headsculpt will remain as is! It's interesting how a sculpt I've seen described as very masculine in other threads about it (found a bunch of ancient history looking for hybrid tips!!) ends up being the perfect look for me.

    7. My Elfdoll K arrived this morning and I am very happy with her, unfortunately the body proportions themselves are more obviously masculine than I'd expected and will take a LOT of work to make into my vision... and the body despite being single jointed is VERY sturdy and stable as a poser, I'm almost reluctant to modify it just because of that. For an older doll it feels very high quality. For now I'll focus on getting a proper wig and eyes for the character, as well as magnets for the headcap as the seller forgot to tell me they were missing (no hard feelings, though, I'm still happy with the doll) .
