It’s been a hot minute since over been in this thread, I love all the photos! I took a quick shot of Vaes’ra in an old wig I found and surprisingly I don’t dislike it in her.

 

Sorry for the double post, I made Vaes’ra a new sweater so now she and I have matching shirts.

 

why is the feeple 60 event shiwoo head so... small? Compared to the Mirwen head. She looks like a giraffe.

Holy cats @Draiol !! Thanks so much for posting this comparison - I had been thinking
about getting the Shiwoo Elf on the F60 body. That head is sure small, isn’t it?!! I’d
thought the new F60 Sircca head was small but not like this. I did shorten the neck
for my Sircca head and was much happier with the appearance.

Is the minifee head the new Valerie head? If so, it’s gorgeous. and shockingly close
to the size of the F60 Shiwoo Elf head. I think that head might look better if the neck
were shortened - but it’s still going to be pretty small.

The F60 Mirwen head is quite gorgeous, isn’t it? I’ve somehow managed to end up
with two of them…

 

@Robyn_in_WA Yeah it's crazy how tiny it is, I'm very disappointed. I've wanted an elf-eared f60 for YEARS. The Mirwen head is going to another person so I'm stuck with this tiny head. I might end up shortening the neck, but I'm honestly scared it would still look wrong. Now I'm thinking of maybe making a hybrid instead, but then we have resin match issues.

And yes that's Valerie, she's adorable!

 

I looked back at the photos I took of my F60 Sircca when she arrived and
@Draiol - my Sircca looked nearly as giraffe-like as your Shiwoo Elf.
Maybe the fact that my gal is tan made her look less worse? I could
take her angora wig off and measure her head for you to compare?
If you would like to see her original pix - pm me your email addy and I’ll
shoot you some photos. Shortening her neck made a ginormous
difference. I still don’t display Sircca with my Chloe and Mirwen gals
tho - she just looks wrong with them. But she looks great with my
Iplehouse and Feeple65 gals!! (finished pix are in post 842 I think)

Alternatively, you could consider the Dollstown Elf body as a hybrid -
it’s 52.5cm and a bit more on the slender side compared with the F60.
Lots of fun to sew for too!!

Small question - Im currently struggling with my doll a lot. I have a feeple60 Shushu and I think she is so cute. But the feeple60 body gives me some headaches. I cant really pinpoint what it exactly is, but the posing is very far from what its said to be imho. Perhaps there are some ways you have managed to improve it? Or are you just accepting it as it is? Because Im thinking of selling mine and getting something else - like the dollzone body instead.

I'm gonna be honest... I'm not a huge fan of how the F60 body looks. It's a bit floppy, too. If I wanted to fix the body, I would probably tighten the elastic and hot glue suede it, but I'm thinking of repainting a DFH body instead.
Or I might just live with the F60 body, because I do love the swappable hand options.

I can't hybrid the body, it's what I wanted the most and I even got every single hands available for it. It would have to be the head instead unfortunately. She's my only SD doll so at least she wouldn't be out of place?

I love the valerie head so I hope you will as well! I'm definitely getting her a body.

 

Photos sent and descriptions @Draiol - I hope they’re helpful and that you’re able to
figure out what you’d like to do. Shortening the neck certainly made my tons happier
with my Sircca (dragon) head!! I also love the magnetic hands/feet and enjoy the
different expressions that gives the F60.

Can’t wait to see the Valerie elf - she’s actually coming with her own body (ordered
at the same time).

Just getting my airbrush set up ready (gonna have VENTS and FANS and errything), and then the body is getting a full coat of paint.

 

I was trying on various wigs today and River (tan Ria - my first F60!)
decided to tryout a Monique Gold Pretty Girl in blond. River usually
wears a milk chocolate angora wig, but this may be a prime alternate
for her! The Monique Gold wigs are SO nice!!

 

Most of my wigs come from Monique Gold or Jpopdolls. I was so disappointed when both companies shut.
That color looks really good on her!

 

Thank you @Stormlight ! I *love* the MoniqueGold fibers too - and they had such
great color selections. Was stunned when they closed shop. So disappointing.
No one else makes wigs as well as they did; so many of the fibers now are so
stiff and made SO thick.. And Jpopdolls had such a great selection of the
MoniqueGold wigs always in stock too.

 

Apologies if this isn't the right place to ask, but would anyone happen to have an F60 Erda in tan that they'd be willing to share a photo or two of? I'm considering the sculpt for a character project but I can't seem to find any owner pictures of him in tan!
