Fairyland Unreleased Victoria Frances Project doll ~60cm

Aug 3, 2011

    1. I still reckon that if they've released her in MNF you could coax an F70 release out of them... then you could get your 60cm... in a round about way...

    2. How about F65? Have they even been coming out with any new F70's lately? When was the last one released?

    3. Yeah, that's exactly it.. cheeky fairyland is cheeky, but brilliant at the same time. Although my first impression was.. "hmm.. they look alike" but that shot you just showed really nailed the point home ;)

    4. Hmm this is interesting. The way I see how fairyland work, mirwen is probably really a VF mnf (like chloe mnf to fp65). More kiddish look but if put together, really close.

Im thinking the scale of 50+-60 cm doll is probably a more political then possibility. CP may have some contractual issue or maybe their management just find it hard to slot in another scale for now. Im quite surprise a new FP65 is launch before VF.

    5. F65 is a different aesthetic to the F70/Delfs - so you wouldn't get the same face for an F65 release of the Mirwen. F65s are a similar aesthetic to the Chiclines - while the MNF are the F70/Delf.

There hasn't been one in a long time, possibly because they don't sell as well (and they're currently "re-vamping" the line along with the others who are currently listed as sold out) but what sculpt to better reintroduce F70s than a Mirwen?

Oh yes, I think they need to be cheeky in some ways - "Hmm... we're being pestered to release this doll... how can we make people give us money... hmm - requested sculpt in MNF!!"

the "more kiddish" is how all Delf sculpts move down to MNF - although you're probably better off looking at similarities between Delf and MNF pairs like the Shiwoo, Lishe, El, DES, Miyu etc - the F65 Chloe is not really the same type of doll as the MNF even though they have the same face - that's much more like comparing a MNF Lishe with the Chicline version.

I don't think the VF will come out as an F65 - they'd have to change the face for that and you wouldn't be getting the same girl as in the photo. I also don't think they can manage to release her as a 58/60cm either.
I always think of it this way - if Fairyland were allowed to release CP's 60cm dolls, they would have done it already - or taken the Delfs off Luts. There's too much money in Delfs/60cm dolls for them not to have done it already.

    6. I get the impression they will do more 70s than 65s.. it seems to be what they're concentrating on. But I think the magicians trick of *ahem* MNF... is a great idea, and can't be a coincidence. If they just so happen to release something that they were inspired to design..... ;)

    7. 65s are much more like big Chic-lines and they're not as popular as MNF I wouldn't think. 70s are the original Delf test body with the same aesthetic in the head - and their heads have the same neck connection as Delfs. Luts won't tell you that you can hybrid them, but Fairyland will.

    8. Well they have been promising a 60 cm line for a while...but it doesn't seem to have happened yet. So maybe we can hope for one big event for a new line. I really won't want the doll in 70 cm, it's too tall for me. Then all these new releases and no news...(pulls hair out).

    9. The trick is with an F70 you can hybrid the head down onto a Delf body - or a Delf head up onto a F70 body. And its not like they're big hefty dolls like Soom Mega Gems or Iplehouse EIDs, they're nice slender dolls.

The promised 60cm line may either be the 65s, or a 60cm Chicline.

    10. wow is she gorgeous. I dont know about the blood tears. But she is a gorgeous doll. I love the wings.

    11. they better NOT turn her into a stinkin' F70 !!! and I'll be majorly peeved if she's a F65 but at least she'll go with my 65cm guy. truthfully, I can't see her as either, her body doesn't look at all like the 70 or 65 ... it's been said before but I agree - she looks like a larger MNF body with the exception of the shoulder peices. and FL hinted to someone on twitter that our 'guesses were true' so I'm gonna keep the faith and hope they release her in the 60cm range just with a totally new body to get around the problem with Luts.

    12. She's definitely on a Delf body - the legs are way too short to be a F70 and the shoulder caps are only present on Delfs and F70s. She's not a F65, the face is way too cartoonish (in a good way) to be an F65.

I don't think even a new body could get around the problem with Luts... Luts would probably see it as in their rights to tell CP and FL that only they (Luts that is) have the rights to sell her.

    13. then I'll buy her from Luts ;)

    14. TPR do you think the prototype at Comic Con was on a Delf body? I'm not really familiar with that body.

    15. Lol - see I don't think anyone... except maybe Fairyland, (lol) would have a problem with that!

I haven't seen her in person - but the fact that she's supposedly 60cm and knowing how long it takes them to create new bodies (10 or so years for the F65) I would say that if she's not on the current type 1 body, then she could be on something similar to the F70-girls which would have been the Delf female "Type-3". The shoulder caps are a Delf thing, and since the F70 was the Delf prototype doll, an F70 thing as well. (her legs are no where near long enough to be an F70).

I don't know if anyone will mind this - but I don't have a nude shot of my F70 and Delf girls next to each other...
The F70 Lishe girl is second from the left while the type 1 Delf girl with the torso joint is on the right end.

    16. Luts have yet to launch any new Delfs for sometime though. Though I doubt they will reject a new one into their line of dolls.

    17. No... Luts knows where its money comes from, lol. I think the reason that there have been no new Delfs for a long time is because of Fairyland and CP, rather than Luts.

    18. I sure hope FL and Luts can resolve their issues-she's such a great girl. If a new body is the answer, then they should just go for it.

    19. Ok....going to show my "newbie-ness".... I have read several comments throughout DoA, and have noticed similarities ...are Luts and FL somehow related? Sister companies? A split company?

    20. she may have been on a Delf body for the con but it SURE looks like they modified her torso a bit 'cause she seems to have had a far more modest bust ... or is that just wishful thinking on my part?
