ah there we go, i think i have fallen in love with MinDelRe and Lyn so is it true that at some point rainman/elfdoll might re-release some of them? (i think i read that somewhere.. ) i think he should, they are so popular, it seems many others love them, how could they discontinue them they are so tiny and cute, such a nice mix of childlike but not too much, and i just love tiny elfs, they look like they would run around in the forest at night i'll have to keep an eye open for them!
annina: I think it was personal thing for Rainman. He outgrew them. He seems to be focusing on larger male dolls recently. Basically larger dolls in general I personally would love if he re-released the tiny elf ones.
AreeElf, i thought that too, as he made these hana one's bigger (they are not really my taste) and seems to be making more bigger dolls it's a shame, those older tiny elfdolls are so cute! what if we all made a petition, so he could see that there are people who would love one more re-release? well i do understand that an artist wants to move on, after a while doing the same thing over and over get's boring, but it would be cool for his fans if he gave them another chance to get their favourite one!
He did post a poll a few months ago. We got outvoted for larger boy dolls A few people voted for tinies with an added comment. The older style more mature ones please. I wonder also if the molds for the older dollies need to be redone
I wish he would re-release the tinies as well........ and make a tiny boy! The Hana doll is a good size, but childlike dolls are not to my taste......a more grown up version of that would be fine, too!! I do understand that artists move on, but I hope that he thinks of us with some special sets in the future.
i did read about that poll when reading this thread, a shame that you got outvoted by requests for larger dolls. i am the same, i find myself not really liking childlike tinies, i love mature ones, and those elfdolls are so perfect, so tiny but still mature-ish and just so lovely! well i know that i will have to bring either a Lyn or MinDelRe home, no matter what, some day, so i'll just hope one will come up somewhere!
I like both childlike and mature. I do hope one day to hve a more mature tiny. I keep just missing out on the elfdoll ones
Im affraid we alwasy get out voted well thats what it feels like there were requests for a boy Elf when Sylph and Adel were released the lady we were ordering from put in a request for a boy so far there has been anything but and although I like the Hana ...Im not a fan of the larger dolls Jin arrived today its lovely to have the 3 sisters back again ..I shouldnt have sold them in the first place next on my Elf want list ...Adel
yay for the re-uniting of your elfsisters, tinybear, it must feel nice to have them "back" i think i will write an email to elfdoll, saying that i just came into the bjd world and fell in love with the tiny elfdolls (will state names, Min Del Re and so on) and that it is a shame they are not made anymore, and if they wouldn't consider re-releasing some. just to give one more "vote", and maybe if they have gotten some others over time, they would do it?! one can always hope annina
Have you got some news about Tiny elfdoll? Elfdoll have not do limitend as they said. They will do it or not? Because I search à Min del re, Jin dal re or Lyn and i hope they will do limited...
I dont think anyone has heard anything from Elf doll at all about the Tinys Hana was supposed to be limmited too ...and she is still available I dont think anyone knows anything
a question to you elfdoll specialists: does JinDalRe have the same body like MinDelRe and BongSunHwa? if not, what are the differences? (i looked with serach but couldn't find nude comparison pictures of these three) and what about the face moulds, are they the same for JinDalRe and MinDelRe? (it looks like to me but i have not seen any "very-close-ups") btw, didn't hear back from elfdoll. annina
The Monaemi sisters all have the same body, the two-piece small bust. As for faces, Jin and Min sure look similar.
Jin and Min look similar but there are differences ,Jins jaw is squarer and her eyes are larger and her mouth smaller and slightly open the 3 sisters have a 1 peice body and the others have 2 peice body Sisters all share the same body ..there were are of cases of the odd Elf doll being sent out with the opposite body the 3 Sisters ...an old photo all my old sidters have the 1 peice body and my new ones do too My old Jin with the one peice body (although she has a ribbon around her waist ) and my Old Sylph with the 2 peice body a close up on Bongs 1 peice body I did for a restringing photo and a catsy
thankyou clochette, and thanks a lot tinybear, this was very helpful! i was considering to get a JinDalRe and change her eyebrows, but i see now that it would not work out for me, i just love MinDelRe, also even though many say her default wig is little messy, i just love it on pictures, love it for the messyness. and now that i see both their faces together, i don't really like JinDalRe's broader "jaw". thanks again for the help!
And just as an FYI, Annina, the Wendy doll has the larger bust 2-pc body, while the Winky is the one-piece like the 3 sisters. Not sure about Olivia.... Wig-wise, the newer sisters come with a removable wig, not the wild fiber thing attached to the headcap like my older girl had. So there's lots of options!
