1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Face shields for our dolls

Oct 5, 2008

    1. The Volks store sells them as well as Denver doll, Doll Peddler and pretty much every doll site. :)

    2. i'm looking for one too.....but is it just me or i can't find it at DDE? i remember I did saw it at DDE back then but now I couldn't find it.......can anyone link it for me? thanks a lot!

    3. The plastic bubble-protector from a blister-pack light bulb works a treat, and it's free with a light bulb!

    4. Thanks everyone! *trotting off to doll sites to buy some face shields*

    5. Sorry if there's a thread like this...

But i MIGHT be taking my doll on a plane tomorrow. Except i don't have her face-cap with me... so how can I protect her faceup while she's in my bag? I'll probly carry her onto the plane with me if i take her.

      She is an MSD doll.
      Thanks much! :)

    6. People have had success using clean slurpee-cup tops and an elastic to hold it on.

    7. The plastic covers at starbucks, McDonald's (for the frozen mocha drinks) etc. I like to go in starbucks since they usually always give me one without having to buy anything lol. I would tape some tissue or soft cloth to the inside to protect your dolls face as well. And I just use a rubber band to secure it over the dolls face or ribbon.

    8. Run right down to the corner store, get a clean, new slushie cup, and ta-da! You might want to cut notches for particularly long ears or to fit around the neck a little, but it's a good start.

    9. Even a styrofoam cup, cut in half, and secured with a rubber band is sufficient.

    10. I've had dolls arrive to me with the cut in half styrofoam cup--the top portion is what was used. Their faceups were perfect.
