It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Fairyland Chic Line clothing, shoe, and wig database - Useable vs. REALLY FITS

May 18, 2010

    1. Thanks luckeegurl! They had some outfits on clearance at my local supermarket but I was afraid to buy any if they wouldn't fit.

    2. I just bought a Tonner Tyler dress for my Chicline, and it is WAY too big. I got the impression from reading this thread that Tyler clothes were supposed to fit. The dress was even loose on my Minifee.

Where am I supposed to get clothing for this girl?

    3. hen88 - it really depends on the clothing - whether it's stretchy or not, etc. What kind of style does your girl want to wear? Maybe we can point you in the right direction?

    4. Thanks for responding. I am looking for modern fashionable clothing - anything from the Anthropologie look to more elegant evening wear. I also like some of the punky edgy stuff.

I would love it if you could steer me in the right direction. Thanks!

    5. hen88 - I don't know what style the Tonner dress was that you found too large. However, if you look for items for 16" Fashion dolls (Sybarites and Avant Guarde dolls seem to be good resources) or for slim minis such as Narae/Unoa, keep these things in mind...

Sleeves and Legs may run long so a style that's naturally shorter there will work better. Collars have a tendency to run large in scale - actually things for 1/6 action figures are more in scale to Chicline heads and some of their shirts DO fit! I've even put a shirt for a LTF on my Lishe and belted it - looked great!

Stretch is definitely your friend. I often design my CL clothes using stretch for that very reason - they're much easier to fit! Leggings intended for slim mini GIRLS fit the guys, believe it or not. Stretchy tanks/Ts for Narea/Unoa can fit Lishe but will not be as tight.

If you're looking into a pricey purchase might not hurt to ask here if anyone knows about the fit on that particular item. I lot of CL owners have other dolls in this scale and fashion dolls (*ssssh!* LOL) and may have first hand experience to save you the trouble.

      Hope that helps!

    6. Thanks so much!

    7. Wonderful outfits! Love the colors and patterns of the fabrics!

    8. I plan to try some Antoinette stuff on my Ino and Lishe when I get a chance (same body as Cami and Jon). Should be interesting to see how the Antoinette fashions look.

    9. Here at long last is a picture of my Ino with a face-up done by me that I can live with.

      She's wearing ginarolo's 6mm glass eyes, a 4" parabox wig, and Eclectic's blouse.

I tried several avantguards' outfits on her and here are the results:
Don't Fit: AG Lush dress, AG Livewire dress
Tight fit: AG Androgyny's pants, AG Eclectic's shorts
Great fit: AG Androgyny's jacket (just don't try any top with sleeves underneath it), AG Eclectic's sheer blouse, yellow vest and fur jacket.

    10. I just got this http://www.wildeimagination.com/p-168-barely-evangeline-outfit-only-sold-out.aspx evangeline ghastly outfit to try on my girl. She has a minifee head, but the c-line body. It kiinda fits, it seems as though the torso piece on the outfit is a little long, and her hips are a little wider than the outfit. Also, her boobs definitely do not fill it out. The stockings mostly fit, but come up higher on the c-line than the Evangeline, so you don't see the straps that attach them to the skirt. The shoes don't fit at all, they're way too big.

    11. crimsonbrush: Your girl is small bust, right?

    12. dhawktx, yup! small bust, cutie legs ^-^

    13. Um...I wanted to ask how minifee or unoa sized clothes fit on these guys? Do most clothes generally fit/not fit or does it vary piece by piece?

As much as I like the glamorous high fashion looks these guys can pull off, I'll probably have to find someone to commission historic/steampunk and casual clothes for my future dolls. I figured I should approach someone who sews for minifee or unoa.

Thanks for all the help so far! :)

    14. Give it a little time guls207! These guys are brand-spankin' new and it always takes clothing designers a while to catch up. Soon you'll see C-Lines in all sorts of stuff, not just high fashion.

    15. Has anyone tried Ellowyne Wilde shoes yet?

    16. Crimsonbrush - thanks for sharing. Looks like a tiny bit of modification would make a pattern for evangeline fit just right.!

    17. It's all hit or miss...the bodies actually come out to around 1:5 scale and their style/exaggerations are different from true fashion dolls. For the fitted look of Victorian/Steampunk, you're really going to have to find a seamstress with a C-Line body to work with. I've spent a week on and off trying to get my fitted dress sloper working right.

    18. I got some 1:6th sunglasses for a project of mine that is in perpetual limbo,
but I tried them on my Rou, and they seem to fit very well.
They have functional hinges though, so that might be why they even fit.
I got them off of eBay, I can’t recall the maker or the name of the figure
they were parted from, but I do recall the likeness of the figure was of Kiefer Sutherland.

The wig sort of gets on the way of how they sit, but w/out a wig they sit
very nicely and they are not too small (IMHO). Just In case anyone is looking
for sunglasses – they are definitely not for Sephy here. ^.~
