Fairyland Realpuki discussion - part 20

Snow stayed like a month longer than usual this year, so I've been in a sort of knitting frenzy lately

 

@Ruthiepooh - Love your Frida. And John is a perfect baby brother, but oh so tiny! He makes a Realpuki look as big as a LittleFee. Really cute outfit you knitted for him.

@BuildingBridges - Thanks for the update on the possible return of Basic RPs later this year. If I'm shelling out money for Obi my wallet will definitely appreciate some time to recuperate before I buy another basic or two.

Oh my! So much excitement about the long awaited return of the beloved Realpuki line!!! I can’t believe it! All I’ve been wanting for years now has been a Realpuki with any kind of character face as a companion for my beloved little Aki, Morticia Hallows...in her big rambling haunted tree house...and oh my, Obi is absolutely perfect for this! I just ran my online fingers over to DenverDoll and put a basic Obi in gray skin with face-up on layaway immediately! And he already has a name...he will be my little ghostie, Casper. So happy!!!

The above quote is from CP/Fairyland. It's confusing because it appears that Realpuki Obi Basic IS available for "preorder" at Denver Doll Emporium (CP/Fairyland's U.S. distributor). I hope someone can clarify the situation.

Regardless, if you want to order the new Realpuki Obi, do it soon; Fairyland warns some versions might sell out before the official sales deadline of "end of June". Denver Doll Emporium (denverdoll dot com) places orders to CP/Fairyland just once a week on Saturdays.

 

My best educated guess is that the basics they’re talking about not happening till later on this year are the previous unlimited Realpuki sculpts (which many of us are certainly looking forward to!) All of the Obi sculpts (including the basic versions) are listed as “limited” on DDE, so those are the ones able to be ordered now.

@Jonlyn lots of chatter indeed! It looks like they’re very excited to be getting a new little friend. Can’t blame them a bit...Morticia and I are over the moon ourselves! What an adorable photo. Those original face-ups are truly amazing!

 

After a lot of umming and ahhing over which one to go for, I've ordered the grey full set (minus paint and spear). I'd love to get the tan one too but can't push it at the moment.

We moved house recently and a lot of our stuff is still in storage and I can't find my realpuki which I'm gutted about. We don't have room to unpack everything and I've already been through lots of boxes.

I'd love to see some photos of Papillio and Sodo please!

@smudge - Here's a winking Papilio for you. I've been using this faceplate almost exclusively because the regular faceplate is loose.

Thanks for the clarification. Just starting a new job this coming week after being unemployed since September so having an idea on when I need to have saved some money is always nice Think I need a Roro or a Toki.

Thank you for all of the kind compliments. The mystery middle girl is a Pupu. I sent her to Heliantas in France for her face up. Love seeing everyone’s darling pictures.....soooo much cuteness on this thread!
