Ever Been Spooked (Directly or Indirectly) By Your Doll?

Other than putting your doll for a photoshoot, then you'll be getting few stuffs and then turn around and saw your doll almost to fall >.< which she luckily didn't fall, those mini heart attacked moment
Porcelain dolls are always scary for me.. they are too big.. and they have this expression just to stare without any emotions.
well there was an only exception back then I saw at Duty Free she was white skin, with ginger hair and green dress looks like a fairy :3

 

I sleep on the top bunk of a bunk bed and River usually sits in the corner edge where he's safe and stays close to me. I take a lot of selfies with my laptop camera, and you can usually see him hanging out in the corner. A few times though, his appearance has been rather creepy, especially if it's dark so you can only see his face floating next to me. It's creeped me and a few of my friends out on tumblr.

 

That would have scared me. I am creeped out by certain types of dolls, to think one had started talking to me would really give me the heebies.

 

Yes there is one time I angled my doll's face in the opposite side of where I was and then when I looked at her again, her face is angled almost facing me.
That was scary. But I just realized maybe I angled her in that direction and just forgot that I did it xD

 

Hahaha!!! No, not at all, but then again I'm kinda spooky myself.

 

Anyone here have any dolls that are haunted? I have several. I have seen the doll's eyes change colour while staring at her as well as seeing her facial expression change. I have also seen a misty apparition go and disappear into one of my dolls. I have seen a doll's eyes glow red. i have seen stuff that would send most people running away screaming but not me! I am hoping I can get some spirits or Demons to attach themselves to my BJDs as none of my BJDs are haunted at least not yet!

 

Haha Oh my gosh, that's awesome!! Great story XD I don't think I can beat that. My one and only kind of spooky moment was the morning after I got my first SD. I had placed her on the rocking chair next to my bed and when I woke up in the morning, I opened my eyes and it looked like she was looking RIGHT at me! Kind of gave me a start lol

 

I should *not* have read this thread! My only bjd is now sitting headless on a shelf overlooking my bed as he's been sent out for a face up. Maybe I'll put his body in the box until his head returns. *shivers*

 

My fright was more due to fall but still it shouldn't have happened. I was visiting my sister whom I had left Azure in the care of for a while. Taking him home along with another doll I had brought over as a model for sewing I told him jokingly "Thahti is now your Competition for favorite" I set Thahti in his lap and sit them on the couch together because Azure sits like a champ on anything and poses better than Thahti. Next thing I hear is a big thunk.
I turn around to see they had both fallen off the couch and Azure who's an msd smashing Thahti who is a yosd.
It did worry me. No one was even near them.

 

One time I sneezed and Cissy fell over. Not sure if this is the butterfly effect or if it was just a really powerful sneeze...

 

I am a bit creeped out by old porcelain dolls, but not of BJD at all. My aunty hates my dolls though, she thinks they look scary!

 

Haha, same here. I think porcelain dolls are useless, though.

 

Although I have yet to get a BJD, I have a few life size dolls and two mannequins.
One (Yvette) was out in the garage. Even though I knew she was there, it would still give me a start when I opened the door and saw her. It took months before I quit jumping.

 

I moved out of the house I lived in for the past 10 years pretty recently. That house had a lot of activity, especially in my room. But since I lived there for so long I got used to it and found ways to cope such as having pets so I can blame noises and such on them. Since everyone is sharing porcelain doll stories I figured I'd share mine too since my bjd isnt here yet. I was so used to the noises from that house that it really caught me by surprise one day when my little brother heard it as well. I have 3 porcelain dolls and one of them, the youngest looking one, would talk. Not like she was made to do it, I would just freaking hear her talk. After about 10 years of it I was used to it but my younger brother nearly fainted when he heard her one time. She has a sweet little girls voice and said my name. He froze and could not grasp what he had just heard, needless to say he refused to stay in my room. It was kind of nice for someone else to hear her for once, at least I know I'm not crazy.

I've never really been afraid of her, she's just kind of unusual you know? Since I've moved houses those she hasn't spoken once so that's pretty nice. I had nearly forgotten about her talking till I found this thread.

 

No but l like watching other people faces when they see my bjds due to they can scare them for some reason.

 

I'm not easy to scare, and my favourite movie genre is horror XD
Some friends think its creepy that when I hold my Hyo Shin she tilt her head in my direction.
I actually find that cute but I also know it's only because she's an hybrid and her neck isn't a perfect fit.

 

I bought a new pair of eyes for my MSD, Fawn, that I thought would look more realistic. However, they turned her into one of those dead-eyed horror movie dolls. Not really the effect I was going for.

Although that does give me an idea for this Halloween. Hmmm......

 

I've not been scared by my bjd girls, but it's fun to see how they freak out strangers! However I have been scared by my mannequins right in front of my bedroom door.../= I'd open the door late at night when it's dark and think she was a real person looking at me! Well then again she is real....hmmm...d'oh! She's holding a knife though, so it can get a lil scary ...hehehe...()

 

When I first got a BJD, an SD, I was freaked out when it was time to go to sleep for the first few days of having him. He gave off such an unexpected presence in my room since I was just not used to something so big in my room. Moreover he had/has glass eyes that followed me wherever I was in the room and that really had me spooked, especially since he faced the bed. I felt like he was watching me sleep and I had to keep looking at him to check if he had somehow moved .

Then there's my newest boy (who sits on my dresser in the same spot where my first BJD used to sit) where my mom was the one to point it out to me one night that his feet were dirty. I took a look and sure enough they did look dirty and I didn't know why since I had not moved him or stood him up recently. For a few seconds the thought ran across both of our minds that he was walking around the house when no one was home or when we were all asleep...that was a very weird and creepy thought. However, that feeling was eliminated when I turned on another light in the room to take a closer look and his feet didn't look dirty anymore. Turns out his feet looking dirty was the result of shadows being cast on his feet in the right places...What a relief LOL.

 

My dolls sit on a shelf right at the foot of my bed, so it sometimes startles me whenever i look over at them. Depending on where i stand in my room there always seems to be at least one looking right at me XD they've all got their heads turned different ways. The funniest one to me though was one i had sitting under my desk to keep the sun off him (being white skinned and all). When you sat on my bed and looked at my desk, Abe would be staring straight at you and kinda glaring from the shadows. So my bro was in my room once, and commenting on how how of the crew looked creepy, cause the way her eyes were reflecting the light made it look like they were broken. He was sitting on my bed and i was standing across from him by my door. I told him if he thought she was creepy he should look at the guy under the desk. I was laughing, knowing he'd be disturbed, until i looked over and Abe was now looking at my door. Right where i was standing. I had no recollection of turning his head at any time earlier so that freaked me out for a moment. XD
