Elfdoll Tinies Doona Discussion

I got another OHC outfit.........meh. I DO have a source for PANTS.......our very own MARSH! Pics as soon as slacker me takes them.....I am horrible about photographing my dolls.

I want more mature, dressy type clothes for my girl, not frills or tomboy stuff. And wigs---I have several microbraided ones from Poshdolls that are great, but is there anything out there besides the new Monique fiber (which I HATE, everyone else loves)? I am going to get the braided bun from BJDollarama because it makes me laugh.

 

Yes, please post pics of some decent fitting pants for our 20cm tinies!!
What OHC outfit did you get? I think the skirts and tops are ok for the Hana bodies. Wish the hats fit though. As for wigs, I prefer the lightweight, synthetic mohair fiber for all of my doll wigs. I hate the heaviness of the modacrylic wigs.

I've been trying different types of doll clothes on Tiny Soah and think that Tiny Betsy's fit the best so far. Tiny Betsy's arms are shorter that Soah's so long sleeves won't fit but the short sleeve blouses are fine. The bodice fits correctly too. The skirts I have are above the knees on both dolls. Betsy's shoes fit very well. Tiny Ann Estell"s seem to be a little wide for some unknow reason (because the Tonner body is the same for both dolls). Only Hearts Club shoes are longer that Soah's feet. I only have the high top sneakers, so they look OK even though they are too long. If I find out anything else, I'll post it!

I have a tiny Deep Blue Sea that I got from a pal that will NOTTT fit on the Doona head for love or money, dagnabbit! I am going to snipsnip very judiciously........ because I have to decide what the OTHER girls want before I can order!

 

Since I am new to the world of BJD... I don't know what outfit you are referring to, but did you try to put it on without the faceplate in place???

Well... I thought it was an outfit that went over the doll's head (not on top!) LOL! Thanks for the correction. Told ya I'm totally NEW to BJDs...

 

E'd ya! And of course you must have Soah! I sold my other Ryung faceplates in a FLASH, but I am in lovelovelove with my little Ryung.

Ooh ooh ooh, I just found some adorable clothes that fit Tiny Betsy. Unfortunately you have to buy the dolls, too! They are new Robert Tonner Kickits dolls, but the outfits are wonderful. They are very much the sort of thing BJDs wear - Little Soah and Ryung would love them. You can see them at http://www.tonnerdoll.com/kickits.htm

They have names like "Hunting Rabbit" - a white pinafore layered over a tiny blue on white print Alice dress which includes bunny, striped socks, shoes & hair ribbon.

"Little Mischievy" has a white sailor dress trimmed in black with shiny black platform boots.

"Up to Something" has a black Lolita style taffeta dress, black/white striped tights, and black boots.

Prices for the dressed doll are about $75 retail and $60 for preorders. I sure hope Tonner will start making the clothes to sell separately. The dolls are advertised as able to share clothes with Tiny Betsy, Santa's Elves, and Luna's Little Martians (all Tonner dolls).

 

Forgot to say - there are eight different outfits/dolls so far.

The picture is great! How did you get the wig to stay put? It doesn't seem to fit asnd rises up and falls off. Then I put a laytex wig cap on Soah and the wig still doesn't sit on her head right! This is really annoying and ruins the look.

 

Hi, I have nothing on her head, but the wig.

First, with my right hand, I put my thumb under her chin.
Then I take my right hand index finger and hold the wig in place at the crown, with the bangs in position where they should be.
At this point, the back of the wig is probably riding up on her head.
That's ok for now...
Keeping that "pinch" with my right hand, then I take my left hand and go up under the back of her wig and pull the edges of the elastic down around her ears and nape of the neck.

It does fit on her head securely.

Try it, let me know.

You must have magic hands or a bigger wig than I do because it will not stay put. I did as you directed and if it is pulled down on one side it pops up on the other. Then the whole thing slides off. I tried the wig cap but it's not much help in this cae either. I'm going to look around for another wig. Pity!
