Everpurple Iris

Mine and Rosella's just arrived!! This is good quality doll!! All the parts only have one seam each, not two (except for the neck and the upper arms). The ankles and elbows are separate pieces to the feet. The elbows are similar to the Serendipity Mini14 design. She has some long and sharp little nails on her hands, and while the cranium is large, the face is smaller.

Each doll came with a pair of gift eyes, random colour. The NS resin does seem to match NS Volks well, although my samples are more yellow than this fresh girl, its a peachy sort of colour, while the WS is definitely more pinkywhite than purewhite or even cream white. The heads were packed separately from the body, and the WS head was with the NS body and vice versa. At first I was worried they gave us two WS heads, but all is well.

She's a good and stable little poser, but I'd recomment sueding the hips, knees and ankles to give them some grip as she definitely wants to pull her legs together. She reminds me a lot of my Ylisande in the leg posing department but is a lot easier to deal with because there are fewer components.

The surface textures do vary a little from piece to piece, some are glossy and some are matte, there are also small scratch-marks in some areas as if some emergency repair sanding was done, especially on the front of the left thigh, this appears to be a problem with the mold, but not very obvious.

 

I got mine today as well. I do agree that her hands look a bit teeny but otherwise I think she's perfect. Now I'm going to impatiently wait for them to start selling her high heel feet.

My gift eyes were a strange color! A very light sort of purple-grey with teal pupils.

Wow thanks for the great photos all! Twigling it's so helpful to see the two tones side by side, it makes choosing one much easier. She is absolutely adorable, I can't wait to see faceups. But nobody got a boy? I'm dying to seeeeee. That's ok though, I'm gonna order a boy Lusil and be done with

Iris is super gorgeous! This "pinky white" resin sounds like Notdoll resin... Can anyone compare them for me? Thanks a million!

Seriously gorgeous! She looks even better than in the website photos. You gave her a beautiful faceup. I'm just thrilled to see her with such a gorgeous, custom faceup.

Is her head shape sort of like the old Volks F08? That girl has one big noggin but I do love the way she can wear wigs. I can't wait to "play wigs"when my girl gets here. I don't have anything specific in mind for her. So it will be fun for me to see who she becomes.

Speaking of my Iris--still not here. Sniff. I think I'm going to be the last to receive mine. I'm rolling in disgusting self pity. Snap out of it!

the body is really amazing and delicat. It reminds me my Unoa zero.
the hands are really weird, fingers look like sausages é__è it seems they are unfinished.

 

Jay, her head extends more backwards than upwards like the F08, she doesn't have a fivehead just a serious cranium.

 

Seems like a good way to add instant volume to hair! I'll have to see if any of the wig I have for her actually fit...

 

I think she would take an 8-9 inch wig just fine, although best if it has an elastic cap, or you use a rubber band or silicone cap to give the wig some grip so it doesn't just pop off.

I think it's a close match Bliss, but I don't have any new Volks samples to compare to, only oldskin.

Can everyone who's received their Iris, please check under good lights whether there is any colour difference between the torso and the legs? And also between the torso and head? Rosella just alerted me to the fact that even in my pics you can see the head is creamier than the body, and when I took them out of their boxes to double check, I notice the legs are pinker than the torso in both dolls....

My WS Iris head is a different color and texture than the body. It is a touch more yellow toned and more slick.

Does anyone have a Iplehouse NS doll they could compare the resin colour with? I'm thinking it's probably a lot lighter?
Or a Zaoll Luv for a resin/height comparison?

I have Iplehouse gentle Freezia in NS. I can do a comparison once my Iris arrives. I'll try to remember to do that.
