1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Falling for Tiny Elfdoll Dodo all over again...

Oct 28, 2007

    1. True, but they should know they would sell half or a quarter that many, or they wouldn't be releasing it. Like I said, even if they had the initial dozen orders or so ready to go, it would get their product into customer hands right away, which sells dolls far better than company pictures. Nothing sells a doll faster than actually experiencing them. I've lost track of how many tinys I've "sold" at meetups and other gatherings<G>.

Anyway, that aside, hopefully Elfdoll will get the girls to you all soon....I think I waited about 6-8 weeks for my Kai? I'm curious to see what the new version looks like in person.

    2. I agree ..
a perfect example of Lati Cubie ..I didnt like the Promo pictures at all ..but when I saw owner picture ..OMG ...loved her ..and had to buy on the secondary market ..and by the edition was long since closed and that was the onyl way to get them :(

I cant wait to get a Dodo back ..I do like the longer floppy ears myself but cant wait to get my "Arwen " back again

not that Im at all impatient ..I just need a dolly fix !

    4. Love your collage Carrie.... I'm not aware of an estimated ship date or turnaround time on DoDo.
      I keep checking their site to see if the status has changed yet! {{sigh}}

    5. Carrie - Love the collage and dolly fix...I know what you mean I need one too, or more. LOL! OHhhh, I love the little bear in pink, I wanted to get a white or brown one. They are the cutest!

I hope those who got a lovely dodo post pics here soon! I need a dodo fix! hehe!

    6. I hope to see them too. I ordered one on layaway but it will be a long time coming...

Cute collage Carrie. I hear you about the dolly fix.
      :)

    7. LOL ..well at least were all in the same boat LOL

    8. Okay, so did anyone else notice that Dodo, as well as all the other wonderful tinies are back up for sale at Elfdoll? Now I wish I would have waited to put her on layaway...

    9. What? Are you kidding me? I did not have the money to get Dodo at that time. Now she is for sale again? I thought it was a very limited time only. I am going to have to take a look.

    10. gracie, I do not see Dodo there. I see all the other tinies, but not Dodo. Where did you see Dodo for sale now? I was not gonna be happy if she was for sale now, only because I did not count on getting her at that time. I would have had my Hana home by now, had she not have been for sale for such a limited time.

    11. If you click on the link that takes you to the tinys only page, she's there. Third row, second from L. $280.

    12. Thanks clochette. For whatever reason. I see her now, but not before.
That makes me very upset. I want to cancel my layaway, sort of. I wonder if I can. I put down the $84.00.
Don't know. Maybe when I get time, I will ask. I just don't really have the money.
I did commit with layaway, but I thought they made a sort of commitment saying she was only available for a limited time too.
I am happy if others can get her. It is just my personal feelings because I commited to her only because she was limited.
      Hmpf! Elfdoll.
Maybe that listing is some sort of mistake?

    13. wonder if they are ready to ship ?

    14. I also asked if she would be available later because it wasn't a good time for me to buy a doll. They said no, but I could have a very long layaway. It may be that their sales are down because of limited access to their website, as well as the continued crappy economy in the US. I'm a little annoyed, but I can make smaller payments if I'm in a bind. I still want her, however long it takes.

    15. I don't blame any of you for being annoyed, I would be as well. Unfortunately, this seems to be a trait I see all too often with these companies...something that is promised to be "limited" or "one time only" becomes a standard release, or is released multiple times.

Dollightful, won't you have to forfeit your deposit if you cancel your layaway? $84 seems a lot to lose.

    16. I'm sorry to rain on your parade but I'm very happy she's being sold again. I don't really like the tinies but I love Dodo and I'll have a chance to get her again...which I can't do right now.

    17. Thanks all. Reine, you are not raining on my parade, or most-likely anyone elses. I did state that I am happy anyone can get her.
It was just my personal experience that I explained that I was not happy with.

Oh, I would not forteit my $84. If they would not agree to transfer it back to my acct or my Hana layaway. I would not do it.
I will most likely just keep her hanging there as long as I need to pay her off. Which will be a long time most likely.

Can't wait to see photos of her.

    18. Reine, it isn't that were are upset that she is released again or that others might have a chance to own Dodo. It is the fact that some of us really didn't have the funds to purchase/put on layaway at the time, but we were told that if we wanted her then we had no choice but to do that. If we had known, which I really should have known by now, than some of us would have waited until it was more financial advantageous to do so.

I'm glad that you might be able to purchase Dodo if she is available again :)

    19. No shipping notice for me yet, ;(

I went back and re-read the description and it says thath shipping should
be 30-40 days from payment... well, my payment was made on APRIL 9th.

Soon it will be almost 60 days since payment!! Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!

    20. Oh, now, you know better than that! Don't they all always say 30-40 days? lol The only company that ever gave me reliable shipping information is Dollmore. I just kind of expect dolls to take two months or more.

EDIT: I'm glad anyone can get the dolls they want; the more, the merrier!
