The only tax will be sales tax? WTF Oregon and Montana don't have sales tax. Russia is also dumping their american dollars. Hold on to your hats ladies we're in for a ride. I think the only boost to the US economy would be having some trade item that lots of other countries want/need. I don't see that happening soon. Course we could threaten to cut off foreign aid if they keep dumping their dollars.

next to all teh stores in my area are closeing down... theres no jobs. theres no money

my little cusion's elementray school, a very good school is having troubles buying books and supplies. due to goverment cut backs on education.

That's all fine and dandy, believe what you want but do not insult me because I'm for Bush. Yes, I'm against gay marriage, I don't care as much about the envirovment as I do about the war, and I'm for enforcing the second ammendment and use it almost every week. So you can go about thinking what you want, and I'll think what I want. But I'd rather not discuss it here as it wouldn't be appropriate seeing as this is a place to talk about dolls, not politics.

Anyhow, if you want to support the American dollar, a good way to start is probably not by buying ball-jointed dolls from Asia. On the other hand, investing in foreign markets probably also helps stimulate investment in America; I don't know, I'm not an economist. Just sayin'.

I wish I had seen this sooner. People PLEASE do NOT talk politics. This is against the rules of the forum. This board includes a lot of people with many different beliefs....liberal, conservative, independent, you name it, I'm sure we have it here and someone is bound to be offended by these comments you are making (and I'm talking about BOTH sides of this argument, so don't think I'm chastising any one person). Politics has no place here as it tends to lead to flame wars. If you continue with this the thread will be deleted or locked. So please calm down and get back talking about dolls. ops:

 

It's unfortunate that the dollar is losing value compared to other currencies. Though I'm sure by the time I have enough to get a doll it'll get better. At least I hope so. lol

I just wish our president could do something to actually give the economy a good swift kick in the pants. lol But as I don't forsee that happening...looks like I may end up waiting another four years. Oh well, we can't be winners all the time.

Liberal though I am, I don't see the point in harping on the president. So he got re-elected, it'll take more than a few less than desirable years to ruin America. I just wish he'd think about his actions as a whole a little more. Oh well, hopefully in the next election a more balanced candidate will get the votes.
