1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Fairyland Realpuki discussion - part 20

Apr 5, 2020

    1. Woody looks so different with his new face up. I like it! Especially his mouth. His mouth looks lovely and realistic. Great job!

    2. What a gorgeous fullset! He looks absolutely glorious with all his items, and I especially love the coloring of his beetle helmet and shield. I wish I could have justified that gorgeous fullset for mine, but it just wouldn’t have worked with the character I had in mind for him. But I certainly appreciate seeing those pieces! Thank you so much for sharing.:)

What a wonderful job you did on his face-up! He looks so unique now with just oodles of character.:D

    3. Congrats @Answer42 - the complete set looks awesome! Squees are definitely in order.

Great new faceup @Saraht - not only does it look more masculine but the buck teeth are artfully minimized. (I'm guessing you didn't need to modify them with anything but paint.) I can't help much with eyes, as I get most of mine from my stash. There are some sellers on etsy who make eyes in small sizes. Someone who has ordered recently could give you more information.

    5. Congratulations! He looks so happy to be home! Great pose, beautiful photo. I see some purple color on his wings/helmet. Is it just reflection? What color are his wings and helmet?

    6. Thanks! THey look grey/green to me.

    7. Lovely faceup!

I get mine from dreaming tree 6mmm ad2 is the size I use for titi and popo.

    8. Woody is precious; I like the custom face. Denver Doll Emporium carries basic 6mm acrylic eyes.

    9. @Saraht LOVE the face-up!
My Obi's helmet is so tight, though, I might never get it on him without breaking something!

This is the first time I've seen this: Obi came with 2 certificates of authenticity: one from Fairyland and one from Denver Doll Emporium. DDE put a sticker with a serial number on Obi's case and it matches the number on the certificate. Good for them!

    10. @JinCIncy Congratulations on your Obi’s arrival!:) It’s wonderful to see a fullset in those colors...truly gorgeous and your photos are epic!

And my gray Obi, Casper has also arrived!:dance Morticia and I are absolutely over the moon with him. He’s so adorable, and my concern about his eye color turned out to be totally unfounded. He showed up with gorgeous bright lime green eyes...so perfect for his ghostly character! Now Moticia, my beloved Aki, finally has a friend her own size to share her haunted tree house with.

      BOO!

    11. Congrats @JinCIncy - Love your Obi - he looks full of mischief. I can't believe the colors on his helmet and wings. I don't know how they did it, but they look iridescent. It's as if you can see other layers beneath the outer shell. So cool!

Congrats on your Casper, @PoeticSoul - That's a great wig for a ghostly companion. And I just noticed, that's not hair, it's very thin feathers! Can't wait to see him and Morticia together.

    12. Congratulations! Your Casper looks ghostly awesome with his green eyes and wild hair! I'm so glad you've got Obi with eyes you like. Did you make his sweater? It's adorable!

    13. Great job on his faceup, Saraht!!

Everyone's Obi look wonderful! Love the gray skin too, but I usually order NS. Hopefully my guy will arrive early next week.

    14. Congrats everyone on all the new arrivals! I'm still not-so-patiently awaiting my WS Obi, but hopefully that won't last much longer!

    15. I'm beginning to regret not ordering Obi. Phtos are adorable and I love him in gray.

    16. OMGsh!!! My notifications stop showing and I have missed so much here!
Congrats owners and little obis for finding each other!!!
Interesting, grey skin tone looks like white on photos.

    17. Wow!! Look at all the Obis coming home!! Congratulations to all who got their little ones this weekend. :) The pictures are awesome.

    18. Thank you all for your lovely comments! I’m so happy with my little Obi, Casper. I think he makes the perfect ghostly companion for Morticia. And yes, that wig is made of feathers. After he arrived, I actually stumbled across it stored in Morticia’s old Fairyland box. I’d completely forgotten I had it (I think I bought it years ago on Etsy.) I’d already made Casper a different wig but when I came across this one, he laid claim to it immediately. It really suits his character.:)

And yes, I made his outfit...out of socks! I didn’t even know if socks could work for something this small, but I love “sock couture“ because it’s so fun and whimsical and had to try...and voila! It worked. He now has an entire spooky wardrobe made from children’s Halloween socks.;)

    19. They look perfect together, @PoeticSoul - Imagine the mischief they'll get into!

I never would have thought of using children's socks for the outfits. This could be a game changer for me, because crocheting in this scale--especially pants--is frustrating in the extreme. I'm going to practice on some old socks and see what happens. Thanks for the idea!

    20. What a great idea! I've made some clothes from socks for my larger bjds, but not Realpuki!
