It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. Fairyland Unreleased Victoria Frances Project doll ~60cm

Aug 3, 2011

    1. Luts Delf line is designed by Cerebus Project(CP). They split up sometime back and now CP does all the dolls design for Fairyland. Luts still retain the rights to make Delf dolls under CP supervision.

    2. Hmm, I never thought about the Luts thing with the 60cm delf bodies. Might this be where the plan to sell her through Yamato comes into play? Or that might have more to do with Victoria Frances arrangements, but just speculating.

I got these tweeted to me tonight from Fairyland:

And I still haven't heard back from my e-mail to Yamato last week.

    3. Well there is a super old non-large bust Delf girl... but I doubt they'd use her.

    4. Oh no, guys it wasn't delf body...she had different elbow and shoulder joints, plus the bust joint! And she was posing on the pics the way normal luts/delf body would not.

I got the reply, which obviously says nothing
      .

Anyway I think that they have the rights to sell their own line of 60cm, with the type of body like mnf. Old delf bodies are totally different with joints, so I think that Luts can't say to them you can't sell it. I dunno why they yet don't tell us anything, but maybe indeed it's the matter of VF copyrights to full set look.

    5. It simply looks like what the updated Delf would have been had they kept making it - a Type 3 female, if you like.

And I will mention this again: If Fairyland was able to sell ANY 60cm doll which has a similar aesthetic as the Delf (like the VF doll); new body or not; they would be doing it ALREADY. There's too much money in 60cm dolls for them NOT to be.

    6. Ok maybe..........but then they are already making a lot of money from smaller dolls and well, F70 weren't that success full, right? So maybe it's something else too? Anyway it doesn't matter if the doll would be released by FL or made for Luts, I just want her to be made and released and available for everyone

    7. Oh I completely agree! a sculpt that beautiful should be able to be enjoyed in a collection - but then this will be the sticking point I feel.

60cms are one of the most popular sizes that CP has ever made, and the fact that Luts holds onto the Delfs so tightly shows that they're a big money maker which I think is why this problem continues. But I would think that if there was a loophole FL would have found it by now.

    8. Oooooh! Ok! I kept seeing CP thrown in conversations about both companies. Now it make sense! Thanks so much!

    9. Anyway, for all I know is that, the girl will be available. Just don't know when, how, price and all other details.

      That's al I wanted to know - it's worth waiting ^^

    10. Maybe it's just me, but it seems silly for Luts to hang on to the 60 cm line when CP is now doing all the sculpts for FL. I realize they are a money-maker, but it seems silly to hang onto something you are no longer using. Won't it be a better idea to sell the rights for a profit and hire someone to start making new dolls?

    11. Pinkeed - maybe for us it would be better if Luts sold rights to delfs to FL. I think for them it's not, cause still people are buying some delfs (though they seem to be not so popular anymore, like they used too). Luts has already their own lines of dolls (honey delf, zuzu, senior), but they are less popular I think, maybe that's why they stick to the delf (60cm). But then in my opinion they should also do everything to improve delf line aswell. They dont make more new clothes for delf or things. They stopped improving when they made male body type 3. Maybe it's also the matter of FL/CP who keeps manufacturing delfs, maybe they don't want to invest many time for delfs since they have so popular lines like littlefees, mnf etc. Who knows.
For me it would be the best if FL would take over the delfs, improve them and sell them (and add stuff like high heel feet)

    12. I would rather prefer if Fairyland/CP made a new 60cm body based on the same mechanisms as Feeple65. Now that TPR have pointed out that it is a DELF body, I to can see it clearly as well (the shoulders are a giveaway). Lets hope that they invest these months of delay in making a new better body, I can accept to wait for that...

    13. FL/CP may have had to sign a non-competition clause for the 60cm size range for a period of time (hopefully not forever!) in order to establish their own company.

I was hoping the body was going to be a larger minifee body rather than a scaled down Feeple body.

    14. Wow, I still can't get over the speculation on a doll that is hardly more substantial than a ghost! (ps, I didn't get any reply to my email to Yamato, either ;))

    15. I don't know all the specific terms of the licensing agreement or whatever, but I can't imagine it was designed to last FOREVER. In my non-expert opinion, most patents, licenses, exclusivity contracts, etc. don't usually last forever. Does Luts continue to develop and evolve the Delf body with the help of CP or was the agreement that they would be the ones to continue to sell and market the existing body?

It the arrangement was for Luts to just sell the existing Delf bodies or the most recent ones developed at the time of that agreement, then it doesn't seem like it would make sense for it to be forever, because the artistic design and technology is going to continue to change and develop as it does with everything, and eventually I would think it would become almost obsolete as other companies continue to grow and change and offer new designs. If not Fairyland, it will eventually be someone else.

Maybe that's what is holding up the process, but like I keep seeing, one way or another it sounds like she will be made, it's just a question of the details, probably mostly dealing with all of the legal aspects of this. And like I posted yesterday, maybe that's why they are looking at this girl being sold through Yamato?

    16. Who knows...anyway do you have any link to yamato? this yamato..cause I googled and found out totally not doll/figure related thing

    17. Japanese site
      US site

    18. in2themystik2 Good point on the agreements only being for a set number of years, at the most they are usually only 5 or 10 (at least 1). So maybe FL is just waiting for the agreement to run out.

    19. Guys this news should be in Luts Delf discussion, but I am pretty sure it has something to do with FL and so on. Here's what I read today at Luts page

    20. Oh yeah ! It definitely means something's going on between CP and luts !
