1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Fairyland Chic Line clothing, shoe, and wig database - Useable vs. REALLY FITS

May 18, 2010

    1. A friend of mine uses a little blob of white glue on the tops of the heads and the wigs stay on quite well. She told me that if she wants to change the wig it just pops right off without any residue at all.
So I tried it last night and it worked great! I shook the doll upside down and the wig didn't move. When I went to remove the wig it came off easily and cleanly.

    2. I use silicone (the swimmer's earplugs in plastic box.) no residue; non-slip for anything, including strapless tops and "pierced look" earrings, in a hand to hold a prop, etc. I even made fake boobs for my Shinydolls - molded in the right shape and siize - to fill out their bodices.

white glue like Elmer's is great. removes easily, goes where you want it. Don't glue the wig on, just use it for friction. great for earrings, hair, lashes. but, it takes forever to dry, so tacky sewing glue is also good and dries faster.

hot glue will also work to hold on wigs. peels off with no problem. put strip across doll's head, cools in seconds. wig doesn't slip and the glue stays put when you take the wig off. (don't put the wig on when the glue is hot!)

    3. Thank you so much petiteballerine, those are some great tips!

    4. Thanks for the tips petiteballerine!! Especially the boobie one. I have some girls with small and tiny bust. This will help with filling out those corsets! I also use the silicone ear plugs for eyes, never thought to use it for wigs.

    5. Great tips, petitballerina. I use that silicone for everything! Super for holding props, too.
      One dumb question for you,
mojomaca. What is TTYL, please? I did a general search for it or them on DoA, but didn't get a handle. Is it a company or a private seller? Thanks!

    6. Hah! sistercuervo, thats text speak for Talk To You Later...

    7. Now I'm curious to see if the company's name really is Talk to You Later, as that would be amusing. I had assumed it wouldn't be the same as the txt term, but you never know. XD

    8. You crack me up, dhawk.:XD:

    9. I totally typoed that -- it is TTYA, so sorry! :) She has a TTYA.com and an Etsy shop, and also sells through nDoll (and even Fairyland carries her stuff.) I just bought a bunch of littlefee and pukifee stuff -- shipping is only $4 through her etsy shop.

    10. OMG! That's too funny! That's what I get for not going back to check the original reference...D'Oh!

    11. I happend to buy a Chic line Lishe at a lokal doll fair, I was really happy as she was on my wish list since she came out. I am a great fan of the Lishe sculpt. But it seems more difficult to find something to dress her in than I had hoped for. The first three outfits I tried where a R&D Angel outfit that totally not fit, no way to get the skirt over her hips. Second was a Gene lingery set, same here, no way to get it over her hips. Third was a Gene outfit that I managed to get on but the skirt does not close, the blouse I had to use upside down and still did not close all buttons, the shoes fit quiet well but the closure is a little loose. The hat is odd even on Gene dolls......

    12. These are such nice outfits, Biggy :-)

    13. anybody knows if american model shoes would fit? :)

    14. too big. tonner tyler, etc and Mdme Alex can fit well, depending on the shoe. Superfrock can fit too.
sometimes even with the same shoes one pair will fit and one won't. but, lots of my Tyler footwear looks great and she can stand in them.

    15. maybe we should create an actual database for this in a table or something on a website? im willing to host a website if people give me stuff which really fits against what doesnt. its just annoying looking through the many pages >.<
