1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Finding a wig for Dollshe Hound? Size?

Jul 1, 2005

    1. I have velcro on all my dolls heads, it really helps to stabilize a wig, but some people don't like it as it can also grab the hair on the wig if you don't remove them really carefully.

Others use large rubber bands to make the head a little wider which provides a snugger fit.

If you want a really tight fit, stick to size 8-9 wigs. They are a little harder to get on, but fit him really nicely.

Best fits I have found are Dollmore, Monique, Posh, Kstarr, cancan and Jpop

    2. as far as size goes, i've always had good look with cancan jseries 8-9. The elastic fits just right.

    3. Thank you guys =D! I think I'm gonna try CanCan wigs.

    4. I use Leekeworld and Volks wigs... Edit to add: Oops! Forgot to mention that I use rubber bands to "fit" the wigs...

    5. I use the wide rubber band method for my Bermann. His "default" is a gorgeous CustomHouse with non-elasticized cap.

jpopdolls sells very tight-fitting wigs with elastic caps.

    6. Tensiya wigs are nice too - the fur ones are molded inside with some kind of plastic, so they don't go anywhere (or catch on velcro, the way my other fur wigs do.)

    7. Actually I just bought a few wigs off of Kstarr in the marketplace here and they stay on my Hound, also they are unique and made very well, I was suprised cos out of all of my wigs this one stays on his head.

    8. The best fit I've found for Seimei is an 8" Monique Paris... It's snug enough on his head not to move around much, even though I don't use velcro.

    9. Ariel (Bermann) wears a fur wig from darkmothflame that is *perfect*. It fits like a dream, and she edges her wigs with an elastic band, so that sucker stays on, despite my cats' best attempts at removal! 'Course, she's leaving for Japan in a week, so I think she's closing commissions (if she hasn't already), but I can highly recommend her.

    10. Well, a DOT head, for which that wig was made is 21.5 cm (around 8.5 inches), while a hound's head (according to Luts) is 23.5cm (9.2 inch). I'm not sure if that wig will fit or not. If it does, it will be tight... but there is the chance it will not. I don't think that DOD wigs have elastic caps, so I doubt that it will fit. I cannot be sure though, as this is just speculation from numerical measurements... I have no way of actually trying this.

    11. Hmm Thanks. I'll have to keep that in mind. I wasn't sure how big Hound's head is. xD;

    12. Luts has the measurments wrong on their site. Hound's head is more like an 8.5, so that wig in the photo should fit him. Besides a lot of those wigs have a stretchy cap, so they have a bit of give and they hug the head, thus staying on better, than a larger wig.

    13. I have found that wigs by Kstarr fit a Hound really well and it's tight so it doesn't fall of, just my 2 cents :)

    14. I know there has been a post about wig sizes for Hound before, but it didn't really answer my question...I have two 8/9 size wigs from Luts, and they're both a bit large for my Hound. I was wondering if a 7/8(msd sized) wig would fit? Fellow Hound owners, what size wigs do you use on your boy?

      Thanks in advance!

    15. Tried a MSD wig on my boy. Don't work.
The new SD size Kstarr wigs fit very well.

    16. The luts wigs are actually sized 8.5-9.5 inches, I dont own a hound buy he may need closer to an 8in wig, maybe try another company who makes 8-9 in wigs and they may fit.

    17. Zach wears an 8-9 Leekeworld wig; It's too big for him really, but not stupidly so; his head isn't drowning in it and a spot of velcro holds it in place on his head. It looks really nice on him. :)

    18. Hm...ok, thanks!

    19. If it has a stretchy cap... maybe.

My Hound is currently wearing a Monique Paris wig that's a 7-8. It fits him pretty much perfectly, but it has an elastic-type wig-cap. The Pups (MNF Shiwoos) non-elastic fur wigs from Luts are a bit too small for him.
