Ever Been Spooked (Directly or Indirectly) By Your Doll?

Mar 1, 2007

    1. I cannot have a doll in my room period!

      I took all my dolls (not bjd's) out of my room. I can't stand them sitting there staring at me. But then I'm a paranoid nut, so I tend to imagine them being like Chucky and coming to life.:sweat:|:doh

    2. My friend's doll, Takumi, was staying in my apartment one weekend because my friend was out of town and didn't want him to be lonely. She got him 3 months ago and since then had not gotten him any shoes, wig, or new clothes, he only had one outfit. Takumi spends his days with Razidae who has a considerably larger wardrobe.

      One day when I put him down on my roomie's printer then came back an hour later my roomie picks him up so we can all go to dinner and finds that the decorative chain on his belt holding his outfit closed had fallen clean off. The chain in question was connected to another chain by a thick link soldered closed then sewn onto the belt. The sewn on part was still sewn on but the chain has somehow separated off of the other link and fell loose. None of the links were missing nor show any hints of prying. The links were a mm thick and my roommate is weak enough that I open her juice caps for her. The chain had somehow phased through.

      None of us can explain how it happened but now with the chain hanging loose, Takumi's one outfit was ruined and my friend now HAD to buy him new clothes. And she did. No more broken clothing items appear on him now. My friend chalked it up to Takumi finally getting fed up with watching Razidae get pretty and new things and demanding her attention. I still don't know what to think. ^^;;

    3. I think that is probably spookily true. Zeelzaroth flat out stole clothes that were intended for Gwen. I laid out all the Dollmore clothes that had arrived in my order and I tried some jeans on him because Gwen was wearing a complicated dress and I didn't want to take it off her just yet. When I tried to get the jeans off, he wriggled and kicked out really violently, it was much more than the usual joint wiggles dolls give and it really creeped me out, so I had to leave him sitting on my bed with his jeans half way down his bum and he was really glaring at me.

      When I came back the jeans were on him properly again, but the fly wasn't zipped up, so I picked him up and for some stupid reason I said out loud "Look, whoever gets to keep these jeans, I still need to wash them before you wear them properly" and Zee relaxed and the jeans came off :? I think he's also persuaded Gwen that she doesn't want jeans because she crumples whenever I try and put them on her!

    4. Tomoyo use to scare me all the time. We never really had a good relationship off the bat. As soon as I had opened the box she was in, I was like, "Oh em gee, she's scary!" She would use to sit in the guest bedroom, neglected [Bad Vita!], because she just freaked me out that much. Anyways, the guest room just so happens to be my little work-out room. One day, while bouncing on those huge bouncy balls, she fell off and I flipped off the ball in the oust undignified manner. When I picked her up, I swear she was glaring at me. Since then, we've made peace. XD She's also staying at her "father's" place but anyways!

      Kazuya on the other hand has been showered with love. He hasn't really freaked me out yet so I hope it stays that way!

    5. being a person who owns living dead dolls, wants to own teddy scares and voodoos, and at a younge age wanted a chucky doll i dont think ill be frightened by dolls

      but then again the fact that bjds are known to "kick" and move could very possibly scare me, that and ive heard people say some of the eyes seem to follow them around the room, and that would freak me out...

      lol kinda silly to think bjds have a better chance at scaring me than living dead dolls and chucky dolls

    6. A little OT , I used to had 2 porcelain dolls opposit my bed, and a pierrot clown doll sitting on a trapeze hanging on the wall. Now, when the trapeze began to swing side to side on the wall on its own in the middle of the night, no doors or windows open and I'm just lying still in bed, then I was scared. ^^;
      I'm not really scared of any of my BJDs except for Kana when I first recieved her.

    7. One of my dolls, Hitomi, has 'blind' eyes. Before I moved her she was sitting on the TV cabinet at the end of my bed with her head slightly tilted. I woke up one morning, had a quick peek at her and froze because she seemed to be looking straight at me! Her head was on a direct eye contact level with mine...........

    8. that has happened to me before because my dolls used to sleep right next to my bed. i woke up one morning and my Ducan was literally leaning forward and staring right into my eyes. i kind of froze for awhile before i could tell myself he wasn't possessed and didn't really want to kill me...i hope :lol:

    9. Honestly, I wish Alice would do something freaky. It'd be so fun! :D
      I love scary things!

      I do have one little story though~
      One school night I was sweetly slumbering deeply, when I suddenly woke up. I only wake up in the night if I have to go to the bathroom, so I woke up sort of confused. I checked my alarm clock and saw that it was only 4 AM, not time to get up yet, so inside I did a little victory dance.
      :)
      Then I froze up, realizing that my clock doesn't have a backlight in it, and asked myself, "How could I see the numbers if the light isn't on?"
      And then I realized my lights were on. I have a shelf above my bed with string lights going across it, and I have an extension cord on the other corner of my bed that I plug them into.
      Alice sleeps on the pillow right next to the plug...
      :o
      So yeah, I was a little spooked, realizing my lights turned themselves on... Or maybe Alice was a little scared in the middle of the night?
      :aheartbea

    10. That's actually super adorable. Poor thing. :lol:

    11. Well thats kind of why i sold Faye, my 27cm obitsu. she changed position whenever i left the room, and she would always be looking at me in my bed the next morning...and yeah she would stare at me too.

    12. I had to change my Pacha's eyes out from this pinkish purple that followed you to big brown dull eyes that don't really move at all. That was when I first got her though, now I'm more attached to her and I don't get as spooked with her anymore. I am going to change her eyes to a more realistic style, same color though.

      Pacha may now have her own presence, but I love her so much so that I believe I don't have anything to be afraid of anymore.

    13. So many pages behind, but I would love to meet Robert one day. @_@ I love things that creep me out, and the pictures of him make me feel so uncomfortable.. I want to go talk to him. xD

      On topic, I don't think Kayl's ever done something creepy. I've only had him for a couple months, though, so I suppose he hasn't been around long enough to come to life. D: I hope he does one day. *Hugs him*

      A non-doll thing... I was sleeping one morning, and I half-woke up around four in the morning, and I looked at the door, and there was a silhouette of a man standing there.. and I looked at it.. and it was just standing there. oo At the time, I was so sleepy, I figured it was my dad, but when I thought about it later.. my dad's not that tall. And why would he stand there?
      And another time, my bedside lamp wouldn't turn on. I was too scared to try other lights, but it worked fine in the morning, and if there had been a black out, my clock would have been flashing at me. @_@

    14. Well, i dont know if this one counts, but it surely creeps me out.

      When i got one of my boys in the sales pics i did not notice anything. When i recieved him he kind of reminded me of someone i knew a long time ago and have not met since somewhere around 1997-1998 (yes, im old). I planned a completely different style for him, so did not feel bothered. He was going to be a blue eyed, shoulder length blond instead of brown short swept back hairstyle etc.

      Somehow i did not get around to change his eyes right away. He came from the company with random brown eyes. Then the company i ordered his wig from messed up the order numbers and send me exactly the hairstyle of the boy i knew. Then another company shipped me a free gift, a msd sized package of Marlboro's (his signature brand). In a surprise santa i got exactly his pants. I did not put any of these on him.

      Normally i always remove clothes and wigs before putting them in their boxes. I was showing a friend of mine my dolls who was playing a bit with them while i was in the kitchen. When we had to leave quite fast, he put him in his box. After returning home, i opened his box to take the clothes off to prevent staining. I was shocked.
      I have several big, big boxes with wigs and clothes, and he put exactly the right (or wrong) combo of clothes on him. Somehow he even managed to put a SD girl sweater i forgot about owning on him, which made him look even more like the boy i knew. He put a messager bag on him, and when i opened it, the Marlboro's where in.
      My friend does not know the person in question and stated the clothes and wig just looked "right" on him.

      They are so identical, it really, really scared me. Their so identical i think if anyone who knew us both saw them, id really have some explaining to do. They look so identical that if someone else had a doll looking this much like me, i'd go to the police to get a restraining order.

      This person never had any special meaning to me, just someone who was hanging around with the same group of people. I googled him, there wasnt much, he seems to be doing fine, got a regular job and judging the pics in his facebook has a nice boyfriend. In the years between 1998 and now i can not recall ever thinking about him. I dont own any pics of him. I have no particular interest in seeing him again.

      There seems to be no special meaning, seems like just one of those things.
      Does scare me though.

    15. This is really silly, but I suppose that's what this thread is all about...

      DBDolls are shipped in a wicker casket. Which is really nice and I'll likely use as furniture of some sort in photoshoots..

      Since the doll is currently headless as none of the DBDoll heads 'spoke' to me, I've left him in the wicker casket as it made me sort of sad to play with him and him have no head. He's not a "character" yet.

      Well... I don't know if it's the wicker settling or what (I'm pretty sure there's a color shift in the wicker, anyway), but a few nights ago it creaked. Twice. Loudly. In the dead of the night. Like the doll was trying to get out. And, yes... I checked on him. >_>;

      A day later I took him out of the casket to check the size of something against him and when I put him back in the lid no longer fit flush. It didn't irritate me, so I left it alone until I passed the casket again and decided to try to move items around in the basket to get it to fit flush again. And it bothered me when I couldn't remember for sure if the position of his arms were the same as I'd left him in. :x (And, no, no one had been in my room between times. My family is rarely in my room as it is.)

    16. Aha, yes. I'd left Ingrid and Zero sitting up in their bunk bed. Both propped up and everything. I went to go to sleep later, and when I was nearly asleep, Zero "layed down" (I guess his back popped and sent him falling back, it does that sometimes but that was the first time) and took Ingrid with him. It startled me so badly!

    17. Hm... No, I am not the one to be scared, I always scare the other people, and always because I make him do things on purpose, almost never on his own unless he's just looking at a particular scaredy person.

    18. hehe once, one of my dolls sat on my table and it was dark in my room and a bottle of water was right next to him, i remembered putting it there. But when I wanted to grab the bottle I felt suddenly something very soft and pulled my hand right back.. but it was just the fluffy wig of my doll and the bottle of water was a few cm to the left.. it scared me though.. :sweat

    19. I have not been spooked by Akito. I have had several friends spooked by him. Once they start looking and handling him a bit, it is love!

    20. I recently developed the habit of taking a doll with me in bed so I can cuddle it when I wake up xD That's fine but sometimes I forget I did, and believe me that it's scary when you suddely find hairs tickle your face @3@

      But to me, there's never happened anything unexplainable so far, only the occasional stringing issues and scary glares which are ofcourse imaginary, but fun to pretend they're real.
