Female dolls, big boobs or small?

It's character dependent for me. If a character happen to scream BUSTY! that's what I go with. Same for medium or smaller chests.
Although, if I had to go with a personal preference...medium to smaller I guess. Besides the fact that a lot of larger busts look unnatural and even...balloonish? I'd prefer something that at least doesn't look like it's at Barbie levels of ridiculous.

(But, all that aside, I much prefer the boys' physique over the girls...)

it's tough to find clothes that fit really huge assets. but some really look good in it.

 

I think both look beautiful in their own way. But what really bugs me are the absolutely ginormous boobs that somehow still manage to defy gravity in their perkiness. I think they would be fine if they didn't tend to stand out so much from the rest of the sculpt. I imagine that something a bit more natural would enhance the beauty of the doll, but that's just me.

 

That bugged me too. Perhaps the makers didn't want boobs to look sag all the time?

 

They probably didn't know what else to do since the beauty standards on boobs are so rigid. I do wish that somebody would embrace the beauty of mild, natural sagging, though. I'm stacked in the chest myself and I can attest to the fact that bigger, natural boobs never--not once at anybody's stage in their life--look the way that they do on those dolls.

 

I agree with others about the beauty standard issue, and think I'm interested in medium-to-small, just because they do tend to look more natural and less silicone-y.

 

I see where you're coming from, but in all fairness to the girls that are gifted at that age, some girls are, well, gifted at that age. I remember back in middle school... never mind If someone wants their character to be like that, I think it's good to have the option.

 

Perhaps they were going for a look that looks good while clothed. Looking at the Dollfie Dream shapely bust, you would never expect the breasts to look good nude, but it's fantastic with clothes. The counterpart regular large bust, however, looks gorgeous nude. I've seen resin dolls like this, too. Minifees,I believe.

 

I suppose it's important to keep in mind that dolls can't wear functioning bras. XP

 

I like all breast sizes as long as they are more natural looking, no baloobies for me, thank you!

 

It depends on what my plans are for the doll but mostly I purchase the larger bust since there isn't that big of a difference between the large and small bust from the brand I purchase. I have seen some bigger busted dolls where the bust is just ridiculously sized,that's kind of where I'd draw the line.

 

I suppose it would depend on whether I had a particular character in mind, but as a whole I tend to prefer smaller boobs and a more willowy physique. Most importantly through, I like dolls to look natural and proportionate (ironically, since I've just ordered a DC doll that has giant hips - it's so stylised that I like it); I really dislike the skinny, small hipped bodies with gigantic boobs.

 

For the girl I have in mind I for sure want small. Luckily doll chateau ' s new kid girl body is perfect ouo

 

I don't really like "balloon busts", but then again I'm also not big into pre-pubescent looking dolls either, so I like the medium sizes generally. Maybe the large if it's not an over the top style.

 

Small bust, though it's not an important factor. Just not too cartoony, and not awkwardly sculpted like two spheres crashed into the torso.

 

I guess I could have ordered my Souldoll MSD wish small breasts, but I figured that the large ones would look mostly the same in clothes while maintaining the option of cleavage (and give her a more "mature" silhouette to compensate for the large head). I mostly plan on dressing her modestly in old-fashioned outfits since it suits the character best, but maybe having her be a secret supermodel underneath could be fun haha.

For my planned SD doll though, I like the Granado Nuevo body with small breasts. The large ones do have a nice natural shape, especially compared to the majority of BJDs, but I appreciate that the small ones aren't artificially squished together. A doll that looks perfect nude is going to do great in any clothes, I feel!

 

What do you all think of these? They are made for Dollfie Dreams or Obitsu. These would be perfect for a character of mine who is obsessed with getting plastic surgery.

For me, it would depend on the character I'm working on but if it's a doll that I'm buying just for looks, I lean more towards the larger bust. At the moment I only have boys so getting a big busty lady would be nice.

 

Small! I don't want my poor doll to have back issues, lol. Also, idk. I don't really like how oversexualized people make dolls? Reminds me of the documentary Dreamworlds.
