As far as I'm concerned the Gene clothing is a bust; the scale, weight and clunkiness are so out of sync with the C-Line girls. Gene garments look like "dolly clothes" on Lishe. Sad, because when Gene first came out, we all thought it was sooooo wonderful and now it just looks clumsy. My Gene collection all dates from the first couple of years (97-98) so more recent stuff might look better. Gene has a smaller waist but most things do fit; they just don't look realistic.

Sparkling Seduction was the best of the lot.The wig is from Ruby Red for Bisou AI, 4.5" but it is WAY big in back. Lishe does not have much bulge at the back of the skull.


Lishe ended up in an Albert Nippon scarf; the soft thin fabric was much more in-scale. With my Gene clothes there were several pairs of Kingsgate pumps and a pair of their sandles. They fit well but the pumps look so out of date compared to the new Candi pumps. Probably Kingsgate has changed their styles by now.


Newline miniatures makes wonderful boots for 1/6 scale action figures. Here is Lishe in some standard Gene mules with ankle ribbons. Good fit but without the ribbons the Gene mules just fall off.

Oh my gosh, so many goodies! I have Kingstate shoes and boots too (and I'm too old to realize they're out of fashion, ROFL) I'll have to try using them! But those cowboy boots! And I wonder if those hats would fit? Everything is so awesome, but I think you forgot to say where you got that awesome undies and tank set! That's lovely!

This is lingerie from Madame Alexander's Alexander Fairchild Ford (the shoes were a no go) - the shoes she is wearing are an excellent fit and are the Candi pumps from Facets by Marcia, and there is no gap at the back of the heel:

pamdora - Great shot. The black shoes looked like they really fit! Where did you get the Vanity table?

 

aznbutterfly - I've had that vanity table and seat for maybe 7 years - it was a line of doll furniture that was clearanced and sold at Tuesday Morning stores, and I believe it was called 'maddy mcpaddy' - most of the furniture was in scale for American Girl but this was an odd one. Perfect for this scale.

 

Those black boots look just like the combat boots I wore in the army. I had to take a second look to make sure they weren't full size. I am going to have to find them. Tamir (Dark Soo) needs boots. I bet they will work for her with socks.

All of the wigs fit perfectly. The shortest ones stay on upside down, the rest start to slide or fall off instantly because of their greater weight. Lishe does have a pretty tiny head for a wig to try and hold on to None of the wigs were styled of trimmed, just straight out of the package and a quick smooth with a soft infant's brush. FYI, most of the styles are out of stock on realistic blond shades. I did not try any curly/wavy styles nor fantasy colors (yet!)

First up, the main reason I placed a wig order
Short hair Black


Long Straight hair Black Nice narrow hang, no poofiness at all, perfect bangs.


Hand Transplanted straight hair Brown (?) Color DOES match the web image; brown just seems an odd word to describe this color! Scalp is hand knotted, very thin and flat. Described as able to part on either side as desired, hence it sort of hangs in her face. I think a bit of hot water may be needed to establish a part-line and tame the shorter bits that happen with traditional hand knotting (transplanting/ ventilating). Again, a nice narrow hang.


Long Bob Shining Brown. Way too much hair! I may remove a row of wefting to reduce the bulk. Kinda poofy on the sides.


Medium Length Layered Platinum Blond This style seems like it was meant for a head with no body. The curl just bumps into her body and flops to the side. Hot water?


Again with the Short Hair, this time blond (another odd word choice)


All-in-all, a good haul! Everything fits and no insurmountable problems.

 

Ah, thanks for that, genie! That's really helpful! Good to know there's more wigs that fit out there.

 

I'v tryed on most of the clothes that l have for Rini (she is here now) and the teen trend clothes don't fit (why too big) also the shoes are way too big for her. The F2BM clothes that l have as well like the pants don't fit and the t-shirts fit but are alittle bit big but that's ok. I'v had a pair of tonner girl pant as well but way to long and she can't sit in them. What l found out that fits her is the kens t-shirts, groovy girl shirts (not sure on there pants) and the next thing that l will try on her is the 16"dollmore fashion pants that l got for her plus a pair of shoes when they get here.

Capin Janeway Thanks for that update! I have kind of manly Ken shirts that my grandmother made, I love using stuff my grandmother made, but I don't know how the style will look. Who knows, though, could be I can make a funky outfit with some of that stuff LOL. I can't wait to har about the dollmore fashion pants! I have some of their dresses that I truely hope will fit (they look so small!!!) Gosh, I seriously can't wait until my doll arrives! I hope it won't be too long now

 

IngieBee not a promble and just hang in there l understand the wate can drive one crazy. I wonder what there kind of faceplates there going to come up with for the L-thinging that our dolls came with. Rini head is very small thought if l can find the right head/faceplate for her l wouldn't mind changing it.

 

Genie, thank you so much for the review of the Parabox wigs. I think I'm going to have to order a couple for my Ino. I just wish the long wig without bangs in dark brown was in stock. It would be perfect!

Love the wig on them, aznbutterfly--is it the 4-5 or the 5-6? I was just getting ready to order one from Marcia Facets.
I've found that the Teen Trends shoes fit better than the Tonner boy shoes on my Rou. I wonder if his feet are larger than the girl's? I only have a Rou, but am considering getting a girl in the near future.
Those are some pretty Paarabox wigs, GenieStallings. They look really great. Love your jeans. They fit fantastic.
Just a note on the Newline boots. I have a ton of them and have tried them on Rou, and sad to say, they do not fit on his feet. Poor boy, he's got long feet.
