Favorite Thing About Your BJD?

I love how real and alive my dolls seem. And I like the size. I love large dolls. And I love how versatile they are with the ability to change the eyes as well as wigs and clothes, and all.

 

I love realistic faceups! And cute little noses and big eyes. I've always taken an interest to larger and more realistic dolls, which I'll have my hands on soon

 

I love joints, love the realistic look of bodies and poses they make and even faces sometimes. It's amazing how some of the dolls look exactly like small people ) I think the vividness of the dolls brought me to the hobby.

The best parts of the bjd's I like the most, wigs and eyes.

 

I've got a weird thing for lips... I always seem to gravitate towards dolls with fuller, perky lips The eyes and nose are important as well, I really like those soft, romantic eyes; but the lips are what get me ha ha!

 

Eyes. It's always the eyes that do it. My favorite doll is a Littlfee with the most solemn, serious eyes (a Dark Elf Soo). She just melts my heart and makes me want to give her icecream.

 

Hands down (pardon the pun) Calli's hands are my favorite part of her. They're so slender and delicate, and just gorgeous.
...Though I do think she's pretty much just gorgeous over all, lol.

 

My favorite part of each doll I own is their face. I love mature sculpts that have pointed ears and dreaming eyes. Expression is also important to me; I like intense or gentle/serene expressions in my dolls.

 

Oh, their faces are my favorite, it's always what makes fall in love with them! I could just look at their face all day

 

He's a tiny mature--28cm with an adult body. It's why I picked him. Bonus is that he's an elf. ☺️
I got him to be travel sized.

Drawback--4mm eyes are a pain to get in!

 

My favorite thing of the doll I own is it's eyes and lips. The eyes are show eagerness and child-likeness without being too big. The lips have a nice smile without making it look to exaggerated or creepy.

 

I will always love their faces and how the same doll can look totally diferent with some styles, it's like magic for me.

 

I was mesmerized by my girls beautiful eyes... That's the very reason I bought her.

 

My first real purchase of David K, was how I saw him on the Dollshe website. He was gorgeous & just the type of guy I wanted! He is realistic & fashionable to my style. Basically to anyone he's pretty lol

Eyes are everything for me~ I always fall in love with that first on all my dollies!

 

"Bone" structure of the face (ie, cheekbones, nose, forehead, etc) and lip style are the biggest things for me.

The biggest thing I get hung up on with dolls is their mouths. All of my dolls have to have a suitable mouth/lip shape or I will not even consider looking at them. Eyes don't really matter to me, and I have even considered getting a "sleeping" doll. I would honestly even rather have a permanently stained doll than a doll with lips I didn't like.

I live in a very dim room though, and I never really see natural sunlight, so I wonder how much that plays into it as well. I don't see colors or translucence very well, but the shadows cast by the face are almost always noticeable to me. I took my doll out into the sun once and I was shocked at how colorful her eyes were and how clean and pure her resin looked. I almost actually posted some photos from that because it surprised me so much.

 

It's facial structure and hands for me. Mostly the face, because I just have this adoration for what I consider aesthetically pleasing faces. They inspire me in both art and writing
