Fairyland Realpuki discussion - part 20

OH, all these Papilio photos are so cute! My next Realpuki would be Ara, but Papilio is coming up so fast in the rankings, he/she is now a close second or even a tie with Ara!

It's just him. Instead of a sleeping faceplate, Papilio has a winking one. I love it!

@Jonlyn - Ah, it's a Pupu. I suspected it might be but I wasn't sure. Eye mods give them a totally different look, as well as giving you a doll that is completely unique. And of course, cute as the dickens. Love your Papilio twins.

@smudge - I think you also wanted to see Soso. Here he is, on the left, with Kaka:

 

@vermont chick , look how cute your two are! My Pupu is completely original, no eye mod. Amazing how different face ups can change the look of a sculpt isn’t it! I do have another Pupu that is modified. I believe she started as a sleeping face plate then someone opened the eyes. Who ever did it did a wonderful job but of course she too has her own unique look.

Some of you probably received the same message but I got a very nice email from FL this morning announcing the new sculpt & saying that they do plan to do the other sculpts at a later date but probably this fall. Guess we can start feeding our piggy banks! (My age is showing! Does anyone even remember piggy banks?)

I placed my order for Obi at Denver Doll. I chickened out on the gray and ordered natural. Faceup and shoes are the only extras. Got to save some money for when the older sculpts return. (I remember piggy banks. Funny though, I don't remember ever having one.)

@Jonlyn - That's a great faceup on Pupu! You're right--it changes her look completely. I'm thinking of giving my tinies eyebrows (for those who don't have them). The lack of eyebrows always freaks me out a little.

 

Ooh thanks for the headsup. How do you sign up to recieve emails from them? I remember piggy banks which makes me realise I am older than I thought I was! I loved mine and loved to shake it to hear the coins tinkle around inside. I was really upset when I dropped it and it broke.

Oh me too. Except I am currently living in my parents house rent free while I was unemployed and during lockdown so mortaging the house is totally not an option for me! Got things I have been wanting to sell though. Starting a new job this week so I can start a RealPuki savings fund!

@Booksandtea , I don’t think FL sends out an actual newsletter. I had contacted them recently. They answered promptly but no specifics were available then. The recent email was a very kind follow up to my earlier inquiry. Since I no longer have my piggy bank either I guess I’ll start putting money in my PayPal account. Congrats on the new job....just in time right?

 

Obi will be my first RealPuki (I just ordered him a couple of days ago), but it's great to know that Fairyland plans to re-release their older sculpts as well! I've always had a soft spot for Roro, but wasn't able to get one before they were discontinued.

 

I would so love to get a Real Puki again, but my joints in my hands are really being a pain in my side along with my knees and back hurting. Will have to live thru others pics for now.

 

Anyone know where to find an RP Titi??? I want that one more than anything as I've missed mine I sold several years ago

 

@Peggytoes - It sounds like FairyLand will re-release the older RP sculpts this fall, if you can wait that long. It sure beats haunting the Marketplace hoping to find one.

 

@Peggytoes I hope you find Titi. I’ve wanted one forever too & was lucky enough to get her just recently.
@vermont chick I wonder which sculpts they will be producing again. I seem to remember that some, including Toki & Titi were a limited edition so I wonder if those sculpts will be included or not. Maybe Denver Doll would know. I hope it won’t be too long before we get more detailed info...it would sure help me plan for the loan I will need LOL!

 

Ah ok thanks. I thought I had missed something but as I have never ordered from them I don't know how the company operates. Thanks very much. The job is really nice and yes such good timing I can save now without worrying about dipping into my savings completely.

I have a soft spot for Roro too so I look forward to the day I own one. Congrats on Obi.

 

CONGRATS!!! I saw your Titi on FB? LUCKY DUCKY!!! Haha ... I keep thinking I am done with them and then I can't stand it anymore. You'd think I'd LEARN!!!
