1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Fairyland Chic Line clothing, shoe, and wig database - Useable vs. REALLY FITS

May 18, 2010

    1. I don’t know if I’m allowed to post this here, but I’m in need of some help.
My roommates and I are doing some Gundam 00 characters dolls and I’m having a wig fail….finding wigs in Chicline size is hard enough but I can’t find much of anything that fits what I’m looking for.

      I need three wigs
Lockon (2), Allelujah (2), and Marie

I tried to commission a new custom wig maker here on the DOA which was an awful mistake. They were so terrible I had to send them back (there was some drama thera)….I haven’t looked for a custom wig maker since. So I was hoping check this thread and see if anyone could point me in a direct to find these wig?

I have checked Facets (which might have something I can use for Lockon but there will a lot of cutting and styling :o), I’ve looked at Fairyland, Denver Doll, and randomly on ebay.

If you guys could offer a little bit of help, be it a trusted custom wig maker or a store with the styles I’m looking for, I would be forever grateful!

    2. Wigs that need to lie close to the scalp are always hard to come by; 'tis the nature of a traditional wig to puff up. If you are at all crafty, you might try making a hard cap wig like this tutorial.

      http://gertygirl.com/Tutorials.aspx

Or try looking for a hard cap wigmaker on a board that caters to the Sybarite crowd.

    3. I don't know if this woman does hard car wigs for smaller dolls or not but you could try asking. I know she makes hard cap wigs for SD size, but she makes clothes for Sybarite and her dolls are wearing the same type of hard cap wigs she sells in SD size.

    4. I'm looking here at Facets:
      http://www.facetsbymarcia.com/wigshop45.htm
The JoJo might work for Lockon with a little curling and gel and could work for Allelujah as well. Marie could use Pretty Girl or Paris, just with parting it and using gel on the part. It might be easier than making a hard-cap wig.

    5. Thanks ever so for the great pictures and review of these boots for our Chicline males.

    6. Very nice, indeed. Good fit and proportion to his feet, too. You've sold me! My boys need these.

    7. Dangit! Those boots are fabulous. My bank account does NOT need fabulous right now!

    8. I bought some capri leggings from HazelStreetDesigns seeing as her shop had been suggested several times and the fit is perfect! I also got this top for minifee from Goodbyeyouhellome but the fit is really good on her, maybe a little loose in the waist but it's doesn't look off at all, just casual. My girl is large bust but I don't think this would look off on small bust. All in all I'm pretty happy with her shirt. Shoes are from Facets and have been mentioned several times, andthe belt is from the depths of my clothing box and that's all I know about it lol.

    9. Gorgeous, xhanthi! Glad to hear you like the HazelStreet Capris :)

    10. Thank you so much guys for the info!

    11. They looks so hawt! I got her some shorts too but now I'm not sure she's a shots type of girl... Maybe I'll have to mod them into daisy dukes or something.

    12. Anyone close enough to see the gap had better be kissing him, that all I've got to say about THAT! Ha!

Thank you so much for the photos. Another question. What do these look like all by themselves. You say paperweight - but that means nothing to me. In my defense, I've only been doing this a bit more than a year!

      Thanks Enzyme!

    13. I'd LOVE to see a side by side of them...that's been one of my sticking points on ordering, not being sure what I would get.

    14. Some do! My girl's both wear a pair of jeans/pants from the Alice Cullen Tonner doll which fit really well. The top was a little big, but it fit my MNF's so it all worked out ;)

    15. Thought I'd pop in and share this infinity dress that Ban made or me. I'm loving how convertible it is! I'm still learning how to wrap it different ways though. I believe the pattern was originally for MNF but because it's so simple the only major change when making it was to resize the waist. Anyway, original MNF thread can be found {here}

    16. My sewing is nowhere near as good as Ban's, but I love making these dresses. I've made 2 so far and they are pretty easy to make and customize. I need to make some for my mnf/chic hybrid.

It looks great on your lishe! Love that fabric!

    17. Thanks, that fabric is brilliant isn't it? I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't commission people to sew me things, I'm so terrible at sewing!

    18. Okay!! My WS small-bust Lishe finally arrived, and I went on a clothing-trying-on extravaganza!! :D

I'm not sure if we're allowed to post more than one picture per post, so I'm going to post one and then link to my gallery of her pics on Flickr to show the rest (the clothing details are in the picture captions.)

Pardon the terrible picture quality -- I'm not allowed to lift/bend/crouch/etc. while I'm healing from surgery, and these were all just quick snapshots to check the fit of the outfits.

      Tonner Antoinette cami
      Dollmore Fashion Doll-sized pants
      Paul_Zhangby belt
      "Lotus" AvantGuards wig
Paul_Zhangby Ellowyne-sized boots from eBay (Yes, she can free-stand perfectly well in these!)

Gallery, with a bunch more outfit pieces & fit descriptions.

Dollmore Fashion Doll boots fit and she can stand securely in them.

Just a warning -- it's gorgeous, but the AvantGuards "Bijoux" outfit doesn't fit -- I had thought that it might work on my small-bust girl, but sadly the torso of the AvantGuards is just too long -- it fits perfectly at the waist and hips, but the bust area is in the wrong place.

    19. She's a beauty Ashbet! Is that a modified Factory Faceup?
