1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    12. I'm going to have to leave neutral-bordering-negative feedback here. Let me just say, this is the very first time I've ever had to leave this kind of feedback, and I'm not really happy about it because I'm not trying to ruin her reputation as a seller or anything. On the other hand, I'm not particularly pleased, and I'm not about to give glowing praise for what I see as some fairly serious issues. Others deserve to know the truth in this matter, so I'm sorry about this, but it has to be told.

ChibiInuTsuzuki PMed me last Friday requesting a trade of dolls, which I agreed to. Told her I could ship on Saturday, and I preferred Priority with delivery confirmation and insurance. She agreed.

Saturday rolls around, I send out my package and PM her the tracking number. No word on her end. I PM her on Sunday morning and ask for the number. Am told she had not sent it yet because she hadn't found a box (they provide boxes at the Post Office, FYI), but she would send it that day.

Again, no more word. I PM Monday, requesting a number. Am told it's in her car; she'd give it to me first thing tomorrow, making me wonder why she couldn't have simply stepped outside and grabbed it for me rightthen.

Tuesday rolls around. No number. I PM again requesting it, and am told the receipt got thrown out, but she'd check to see if she can get the number from the post office. By this point, I'm starting to wonder if it's even been shipped. I politely warn her that if the doll doesn't arrive by Friday, I'll have to open a dispute in the bad feedback forum over the matter.

Wednesday arrives. No word. In the evening, I finally receive the tracking number, along with a series of PMs, and discover that the package had only been sent out that morning. The PMs contain excuses and explinations that, quite frankly, I'm not entirely convinced are completely true. At the very least, I think they've been embellished a bit, and there are a few discrepencies that make me just a bit suspicious.

There is no solid proof either way, but what she claims to have happened is that she gave the package to someone else to ship for her on Sunday, and this person didn't do it when he was supposed to. He "forgot", and then lied to her about sending it out and losing the recepit. There's more to it, but I don't feel like trying to untangle the whole story right now and exactly why I'm suspicious about its ... accuracy.

Anyway, all that aside, the main issues I have with this situation are these:

      1. We agreed to a certain day to ship the dolls. She did not hold up her end of the bargain. I had to constantly request/demand information that she should have been volunteering, and finally resorted to threatening a dispute before a number was given to me, only to discover that the doll hadn't been shipped at all until that day.

      2. I really didn't like how she kept pushing the blame onto her friend (and the post office), using him as a scapegoat to get out of accepting the consequences of her own (lack of) action. It doesn't matter that it might have been the other person's fault, or if he forgot. I was not in a trade with this other person. I was in a trade with her, which she requested. It was her responsibility to make sure the doll got to me when it was supposed to, and nobody else. If it had been a wig or something, I probably wouldn't have cared quite so much. But for something that valuable, she should have personally seen to it that it was sent out, and it was extremely irrisponsible of her not to have done so. No excuses, no exceptions.

Now. For the good news, the doll was sent to me very well-packed. I looked him over and found no unrevealed issues with his body or anything. He's quite pretty, and I'm very pleased with him. So that at least was fine. And, in the end, she DID send the doll to me. It just took longer to get here than it should have.

So, for future transactions, I'm going to say buying and selling with her is probably perfectly fine, as long as you don't mind having to continually demand information, and are willing to put up with potential delays in shipment (and lots of excuses).

As for trades, that is definitely a "do at your own risk" sort of deal, especially if it's for something expensive like a doll. Personally, I'd recommend demanding proof of shipment from her, like a delivery confirmation number, before sending your package out. Because if she flakes out for whatever reason, intentionally or not, you won't have a lot of protection to get your doll back. At the very least, you'll wind up with a big headache just trying to sort the mess out. :sweat
