1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Fairyland Feeple 65 Discussion Part 7

Feb 22, 2022

    1. The thing is I'd really rather not resort to 3D printing, but it seems like the only option. I wish they would make the old headbacks available to buy.

    2. Unfortunately, it does seem like that's the case. When I bought the Dollshe head I did, it was dead stock (from Dollshe, this was years ago) and the only option I had was for the faceplate version. I think a few years later he went back to the various full heads, which I strongly prefer for dolls in general.

I'm very glad my full FL boy (he's a Ruth) is a full head style. The one that fits in this thread is the FL65 body but has a Soom Chrom head (which I'm also grateful is a full head style). My Sugarable Genie head is faceplate style and while the magnets are strong, it can still get dislodged without serious effort, which is the problem I find with a number of faceplate type heads.

    3. Me here, again, with yet another dumb question about face connectors and head backs!

I have Rick (Mysterious Demon) and I really want to get the Year End & New Year release of one of the blank Rozen faceplates to switch out on Rick's body once in a while, but...
I'm still confused about the change to the face connector/head back.

Will the Rozen faceplate work with Rick?

I can't find the date of the release of either the new face connector or Rozen.

Or can I purchase the new release connector for new heads and put it on the older body?

      Help, please!

      :aeyepop:

    4. I believe Rick and Rosen will be compatible, because they’re both new f65 boys. I don’t have either head, so I can’t test that, unfortunately

    5. I have a Rozen faceplate and it fits the new face connector.

    6. Good to know! I still don't remember when the new connector was released but I'm thinking Rick was released before it was.
I guess I could pull his face off and look :mwahaha

    7. The new connector was released with Sylvia.

    8. Thanks!

Do you know if there's a database or a list of release dates for the special sets (full packages and all that) somewhere?
I've been looking at Fairyland's website and can't find anything.

    9. Not as far as I’m aware.

There is a YouTube channel which has videos of the full sets that can give an approximate date of when things were released. It only goes back till 2014 though. https://m.youtube.com/c/CPFairyland

There is also fairylands blog which has the information on major updates like new bodies also blank pictures of event heads. CP/Fairyland

    10. My new F65 Angela2 head is away being painted now, but I wanted to share a
major mod that I’ve completed on the body. I’ve loved the handling and posing
of the Feeple65 body for a long time, but just did not care for the huge bust.
I’d emailed Fairyland 15+ years back asking for a small bust option (which they
said at the time they were working on). So having had a wild hair, I ordered
another Angela2 to try a bust reduction. In the end it took two periods of
working on it to get it to where I wanted.

I hope that no one is offended by the headless body pix.

I will share more pix when her painted head returns, but in the meantime -

I made a thread in the workshop if anyone wishes to see more photos - I included
some “step 1” photos in that threads and the mods I did to her faceplate

    12. Wow that must have been quite a task! I really like it and agree...I'd love to see a smaller bust option! You did a fantastic job - I can't wait to see her when she is all complete again.

    13. Oh wow, that turned out really good! Very natural shape. Great job with the reduction!

    14. @Robyn_in_WA So super cool! Wow, you'll probably have an easier time fitting her into tops and dresses lol. Can't wait to see how the faceup comes out!!

    15. Thanks @Tippetarius !

Thanks so much @LyanneNZ !!! It really was quite the job. Once I thought I was
done, I looked at her more after reassembling, and then decided it wasn’t good enough
and took her apart again for more work. I’m very glad that I did. I can’t wait to see
the head when it returns too - she’s being painted now.

Thanks lots @Yuns !! The natural shape was absolutely what I was going after!

Thanks so much @Ctrowbridge77 !!! She can definitely wear shapely dresses now
and slip into the medieval gowns that I so enjoy making! Me too - can’t wait to have
her painted head back! I asked for a natural, elegant look for her painting.

    16. Hi all! I have a question, how can one hybrid a feeple65 girl if Fairyland no longer sells old head connectors? I was looking at the parts online and it seems that the new release connectors will only be compatible with Sylvia?

    17. Nuia showed up yesterday! I thought you guys might enjoy seeing her with a different wig and eyes. I love her! I'm super glad she has fantastic eyebrows (I have an Angela version 2 lol) and I think the stock faceup colors look pretty good on the lighter skin tone. The Angela outfit goes well with this set so I've been combining them. Nuia's shoes are really awesome. It's dark and rainy today so maybe I can take more pics tomorrow.

    18. Which head sculpt do you want to hybrid?
The new release connectors should be compatible with all the dolls released since Sylvia, I’m not sure about event heads but it should be like this:

      Original Connector
      Chloe
      Siean
      Lora
      OG Angela

      New Release Connector
      Sylvia
      Ine
      Ingrid
      Angela version 2
      Carol
      Nuia

She looks incredible. The eyes are a great choice. She has such a regal vibe.

    19. I am so PISSED right now. Bought a Rozen fullset and got the Rozen elf A event plate. Sent it off for a faceup back in October, and just received it back, and it won't fit on the doll! It won't snap into place on the headback, just pops back off. The regular Rozen plate fits just fine. Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? If so, is there a way to fix it? I spent a lot of money for the faceup and now I wouldn't even be able to sell the plate to recoup the cost, and I'm sure not gonna throw it away even though it's basically junk if I can't get it to stay on the headback. :vein:vein:vein

    20. @Stormlight I got two Rozen dolls, (one full set, one blank) and the smirking elf face plate, and both the vampire, and human smirking face plates along with 1 extra head back. And of the lot I found one face plate only fit the extra head back, one (the human smirk face) barely fit any of them but fit the extra head back better then the rest. And the blank default Rozen face plate didn't fit any of them even it's own head back was a poor fit. Which for me is fine as the Elf hot that head back and body any way. With my one face plate that just would not fit any of the head backs it looked like minor sanding could help it, but it's right now a spare/extra so not top of my least and I might try and get another head back for some of the floating plates later.

Long story short I have noted there does seem to be some minor differences between fit of the face plates and head backs, even between two otherwise identical face plates for how they will fit the same head backs. Before you fully give up on it, and/or mod it, maybe order an extra head back from either DDE or Fairyland and see if it fits that one. Heck you might even take pix or a video showing it doesn't fit and see if Fairlyland (or whoever you ordered from) will replace the head back.

I also have a Rick and an incoming Nuia elf girl, I should try the floating face plates on their head backs just to see how the fit of the "odd ones" are.
