Fantasia Doll Elder/Senior Sizes

Anyone out there ...I'm just curious what other heads would fits on the Venus Body [S type] ?
Also any spam of a Vivian head? Especially a profile?

I don't think I took any side profile views but if you really need one I may be able to take her out sometime this week.

 

@luluna My Vivian is heavily modded at this point (and it affects her profile view), but would you still be interested in a pic?

Do note she was from the original release, so there may be differences to the newer versions of Vivian.

 

@AntarelNefertili - Oh thank you so much! I appreciate the photos so much! It's interesting to see her with both faceup versions you did! She is so awesome! You choose well in her hybrid combination of body (and hands)! And her profile is very nice. (It reminds me a bit of an Iplehouse Raffine...though, I don't own one of those so I may be wrong.)

 

You're welcome, and I had her faceups done by someone else to my specs, haha! (I intend to learn how to do them myself tho, because I'm having so much difficulty booking slots with artists these days.) My Vivian's alternate head is actually an Iplehouse Scarlet (whom you might have seen in the IH subforum); their side views are rather comparable, especially with unmodded Vivian.

 

Oh how nice you were able to find a faceup artist to work so well with your specifications! She has ambitious faceups! I've dabbled in doing faceups...on my own dolls...and would like to get better at it. Some of the faceup artists I've been able to commission don't do them anymore and it's getting harder and harder to find artists to work with.

Oh yes, I know your Scarlet! She is a beauty. I have two Scarlet heads and enjoy seeing more as she seems to be a rare Iple sculpt. I will have to study her profile and see how similar she is to Vivian! Good to know!

I'm hoping to get a Vivian...and was studying her proportions and trying to figure out if I like her on her 'new' body or if I could use something else for her if I don't. The new body is smaller and I like the older muscle body better...but I still may take the plunge as the older ones are harder to find.

 

Long time no post! ~

I put out my first WTB and received my first Fantasia Doll (a Vivian) in 2019. Since then I've been actively looking, and yesterday I had the honors to welcome the final sculpt that my collection was missing, Sleepy Alice. I also have both the old bodies, muscle one and the "softer" one. I technically lack a Sleepy Barbara, but I don't have interest in dolls who have fully closed eyes, plus I am skeptical any sleepy Barbaras even exist apart from the one used in promo photos. Lucky seven sounds nice, so this is a good closure to my four year journey! I drooled over the sculpts already in 2016 when they came out, and I begged to order a Canary, but I was 17 back then and legally unable to have a PayPal account, hence my parents still had a say over how I spent my income even if they played no part in earning it. Now I'm fulfilling my dreams late rather than never.

On the downside, I have owned around 10 girls that weren't Fantasia Doll, and sold them all. Fantasias are still my only ladies, alongside with a wild card Dollshe Diana. So, now, I suppose as far as girls go, my collection has reached its end.

I want to take a group picture of them all together, but before that can happen, I still have to send out my OE Alice and Barbara to have proper faceups. I booked a slot with Angeltoast, so I hope to see them back this autumn.

Sleepy Alice to pay dolly tax: (her eyewells are a nightmare to get eyes to fit, btw, which shows! My Sleepy Vivian was nowhere near as picky!)

 

@vauhtikatti your Fantasia dolly collection is epic! Sleepy Alice is just lovely!

But "the softer body" do you mean that newer smaller one? I look forward to seeing all your girls in one shot.

 

@luluna thank you! By the softer body I mean the 2016-2017 body - they had two variations, the muscular one and the one with less beefy torso. In addition to myself I only know one person who owns the less beefy old body and I'm pretty sure I know every Fantasia Doll owner that ever existed on the internet (yes, times were that desperate lol), so it was presumably less popular than the muscle body. I tried to look for a photo (because mine is clothed rather heavily at the moment), and found this collage I made that shows the nude body on the right (head is Sleepy Vivian):



I don't have any of the 2020 Venus/Luna body releases or their heads anymore, because the bodies were a bit too slim and heads too large for my preference.

 

@vauhtikatti - Oh I forgot all about that particular body! You have such an enviable collection of them! Thanks for the clarification!

These dolls have become a type of Grail Dolls for me. I hope to someday...own the muscular body. But I really like this one also! I will add that to my mental list. I've lurked and commented here for years now...as they have kept my curiosity up. I keep going back in this thread to look at them.

I do think I prefer the older versions...but, I have a newer version incoming (second hand) but I'm hoping I can at least use the body for one of my other floating heads if I don't like the big head + small body combo. I don't know what body I'll use for the head in that case. I fear I won't like the size of it.

She may end up being a project dolly in some way...until I can find the older versions second hand... someday.

 

@luluna neck-wise the 2020 heads fit Iple bodies decently, and resin match should be good, too. That would have been my go-to if I had kept any of my 2020 heads. I have two Iple bodies (EID and nYID) for my old Fantasia heads, too, though both bodies needed a neck sanding job because the old head neckholes are smaller.

I wish you luck and patience with that search! I know there exists at least one duplicate of all the sculpts, so it's going to be a mathematically possible, but a very frustrating mission.

Yea thanks, it will be one of those long-term searches. Patience will be mandatory....Hopefully I'll notice when one comes up that strikes me.

 

Lovely Alice @vauhtikatti! I really love seeing her sleepy version.

I do have the nSID body which I think has a smaller neck top than the regular ones, but I have yet to test if my old-type Vivian can comfortably fit on it. She's definitely petite compared to several others in her group (bigger than a CharmDoll female, but smaller than the 3 varying Iple SID female heads in my arsenal). I'm seriously considering doing a shake-up of the female heads among the dolls so Vivian could be reassigned to another character. I've def gone a bit OC regarding scale these days, haha.

 

I had an old Vivian on the nSID for a group photo once, and looking at the picture now, she was a bit of a giraffe. It's not the neck girth that's the issue as much as the length; compared to old SID, new SID has an enormously long neck. Sadly I don't have the body anymore to show, because I did some heavy culling on my headless body collection this winter. Somehow I can own a body for 2 years and realize only after selling it that I took like... one hybrid picture of it for future research purposes. I could do a lot better.

 

So I pulled through with my plans to play musical heads with the females in the doll crew. My old-style, modded Fantasia Doll Vivian is now a different character, and gave her a new faceup to reflect the change.
