1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Fairyland Realpuki discussion - part 20

Apr 5, 2020

    1. Thank you @Peggytoes , nope I haven’t taken any pics of her yet. She’s darling & has a FL face up but is going out for an artist face up as soon as I get around to sending her. I’ve thought I should let some of mine go too but I know I would regret it & truly, I can’t imagine who I could part with anyway.

    2. I'm losing my mind ... sorry thought it was yours. Maybe you'd made a post ... who knows what I saw or read or DIDN'T!!! Congrats anyhow ... I had a Titi several years back and just want that little face back in my life again.

    3. No problem @Peggytoes ! I think it was @El BJD that recently posted a darling picture of her Titi & Kaka on the RP Facebook group. I love titis chubby cheeks. I’m anxious to get her face up so I can have fun with eyes & wigs to find her personality.

    4. Looking forward to meeting your new little one. Your kids are always so perfect.

    5. Jonlyn is correct, Peggytoes. You can see my photo of Titi & Kaka, who travelled together, on page 3 of this thread. I got lucky when I noticed an FB friend was selling some unspecified Realpuki, so I asked if she had a Titi. Voila!

    6. Hi all, I am new to this thread and I have just come full circle now too. My first bjd was Pupu over seven years ago now (sold him on to fund another purchase years ago) and I have just ordered a full set Silver Obi in natural skin through Fairyland. Sadly we don't have any European stockists so I bought direct.
My favourite insect is the Stag Beetle, we do have them in the area and they are endangered so I try and save them from harm if I see one.
What better than my very own little one and go back to having a Realpuki again❤

    7. Hi Saraht! Pupu was also my first but he recently went to a lovely home. Plus, over the years I've let a few go, especially when I somehow had acquired 12 of them! Of course I wanted them all back, especially when it looked like FL wasn't going to make them anymore.

    8. Yes, it would be lovely to be able to have back some of the dolls that I have sold over the years (especially Pupu!) but I know I would not have enjoyed the hobby as much as I have if I hadn't been able to own lots of different dolls. It's all a journey isn't it ;)

    9. You are so right Saraht, it is an interesting journey to say the least.

    10. That is so true, Saraht! I live in a rural setting and still don't have access to see very many other dolls in person, so I've bought and sold quite a few over the years.

    11. Oh yes, truer words were never spoken! I also sold a Pupu years ago when her character became so huge, she outgrew her tiny form (and I was desperate to raise funds for another, very limited sculpt.) I did finally manage to re-shell the Pupu’s old character into a Realfee size, but it took me 8 years and was a heartbreaking journey. Oh, the twists and turns of this hobby! Congratulations on your order!:)

    12. Isn't it just :3nodding: I don't think that I would change too much either as even the dolls that I bought and realised weren't for me, led me to my next, new and exciting purchase :love

Thank you! I tried to shell a favourite character of mine four times and have finally ended up commissioning him in a non bjd form, but I enjoyed him in each form along the way nether the less. Heartbreaking is a great word for some of our journey, especially when a re-shell doesn't go the distance, but falling in love with a new arrival makes it all the more worthwhile as we go through it all once again ;)

    13. I’m very happy Fairyland started making realpukis again. My Tealtilla wants company. She enjoys company of her centaur friend, but have been asking me every time when there will be someone like her.

    14. @LicorneDream I hope your Tealtilla won’t have to wait much longer for a new friend!

Sent my new...well, new to me, Titi off to get a beautiful face up today. Had a crazy idea & sent another face plate along. Can’t wait to see how this works out as I’m already having all kinds of ideas for photo stories. Hope they’ll both be home soon.

I’ve very rarely sold any of my dolls. I’m too afraid I will regret it even though I have some wonderful dolls who I rarely take out of their boxes. Makes me feel like I really should let them go to homes where they’ll get more attention. If Fairyland starts coming out with new Real Pukis on a regular basis again I may have to sell to raise funds!

      Thank you @Merlin's Mom !

    15. I think she have no other choice, but to wait.
I’m looking forward for seeing your new charming photos!
Let us know here first, if you decide to let some of your puki go. Maybe one of us will be glad to adopt little one.

    16. I hear you, @LicorneDream! My poor little Morticia has been longing for companions her own size for years! I got her right before Fairyland quit making them, and she’s so happy to finally have a new tiny friend in her size on order at last! I’m really hoping we see more Realpukis later this year as Fairyland is hinting. I’m currently in the process of finishing up the main part of my collection (larger dolls) but Morticia’s fairy house is like a “collection within the collection” and is the only place in my home that still has room for more! No idea how I’ll be able to budget all this, but I’m certainly determined to try!;)

    17. Cute & so clever @Peggytoes !

@LicorneDream , if I did ever decide to rehome any dolls I would be happy to have them go to my “thread friends” but I really can’t imagine ever breaking up my little family of RPs.
