1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Favorite company?

May 26, 2014

    1. My favorite must be Doll Chateau their bodies and sculpts are so different and unique, i really like them, they are like from another whole world. Another must be SWITCH, adorable and unique sculpts as wells, then Maskcat doll, love everything about their dolls, DollShe, the realistic dolls and the effort they put to make them pays off <3 And last but not least im starting to really like Crobi Doll

    2. It's Raccoon Doll! :abow: It's the company that got me into BJDs in the first place! SD size was too large for me and I always dreamed of having smaller dolls with attitude. Yumi and Dami from Elfdoll was the closest creations to my dreams (and I was lucky to find a Yumi who'll come to life soon) until Raccoon came. I was smitten ever since with Raccoon girls :love

    3. I have yet to buy my first doll, and I hope to change that very soon, but finding an apartment and being a "responsible adult" are a little higher on my list of priorities at the moment. I've found a lot of the posts here to be really helpful, since I've had quite a bit of trouble finding new companies in search of my first BJD. From what I've seen so far, I feel really drawn to Supiadollz. Their sculpts are all so beautiful...and I have a bit of a weakness for elf ears. I also really like Soul Doll, Iplehouse, and Dollshe. Though I have a feeling that my first doll will likely be from Resinsoul, as they are significantly more affordable and a few of their sculpts have really caught my eye too!

    4. My favorite company is Impldoll. Their dolls just look so handsome and beautiful. I hope to get my next big doll from them, when the time comes.

    5. Right now I think my favorite is Switch. Then its Soom and DollChateu/Dollzone.

    6. If I'm looking for a cute anime-styled doll, I'd say Volks is a favorite. Several years into the hobby now, though, and I find myself liking "weird" sculpts, and for those Dollzone and Doll Chateau seem to be good at that. ;) I do enjoy dolly diversity, though, and think it'd be cool to have a collection in which each doll comes from a different company. :)

    7. I love way too many companies, but I'd have to say my tentative favorites are Immortality of Soul, Ringdoll, Dollshe, and Doll Chateau. IOS was my first (and so many handsome guys! Yee!), Ringdoll also has a lot of gorgeous sculpts, but they have a lot of dark/creepy things which I love, Dollshe is just flat-out amazing, and Doll Chateau is just so unique! Of course, if I could list every single company I love, I'd be here all day. I've found something to admire in literally every single store I've looked at. I love this hobby (but my wallet doesn't)!

    8. Luts, Fairyland and Soom are the ones I order most from. I'm a big fan of fantasy dolls especially centaurs. But, oh my gosh, there are so many gorgeous sculpts out there from so many different companies. Iplehouse, Loongsoul, Peakswood, Resinsoul and so many more. I have a long list of loves.

    9. I'm really liking IMPLdoll, but I haven't brought one home...yet. I love very detailed realistic dolls, such as those from Granado and Dollshe, (Iplehouse would be a really obvious choice) but for the first two, there's something I don't like so much. They have that one draw back that isn't perfect for me.

Granado is great--I love their bodies (especially how smooth and well-fitted their joint junctions seem to be, and their realistically-proportioned girl body--I love the thicker waist and smaller breasts), and I love their heads (the smaller eyes, the sharpness of the features), but their boy bodies are so muscled and veiny! (And honestly, I have a hard time distinguishing between the newer faces--all beautiful, but kinda similar!)

Dollshe's newer dolls are very realistic--I especially like the smaller heads! But I don't like the bodies so much--the joint seams do not have smooth transitions (the resin remains very thick at joints), and they lack poseability.

I don't necessarily think that IMPLdoll BJDs have all the characteristics that I like and mention above, but I guess I'm impressed by their improvement--and resin choices (both their default selection and color matching)--all year round! Their newer Supermodel line (and even some of their earlier Idol girls) have one aesthetic quality that I feel that Iplehouse, the company to which they are frequently compared, lacks: cheekbones and temples! I feel sometimes like Iplehouse dolls have baby faces on adult bodies--but this could be a more personal preference, since the facial features I am drawn to in the hobby seem to be only for the "male" coded heads--two of my girls have heads made for boy dolls!

    10. Ringdoll and Loongsoul are my two absolute favorites and after them, Iplehouse and maybe Fairyland.

    11. Though question, especially since I've only ever bought dolls from resinsoul and hujoo (and dollshe- though he hasn't even been shipped yet) :sweat
But if I had to choose based on personal preferences and dolls I really like/want, I'd have to say Dollshe, Doll-Chateau and Luts.

    12. Soom is my favourite!!! All the dolls from soom are amazing and beautiful. Love it !

    13. I like this thread! I found out so many bjd companies I didn't know about!

My favourite so far would have to be IOS :)

    14. I love LoongSoul. I'm not super experienced in the hobby just yet, but from what I've seen I love their girls. I also (of course) love Fairyland. I lean towards cutsie girls, mostly!
For boys, I love IOS. Amazing mature sculpts, even if their dolls are too big for me!

    15. Overall, Volks is my favorite company. Their sculpts are beautiful and well made. Their customer service and commitment to their fans is second to none. I appreciate all the little things they do to make their dolls feel extra special. They've gone that extra mile for me in the past when PayPal goofed in the process of purchasing one of their dolls and froze the payment. One phone call of explaining the situation, they not only said they would hold the doll for a week until PayPal got its act together but also said they would help me get back my money if PayPal continued to screw around. I was really touched by the effort they went to in order to help me get the doll (which became my wife's favorite).

In terms of customer service, I also really enjoy Luts. They've always been very respectful and willing to answer questions when asked. They even helped me in dealing with an issue with a CP doll I had back when they still worked with Cerberus Project. The engineering on their bodies is also very nice.

    16. Iplehouse is my favorite company, becaus the service, dolls and cloths have a high and very great quality and I love the sculpts from Iplehouse <3

    17. Mine or Luts and Iplehouse. I own mostly Luts but I haven't purchased any Iplehouse yet.

    18. I'm with you on the Raccoon Dolls, love them but don't own one yet (I'm working on that !) x

    19. I just looked up Raccoon doll..wow! Such pretty faces! They only have female dolls though?

    20. Volks and Soom. I believe they create the most beautiful faces.
May be Doll Chateau as well - this company has such a overwhelming imagination! :D
