1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Feedback Thread of Cerindiputy

May 10, 2010

    1. Positive Swap Feedback
I was also a participant in Cerindiputy's Hearts of Love Valentine's Day swap. She was my swap partner (she sent items to ME). Her package came on time, and fit very well with the Valentine's theme. The items weren't speciffically what I asked for but I loved them to pieces nevertheless. She did some very good thinking and had smart ideas as to what my doll could use given her personality, and I couldn't have been more happy with the outcome.
She also handled an issue that I had when sending items to MY partner, in which I refused to pay $30 to add tracking onto my package, since my postal service/office were being anal about the situation. She completely understood that I shouldn't have to overpay for such a thing, and was very understanding. My package was sent out regardless of being without shipping.
I had a smooth transaction with Cerindiputy and I enjoyed the swap!

    2. I was a participant in Cerindiputy's Hearts of Love Valentine Swap, and I am very disappointed in how Cerindiputy dealt with an issue I had on the package I received. In the swap, I specifically asked for Valentine centered items, or items that went along with my doll's passion for fishing and the outdoors. What I received was a package filled with things that were totally off the mark for my doll, and did not follow the swap theme at all; save for some large plastic chocolates that turned out to be lip gloss for humans. These ended up melting (the lip gloss) on the way down from Canada, and were useless to me in the end. I also received plastic dinosaurs, a deck of playing cards, a dream catcher, a long piece of fabric and an obviously re-gifted Christmas gift card for Walmart worth $5USD. Unfortunately I wasn't able to use any of the items sent, but I did get to donate the gift card to a local shelter that takes in unwanted gift cards. I do not shop at any chain stores, only local small businesses.

I contacted Cerindiputy the swap host about the situation, and days later she decided to not contact my partner about the issue at all, leaving me without any reasoning behind the (unfortunately) worthless package. To me, this is not the proper way any swap host should handle this kind of situation. All I asked Cerindiputy to do was talk to my partner about her choices of gifts, stating they weren't on point with my doll's interest or the swap theme at all, and to just try a little harder in any future swaps. I did not want a re-gift, nor did I even want my partner to receive flakey feedback.

Whether Cerindiputy was too afraid to confront my partner on this issue was not clear to me, but I felt like as the swap host she failed to own up to her responsibilities. So, I myself had to contact my partner to get to the bottom of the gifts. Basically, University caught up with my partner right in the middle of the swap, so instead of flaking, she sent what she could. We had a pleasant conversation, no fingers were pointed and we both walked away happy to have chatted in the end. I did caution my partner to bring school and time issues up with any future swap hosts so this didn't happen again, and she completely understood.

Now, I have been a swap host many times in the past, and I always try to get to the bottom of issues such as this when they arise in my swaps. Naturally, I expected Cerindiputy to do the same. When she didn't, I had no choice but to leave this neutral feedback in warning to future possible swappers that may deal with her. Otherwise the swap seemed to run pretty fair; I did notice some other people received gifts that were off-point, but generally the other swappers seemed happy.

I would have to caution future participants of joining a swap run by Cerindiputy, as I feel she doesn't have enough experience yet to be an adequate swap host, especially if she cannot even handle a minor problem such as mine. However, she had fairly decent communication during the swap and was on time with her deadlines. I just think she needs to join a few swaps run by veteran hosts, and get some pointers before hosting any more swaps of her own.

    10. Positive Feedback

Cerindiputy was in my Hand-Me-Down Swap and everything went well. She was very busy during the time, but posted her information and shipped on time. I had to PM her to find out if she got her items but she replied very quickly and let me know that she had.
