Female dolls, big boobs or small?

With most dolls, I think breast size is exaggerated. Many dolls with so-called "small busts" aren't all that small. They'd be considered medium or even large-ish in real life.

 

There need to be more athletic female bodies for dolls. Most SD bodies have awesome six packs. I've only seen one or two female bodies with muscle and they are insanely expensive.

Ive personally based my preference on the sculpts themselves so its tough to say... My first doll I ordered was with the Impldoll star Female Muscle body (With Aurora head) and I felt like the large bust kind of suited her best. However, my next doll I think I will get the small bust for a young lady. I think though different companies the shape of the breasts are quite different and the large sizes sometimes look kinda outlandish haha! So even if the small bust isnt exactly "small" sometimes, it tends to look more natural I find.

I think considering how clothes will fit on different bust sizes is important too, especially what style of clothing you want to dress your doll in.

I prefer small or medium depending on the doll/character. I wish there were more athletic female bodies available. I'd be interested in an SD female body that was athletic, lean, and not very curvy. Probably what many would consider almost tomboyish, but I think it'd be cute ^__^

 

I'm a guilty party of the bigger the better ^^;;. I try to get girls with smaller chests and then I just gravitate to the bigger ones lol.

 

It depends on how it's sculpted. Tbh most of the time I gravitate towards bigger busts only because some of them seem to be sculpted with more care, versus how on some bodies it just looks like someone slapped the ends of a Q-Tip and called it a day.

 

I don't have any girl dolls, but I'm on the hunt for one. I definitely prefer flatter to medium chested ladies. I like my dolls to look realistic and the large breasts on some of the dolls out there just look ridiculous

 

Small-Medium bust. SS would be fine too, but anything large + looks way too big, and seems hard to shop clothing for.

 

Small to medium for me. Most of the large ones I've personally seen look more like balloons than proper breasts so that drives me away from them

 

No large boobs, never. Something delicate, fragile only.

 

I prefer small to medium size breast. Otherwise, it's too hard to find clothes that fit.

 

Big but naturally large, like a DD if they were a real person. I can't stand the insanely comical anime giant boobs.

 

I enjoy using my dolls as a model for fantastical characters I've created so busty ones are more ideal in that sense as they can portray a more unrealistic but sexy look. Nonetheless there are times I wish I have a doll with smaller chest as my busty girl is unable to give off a natural or a "common" appearance.

I do have a girl that is completely flat-chested, like a male doll. She is sold as an asexual doll but I treated her like a girl. She does look abit odd, however, dressed in beautiful frilly dresses but with no bust. I have to add that she has a face of a young lady and not a child therefore making her look like a beautiful crossdresser. XD

 

hmm... I'm still looking for my first BJD but when I look at them I look at their head sculpt and then the body sculpt. A lot of times I will see myself thinking "If I bought this one, I'd make her have such and such a busy because this doesn't look really good to me". Personally, I tend to go with the bustier option- so as long as it fits the doll.

 

small to medium are easiest to dress and least likely to look...off when the doll is naked. i'm definitely not against larger busts when they look natural and realistic though!

 

I like all boobs, I have busty ,flat, and medium girls.

 

I don't actually own a doll as of yet, but I feel the same about not wanting them to be in pain! I definitely prefer smaller busts. Plus I'm a fan of androgynous styles so I can see that a smaller bust would certainly make this easier to achieve.

 

I typically like the larger-medium or the semi-flat. Albeit I hate when it's a completely flat chest as I think there should be a slight curvature or bump. My main problem with large breasts as they are always stuck together? Like the sculpt gives up on the notion of boobs and goes for an unnatural lift.
