1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

FDQ presents LE Volks New York Style SD16 Ami Ayase

Jan 1, 2011

    1. When I saw her, I knew from previous experience with FDQ special editions that she would go fast. So I just jumped immediately. If I change my mind later, I can sell her, but that is soooo unlikely. I'll be honest, though, she went even faster than I would have guessed!

    2. Congrats, Ryochan, JustKatie and everyone else to whom this _amazing_ doll is coming home!

Outfits _are_ now available for purchase. You can order only one, but you can add one to your order of Ami, if you were successful in ordering her. With the outfit, you get the stylish red pocketbook, but with the doll you don't. Outfit is $150.00, which includes shipping, and should ship from Kyoto in late March along with the dolls.

    3. I placed my order for the limited outfit. I can't wait to try it out on both of my SD16 girls. :D

    4. How many of the dolls(Ami Ayase) were ordered this time? When I found her,she was sold out!!What a pity!

    5. Volks tends not to release specific numbers on their releases, so I don't think there's a solid number out there. Given how fast she sold out, though, I'd say either the number was small or people just jumped all over her very quickly!

      ...probably both, really. :sweat

    6. Thanks for your reply! I look forward to see her pictures when somebody will get her~!

    7. I'm guessing there weren't any more than 15-25 released, but that's just a wild guess. She did go incredibly quickly, so I think it was a very low number.

    8. Anyone had any word about shipping other than 'March'? I'm really keeping my fingers crossed she shows up for my birthday. ^^

    9. I was wondering about that also! There has been no "peep" from anyone waiting for her!

    10. Yay, the thread comes back to life! I've been checking my e-mails like crazy also, hoping for news. Has anyone asked FDQ about it yet?

    11. I was thinking about contacting Pat at FDQ but I know that she is busy with teaching at FIT and the last email from FDQ said to wait for further info. I don't want to seem desperate, but.... LOL

    12. I would think the shipment would be delayed though because of the recent earthquake in Japan. Hopefully we'll hear some news soon.

    13. Got to agree, Midori - I'm sure VOLKS is concentrating harder on getting things back up and running in the neighborhood of their Sendai store and the others affected by the earthquake & tsunami than on the Amis we so eagerly await! Ami will arrive when she arrives.

    14. Hi, All!

Have just gotten word from Pat Henry and FDQ that Ami is on her way - she's landed on the West Coast, and will be inspected and repacked to ship to FDQ in NYC, where she will be _once_again_ checked and repacked to head out to individual customers.

Pat's not likely to be able to answer any individual mails or questions about the shipping . . .

      But . . .

She did say that there are a few of the separate outfits remaining, which include the cute red handbag!

      ~Bruce

    15. Yay! That means she'll start arriving within the next few weeks! Joy, joy. It does seem rather silly, though, for the dolls to be shipped from California to New York, then to me in Nevada. Oh well. Guess I can be patient a little longer.

    16. Yay for good news! I can't wait to get that outfit. =3

    17. Haha I was thinking the same thing here in ca...

    18. Thanks for posting this info Bruce. :) The financial timing just wasn't right for Teejay and I to get this Ami, but when I saw her outfit was still available some weeks ago, I went ahead and ordered it for my yet-to-be-released dream girl SD16 Ruby! ;) Congrats to everyone waiting for either this beautiful Ami, or her snazzy ensemble!

      Juli DC :)

    19. Check your emails folks, I just received my shipping notice for Ami.

It's 's going to be fun seeing her finally!

    20. I got my shipping notice too! Can't wait!
