1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

FairyLand Fairy Line Mini discussion part 6

Dec 27, 2019

    1. i don’t know if the booklet even says to be honest. I know all it said for my dragon legs was don’t take them apart cause it would be too hard to get back together, but honestly I think fairyland strung those F60 dragon legs way too tightly because she can’t stand right and eventually I’ll have to restring her anyway.

There was no instruction with the minifee dragon legs I got when I bought them, just the legs.

    2. I have the small hippogryph that came out a couple of years ago and they said not to take those apart because they would be too hard to get back together, too. If we only have the option to buy them blank, someone is going to take them apart anyway, seems like it would be easier to give us some guidance. Oh well, we'll figure it out on our own, and help/teach each other while we're at it.

    3. Facts! I’ve taken Vaes’ra’s legs apart so I can 100% help you with the ones you’re getting if you need it! I suggest taking a photo or video as you’re taking them apart so you can see how everything fits back together!

    4. My doe body came in Friday and I finally got her open yesterday. I cannot for the life of me get her to stand on her own. I've tried with the upper body on and off and I'm feeling very frustrated. For now Eden's back on human legs.

    5. Oh no! Is it because the legs want to collapse? Like, the knees just won’t stay? It could just be strung really really tightly. Is there a way to take a video of it to upload?

    6. It's mostly the center of gravity, the movement of the hips/thighs are kind of limited. We (my partner and I) tried a number of positions and found one that stayed upright, but without the upper body. I'll keep trying, but the doe body is not feeling very dynamic. I may have to creatively use props to help keep them up.

    7. Oh, yeah, the hips really do only move forwards and backwards. There’s a thigh cut for the dragon legs so the leg itself can move the ankle sideways but it really can’t do much in terms of movement. ☹️

    8. The "fawn" legs are a bit em fiddley, I was told they do not fit the male torse but have found they do really well.
I tend to leave my unicorn boy sitting, but I can get him to stand for photos, it takes work and I got to make sure his stance is right.
Not sure it will help much, but here is a pic of my Unicorn-boy standing. You want to be sure joints are locked and stance is not too wide or too narrow.

    9. Thank you so much! Your unicorn boy is gorgeous and the photo helps. I noticed that the hips were kind of big for the female torso, thankfully I have a male to try. I've found I really have to be flexible with my characters when it comes to dolls. I never expected resin to be so opinionated!

    10. Thanks, I adore how he came out. Glad the photo helps some. The fawn legs are not as stable as the dragon ones, but the dragon legs also have a long tail to help cheat balance.

And resin dolls can be opinionated and expressive it's so funny, like we all know they have no life of their own and yet somehow dolls seem to make their wants known.

And for fun one more shot of my awkward and shy unicorn. He is so grumpy about being half human the poor dear.

    11. Eden finally decided that she would stand up for me! I'm so proud of her. She has let me know that she wants a different shirt asap, this one is far too bulky.

    13. @Klaw She looks good, glad she final stood nicely for you. And she she stood with slight binds in her knees so bonus points.
Fawn legged dollies seem to have extra strong personality, mine flat out wont wear shirts, and yours seems mad at the "wrong one". XD
Well she looks nice anyway. <3

    14. @Pen-Pen Thank you! I'm thinking she may need a halter top or something similar. The shirt is impeding her arms.

@Tippetarius She's behaving for the moment, I may need to suede her a little bit on her hooves and "ankles" to give her a bit more stability. I'm delighted by their strong personalities![/USER]
