1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Feedback for LolaWants...

Jan 13, 2010

    1. LolaWants... recently purchased a custom hoodie from me and was completely wonderful to work with! Communication was great, she paid quickly and she let me know when it arrived! Thanks!!

    2. I bought a Pukifee Luna + extras from Lola Wants. I paid in full immediately and initial communication was excellent with the seller being courteous and prompt to respond. The doll was shipped in a timely fashion and was well packaged. Unfortunately after receiving her I noticed there were two chips in her lip paint which were not disclosed by the seller in her sales post. Upon re-examining her sales post, I discovered that the biggest chip is visible in the first photo she presented (without seller disclosure it looks like a bright spot reflecting off her gloss), so I concluded that the damage had been done before the doll was shipped to me. I immediately wrote the seller to express concern and was told that she had never looked closely enough at the doll to notice them before and therefore was not responsible, taking care to preemptively inform me that I was not entitled to any kind of refund and that further I was "splitting hairs" by noting the damage to the doll's faceup. Communication from Lola Wants became extremely defensive and then ceased altogether.

I was invited by Lola Wants to look at her Flickr account to see the many photographs she had taken of the doll "(including the ones in the sales thread) and never once did I notice anything wrong with her faceup" and shortly after sending my last PM to the seller I did. I was greeted by a notice that Lola Wants was stepping away from DoA for a while and would not be checking PMs. I must regretfully conclude that this transaction is over and I should not expect any more communication from Lola Wants.

Overall, I would have to rate this transaction as neutral. Lola Wants was very polite and accommodating for most of the transaction but I am dismayed that I bought a doll with undisclosed damage and more so by the fact that my attempts to discuss this with her were met with defensiveness. I was excited to find a doll on the marketplace with the faceup that I really wanted and paid more than her initial value ($300 versus the $252 w/ faceup from Fairyland) because I thought she was exactly what I was looking for. Now I will either have to sink more money into the doll to have her faceup redone by a professional or potentially lower the value of the doll by fixing her myself (as I am not a faceup artist).

    3. Response: The above buyer and I have had some mis-communications. I went to bed after her last PM last night and have promptly responded as soon as I woke up today to attempt to remedy this situation. While I stand by the point that the doll is not damaged.

I will be stepping away from DoA, but not before concluding this sale-issue. I have never had an issue before and will not leave one open-ended.

Also, in my defense, the buyer had sent me a list of complaints with no suggestions or requests on how I could make it better. I was defensive as I was given a list of things wrong with no clue as to how to make it better. I have since attempted to get a straight answer as to what the individual wants from me so we can put this to rest.

Amet has been more than communicative, I just wish she would tell me how I can make this better before jumping to conclusions. I'm trying to help.

    5. I just purchased a "hook" hand for my pukipuki from LolaWants. It was a wonderful transaction and I will be more than willing to purchase from her again.
