Female dolls, big boobs or small?

Jan 15, 2017

    1. I prefer small but I’m okay with anything as long as it’s not crazy big and it being hard to find clothes

    2. As someone extremely limited in everything I wear by a very large chest, (if you know you know, if not you'd never believe how obnoxious it can be to fit into almost no off the rack clothing!!) I love giving my dolls less of a burden. It's vicarious liberation.
Also little boobs look super graceful, medium boobs look fantastic in anything, flat chests look like ballerinas.

    3. I like the smaller boob sculpts because I find that a lot of the larger breasted sculpts just look too round and unnatural. It's kind of my pet peeve when I see large busted dolls where the boobs are just too round and gravity defying (the MiniFee "Full Bust" is a perfect example of this, I really don't like it). I like medium busts the best, because I think they look the nicest and most natural, but I think small busts are cute and look nice too. I personally would purchase either small or medium, but would never purchase a large, too round bust sculpt, haha.

    4. ^Right there with you. I'm deciding between a few dolls once I have enough saved up, but whichever one I get, they're going to have the smallest possible option.

Also, as a possessor of . . .large tracks of land, the large busts on most dolls are absolutely unbelievable to me. Breasts don't work like that, oh my god.

(As an aside Rosslyn, have you heard of eshakti? They'll custom-size clothes for only a small fee, and that's where I get most of my nice work clothes.)

    5. I like the look of both. I have mostly smaller ones because I think that is just more common in the particular sub-type of dolls I collect. I wish I could have more medium sizes represented in my collection! I have a couple who are quite busty and the rest are very petite in the chest. I'd ideally like to cover a variety for all features!

    6. I prefer smaller boots... because it's easier to find clothes for them.:whee:

    7. Ooh thanks! I keep meaning to get some nice dresses from them! These days I wear a lot of stretchy stuff, or tailor things to fit when they're nice dresses but clearly not intended to fit over Huge Tracts Of Land.
I do think a lot of sculptors (or their bosses requiring the look) don't understand how big bewbs work with gravity, even IN a bra or other supportwear. They still don't defy gravity like a lot of doll busts do.
Smaller or medium doll bustlines are just more easily fitted into a wider variety of doll clothes.

    8. All the big breasted dolls I've seen just look unnatural. They give me back pain just looking at them, so I clearly prefer small to medium-chested dolls. I'm not a huge fan of flat-chested ones either.

    9. I don't mind really when they're still somewhat realistic proportions but some of the more anime-style enormous busts just look silly

    10. I prefer medium size boobs! It can wear any clothes with pretty shape. Some times I want big size boobs for gorgeous dress, but most of time medium is good to match clothes.

    11. Currently I have a DDs and her bust size is probably an in between large and small. I'm thinking my next doll is going to be an Angel Philia and she will probably have a little bit of a bigger bust... not ungodly huge like some of their molds get; there is definitely a line where it crosses into too much and for me, those ones can be too much. I'm thinking she will still have a little bigger bust than what my DDs has though.

    12. Since I have more than one girl doll I'll say I like variety. I have everything here from completely flat to holy watermelons batman and I think there are things to appreciate with each of them. If I had only one doll I would probably compromise with a shapely but medium sized or maybe modestly large. (My Aria doll d cup body I consider perfect but larger.) Extremely large chests are not very fun to sew for but I do enjoy a well crafted outfit with some cleavage.
I also want to chime in on how people are saying the larger busts don't look very realistic. No, they don't, that's what I like about them! Dolls are an escapism for me.
I think it makes sense how people transfer their own experience into what they prefer. For myself, I felt somewhat insecure about not having enough chest when I was a young adult. I definitely couldn't do anything to muster up any cleavage :XD: so it was something I thought was "missing" from my feminine outfits and I think it is fun to be able to style dolls who don't have that problem.
