    1. My realpuki soso shipped from dde yesterday!
i didn’t think he’d come in time for my big move, so i’m very excited!
i don’t have clothes for him yet, but does anyone have any handy links for like a simple outfit tutorial?
id like to take pictures of him during my 14 hour drive, i think he’d be a fun travel buddy
      pictures at different states/stops
but i don’t want him nakey for that
      haha

    2. Congrats on your Soso heading home! You could try checking right here on DOA in the patterns area.

    3. My favorite pattern is one you have to buy but it is an immediate download (pdf). It is by FaerieRags on Etsy and is their "Play Outfit"
It includes a pattern for a t-shirt, 2 hats, and "leggingings." The leggings would be appropriate for pants. You can make it with a thin knit - like an old thin t-shirt. It is all sew-by-hand, so no machine required. Honestly, for these little patterns, you kind of have to sew by hand. It is only $8 USA. and no shipping, since it is a download. I have also made shorts from the pattern by simply shortening the pants.

    4. oh thanks for the tip!
      i’ll have to get that

    5. I also made shoes from one of their patterns from felt and they came out really good!

    6. Pippa (Soso) has a new friend who she is calling Abraxos (he is a Dream Valley Bor). I think they are adorable together.

    9. My long awaited tan Soso with factory faceup has finally arrived, and I couldn’t be more thrilled! Her name is Lilith and she haunts your nightmares. Her faceup is simply ‘to die for, dahling’. I’m so impressed with Fairyland’s attention to detail on this one…I don’t know how they can pack so much artistry into something this small. It’s absolute magic, I tell you!;) Her eyes are a deep turquoise, which is a lovely match to her eye shadow. And I’m so happy I made her a little trove of spooky nightgowns while I waited for her to arrive, so she could be dressed and ready to go immediately. Like I’d hoped, her matching nightcaps preclude the need for a wig so it’s easier to show her face.

    10. Lilith is absolutely lovely. I wouldn't mind her haunting my dreams. :D

    11. Lilith sure haunts my dreams because I missed the chance to buy one…….
She is adorable! I love her.

    12. Lilith is gorgeous @PoeticSoul & her character is just charming! Love her night gown & cap....can’t wait to see more of her.

    13. Your Lilith is lovely @PoeticSoul ! Hats are a great reason to not have a wig!

Kali's new wig finally came! I ordered it through etsy and it came all the way from New Zealand. I was starting to wonder if it got lost in the mail when it finally arrived. She's standing in her in-progress doll house in this photo. This is actually the second version of this kit I've put together. It's looking so much better this time.

    14. @Leo Pheonix I love Kali and her in-progress home!
What house kit are you using? Would you recommend it for beginners?

    15. @Leo Pheonix Such an adorable aki! Your Kali looks very at home there already, and I hope we get a chance to see more of it.:)

    16. It's a Greenleaf Glencroft, and while I love all the details it has, it's a press cut tab and slot kit, so to quality isn't the best. The pieces don't always fit quite right, and it can be a bit frustrating. I'd recommend one of Real Good Toys smaller kits for a beginner. They cost more, but its way less work to make them look good.

    17. Kali is just darling @Leo Pheonix . I have an Aki face plate & Kali makes me want to let her borrow a body & get to know her.

    18. @Answer42 If you live in the US, Michaels (the craft store) just got a bunch of perfectly sized dioramas and small house kits as well as cute furniture - It is almost all realpuki size (not dollhouse sized). I out a few of the diorama kits together and they fit perfectly! These are great for beginners and they are VERY inexpensive! I have my realpukis sitting in the Adirondack chairs I bought there and will post a picture soon!
