1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Ever break your doll budget?

    1. Personally I have two different kind of spending limits. One's just my monthly card limit that applies to all hobby purchases within a month (not only bjds). The second one is a limit on how much I'm willing to spend on a single doll. That also means I will have to buy certain dolls new from the company instead of secondhand because I won't pay their secondhand prices.

So far I haven't gone over either of these limits. I am also single, have no kids or pets and I do my best to keep my fixed costs as low as possible. Also I have the privilege of living and working in a country with a currency (and salaries) comparable to the US. It doesn't mean much for domestic purchases but is noticeable when buying internationally.

    2. Oh yes haha. I always told myself I would never spend over $800 on a doll... Ha ha ha.. I just spend $2400 on one. :doh*_*

I do keep a savings specifically for hobbies so it's okay I guess.
