AUGH. I wish I had known. I just really liked the girl body with the muscular tummy. Man, I don't even remember what head I got at this point because all I really wanted was the body. lol And of course it's too late now for a paypal refund since i ordered last year. She was supposed to be here at the end of january.

Random side note for everyone, Switch resin (2016) and Fantasia are pretty close to a perfect color match.

 

I just sort of noticed this, maybe it is just me, but do they have any sort of relation to April Story?

 

Great discovery.

 

Only from the sense that their sculptor used to freelance around in the BJD world and did some work for April Story among other companies. Other than that, no.

I got same msg for my order through Angeltoast, except "delivery can be done on May 26th"...

 

I received that as well for the 12th

Although part of me is a bitter person who never really believes things like that, I really do hope everything is alright

I didn't get anything. =___= Still no idea where my doll is.

 

I totally believe it. This is an artist who launched their own business in all hopes of creating a market for their beautiful dolls and then had setback after setback, loosing their support personnel and having to redo manufacturing contracts, etc. It would definitely create enough stress that could cause serious physical illness. To us is was an annoyance to have to wait for our dolls in uncertainty. For this artist it is likely to spell the end to their most treasured dreams for a career.

 

I've definitely been there, and I didn't have a language barrier to keep me from trying to update my customers. The worst was when my mother was hospitalized. My dad had taken all the days off of work that he could to care for her, and I was the only one with a flexible enough work schedule(since I was in college and sewing doll clothes for a living) to stay with her when she came home. She had a bad reaction to medication after a surgery and had to go back to the hospital. I was supposed to be able to sew while she convalesced at the house but... Vicodin + one small, angry, half korean mother is not a relaxing week. I didn't get very much done and I had so many people accuse me of lying about my mother being sick. It just made everything worse.

So I definitely believe them and feel awful for them! They said their dolls were recently recast as well and that really destroys you emotionally as an artist.

 

I also got this message from Angeltoast. I think it means she expects to get the dolls from them by then, which means Fantasia's probably shipping the orders she placed at the same time they're shipping the ones other people placed.

That being said, it has been a really long time, and both life events and waning interests (perhaps due to the life events) means that I probably won't be keeping these dolls. Mucho sadness.

 

Ugh, that is very heartbreaking.

While I think customer frustration is completely justified I absolutley feel for the Fantasia team.

What a unfortunate mess for all parties involved

 

It does sound as if everything that *could* go wrong *has* gone wrong for Fantasia, and I feel for the sculptor as well as everybody else on the team!

That said, Fantasia have created extra problems for themselves by giving buyers nonexistent tracking numbers. It would be just as easy to copy/paste a prewritten message -- "we apologize, but we have not been able to ship yet" -- as to type in a tracking number that doesn't correspond to any package actually being prepared for shipment. That kind of honest communication would create more goodwill among buyers than the pretense of having shipped. Or at least it would with me.

 

Wow, I feel really sorry for them, so many things are happening and so many negative things :C

I got my tracking number a while ago and even though the shipping date was wrong (got the notice in April, the mail said March) the head arrived without any problems and at the same time as my package from another korean company.

Keeping fingers crossed for you all to have your orders soon!

People who are having tracking number issues, are they EMS or DHL?

 

mine is an es-kr number.... i honestly don't know if that's EMS or DHL, but neither USPS, Korea post or DHL recognizes the number. I also noticed today that the email said that they shipped my package "today march 24" but the email was sent on April 13th. Then they said they'd ship an event head first week of may. So idk. :/
