1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

eLuts Price Raised!

Nov 30, 2004

    1. I'm sure after the holidays, the USD will pick up. People are feeling more secure about the economy, there are more jobs, and people are actually spending, on average, $700 for the holiday season. That's up a decent bit from last year. :)

      These things happen. Hopefully, even if you have to wait a little longer to get the extra $50, it will be worth the wait for your doll. :)

    2. *cries* dammit... I should have just ordered her on Friday like I was going to. This SUCKS.

    3. Thanks Leadora and AmericanjeZebel~ You guys'll have hell to pay if there is a customs fee and I don't have the money to pay it lol!
      JK you guys, seriously thanks :D

    4. Of course~ Not like I don't have to wait for her anyhow lol. Thanks to el Economy, my parents can't give me my $380 all at ones :(

    5. Whoops, those 2 guest posts were me ^^;

    6. Afer DOD going up I soooo expected this to happen, I wonder if BlueFairy and Angel Region shall be next X_X Now the El I plan to get has gone up....... like 60 cnd dollars grrr. Oh well I'm not getting him till like next fall anyway

    7. New rule: if you collect dolls, you now are required to study macroeconomics. This, I swear, is a textbook case.

      ...though it is unfortunate if you were undecided about ordering and this bad news arrived! O_o;

    8. Wow....I'm very lucky. I literally ordered my white skin El last night. O_O Paid for him and everything...can't wait for him to get here. ^_^

    9. That, is scaringly true. ^^;;;;;

      And I really doubt the dollar would pick up, though didn't the Euro or Greenspan or somebody (yes, you can tell that I do NOT watch the news) say that the'll interfere if they keep dropping? :oops:

      The good old days was about 5 years ago.... when it was $1 - 150yen... My shopping spree was SO happy. Now it's $1 - 102yen. :o America is dead. :cry:

      I do hope the economy will get better though...... *le sigh*

    10. Thank you! Finally, someone who totally agrees with me! With the election over people will start spending again soon, especially this holiday season. And with electronics (like iPods, computers, Plasma TVs, and not to mention video games) being high on wishlists this year people are going to be spending a lot more.

    11. Great..now I KNOW I won't be able to get my doll soon...I'm not going to be getting enough money on christmas.

      And my dad is even more dissapointed in me now...

      I might as well give up.

      *curses american econemy*

    12. Hmmm... it's nice to be optimistic, but even though Christmas spending is up by about 4% over last year, other indicators seem to indicate a lack of faith in the economy among people, and the dollar falling is a sign that outside investors don't have much faith, either.

      At the rate things are going, I can't see the economy turning around quickly. The dollar has been low in the past and it can often take years for it to climb back up...

      And even if it did... It's doesn't necessarily mean Luts would reduce their prices...

      Heh--I'm the voice of Doom and Gloom! But miracles can happen, so who know? (In the meantime--keep saving that money... and then some!) :cry:

    13. Those price increases aren't as bad as I feared, but it still stinks.

      Wait until more countries start talking euros... it's only going to get worse before it gets better. Economists have been predicting this for a while.

    14. *cough*

      I don't have faith in that happening in teh next 4 years...

    15. Hm. I would have thought that Christmas is actually helping to prop up current prices. The slump of the greenback has been coming for a while now, and I'm not sure that it's going to pick up after Christmas. It's not the spending there that's the problem, it's, as April said, a lack of faith in the economy as a whole. This is investors, who are trading the currency, rather then the consumers within the market. There's a lot of political reasons, and actually I've been rather amazed at the stead-fastness of investors through recent events. It might pick up a little, but not enough I fear to ease US exchange rates, at least, not for some time. -_-

    16. I do. These next four years are going to be much better than the alternative, that's for sure. And if they do abolish the IRS (which is looking like they will) the only tax will be a sales tax. So people will spend a lot more and the dollar will get much better.

    17. ::Blinks:: theyre abolishing the IRS? Where did you hear that from? ::interested:: but then..

      what about social security, medicare and the other taxes the government takes out?? I've worked waaay too hard to not have social security when I retire... How will the government make money if not for taxes?

    18. Fox News, it's been a big topic of discussion. I don't think it would be appropriate to give you the link in a post, but I can PM it to you.

      As for Social Security, you'll be able to put some of your money in to something like a bank account (not really a bank account, more like a savings account) for retirement. It's mainly putting the peoples' money back in their pockets.

    19. I hope they get rid of the IRS. Ugh. Annoying people. As it seems, the age requirement for collecting SSI keeps getting pushed back, so I highly doubt I'd see any of my hard work coming back to me. I do sometimes wish I were Canadian; they get healthcare through their government without requirements. I know my medication costs are sucking my income up quick. I just want my dolls! :crushed

    20. Me, being the FREAKO 13 year old I am, watch CNN daily, and know whats goign on in the stock market. o.o;;

      Japan dropped bakcing the yen with greenbacks, as so eloquently put, and Japan is one of the biggest economies in the world. So. *sigh* I'm not too happy with my favorite country right now. o_O
