1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

favorite way of storing clothes?

Sep 26, 2021

    1. I have two of the same wide sterilite bins-on-wheels that jessholy mentioned, but I removed the wheels and pushed them under my sewing table.

One is for fabric storage, and one is for doll clothes storage. But as an added measure to prevent colour transfer from one outfit to another, I keep each separate outfit in a large plastic ziplock. If the outfit came with one, like dollhearts outfits do, I keep them in those, otherwise I use offbrand ziplocks bought in bulk. For wigs/shoes they're sort of just randomly sitting in a display case beside my doll, since I don't have that many yet.
Ziplocks are not really great for storage efficiency though, I'm already pressed for space because of the bulk of the bags, since air gets trapped in them and makes them puffy, no matter how much I try to close them while they're flat.

Honestly I'd love to have some kind of doll-sized closet to hang their clothes in. I have a few that work for smaller dolls, like 1/6 scale, but I only intend to collect 1/4 or larger with BJD, so they're kind of just sitting around.

    2. My favorite way to store doll clothes actually came by accident haha I used to use one of those photo box holders from Michael's that had like little cases and I'd label each. Now my dolls live in my craft room and I have a cosplay closet with the Aurdal wardrobe from Ikea that has pull out drawers. They sell little section dividers which makes it super easy to divide my clothes in one drawer! It's super nice because a lot of clothes fit in one drawer along with wigs and accessories too
