First Doll: By order or When they appear home?

My "first doll" is the one I ordered first. I got a floating head home first, though. And would I have bonded with him earlier, he might have been considered "the first" However, I only bonded with him a few days before the full doll arrived, it was actually already shipped. So, he was close, but he is "only" second.

 

I would go with whichever I brought first. Even if it is on layaway and I buy another outright in the mean time. The first one I fall for and commit to financially is my first doll, regardless of when it arrives.

 

After much agonizing over this exact question I decided that the first one I ordered was my first one. Mostly because I actually ordered him for me and my second one I adopted when it turned out that my sister is very picky about her dolls.

 

I still think of my first doll as the AE Jiao Jr. head I ordered back in June (hasn't shipped yet). She'll take over my MNF Shushu's body, which I recieved in, I think, July. I'm always so terrible with dates.>.<

 

In my case, my first doll was the one that I bought and arrived first. I had ordered just one at the time, so I didn't have that problem. I numerically order them in the order they were bought, though.

Right now I have three dolls at home, but the third one in arriving is actually my fourth doll. The rest of my family count them in the order they arrived, so I'm guessing I'll soon be losing my habit and refer to them as everyone else

 

Who ever was open up/arrive home first, is my first doll. In my case, I was more excited to open Tender Too's bubble wrap first. XD

 

My first BJD can only be the one I ordered and received first, because I did not order any other until about three months and a half after my first BJD's arrival.

But in the supposed case of receiving first a second BJD I ordered, I would take it as I had two first BJD, each of them in her/his kind. The first BJD I ordered would be my first about ordering and the first BJD I received would be my first about arriving. Depending on what I talk about I would have to mention one or the other as my first.

 

The first BJD related thing I got was my floating head (who still is a floating head :V) and although sentimentally she's my first doll, technically she will be my second. Because after I got her, I got another full doll while she still didn't have a body. So I count whoever came to my house first all in one piece as my "first doll"

 

You know...I'd like to say that my Delf Yder was my first doll since he was the first I ordered, but I can't. The Volks Yo-SD Tanpopo I no longer have actually arrived a month before he did because she was an impulse buy from another owner--so she's technically my first doll. But since I sold her off I've been in denial thinking that my Delf has, and will always be, my first doll.

 

I consider mine to be the first one I actually held in my hands. Even though I ordered my DoD Shall first, during the two month wait for her I bought an Elfdoll Silf in stock from a U.S. store and got her in just a few days. I was amazed when I opened her (omg so cute and tiny), and it really was a special moment.

When Shall came, I was actually a bit let down by what she looked like in person compared to DoD's photos, and have never really loved her as much. I'm wondering how much of that "Silf was my first" feeling is related to not just that she physically arrived first, but to how well I bonded with her compared to Shall.

 

I try not to buy more than one doll at once, but for me it would be the first doll I'd ordered I think.

But saying that, the first doll I bought and received was an Iplehouse Tatiana and I never bonded with her, I got her for the wrong reasons. Then I completely fell for a Leekeworld Mihael, he will always be my absolute favourite doll no matter how many others I get. I sold my Tatiana a few months after buying her and so deep down, my Mihael is like my first doll to me.

 

I don't know -- it didn't come up for me since there was several months time between getting my first and second dolls, so that was clear cut. Generally I don't have overlap like that, though there have been a few more recent instances where things were less clear. However, after the milestones of the first two dolls and the first SD sized doll, I stopped thinking about order. What can really confuse things around here is that resin people often come in parts. So I'll have gotten someone's head, and then 6 months to a year later gotten their body.

 

See, my first and second doll purchases were more than 6 months in-between due to lack of funds, so my first was my first both when I bought him and when he arrived. =P

Personally, though, I would never buy more than one doll unless my first had already arrived. Because like any hobby, I want to make sure they're as good as everyone says they are.

 

First doll to arrive and first one I had was my DOD Si, kiyoshi. I got more dolls then decided to re-do the character of Kiyoshi in SD size using DOT Sha which looks just like Si on an Angelregion Fair boy body.So he's technicly the 3rd (4th?) now but I still consider him first because..well changing the resin dosent change the fact that he was here first, technicly. His bday is still march when he arrived as a Si. Funnily enough I bought my dream doll very last my Volks F-17 and I still dont love him as much as my "first"

 

My 'first doll' is the one I ordered first. I bought three dolls in the space of four weeks (two from the marketplace) but the doll I ordered from Dollmore still arrived first.

So either way, Lillith is still my 'first doll'.

Even if either of the others had arrived before she did, Lil would still be my first. She's the one I fell in love with enough to buy her, and the arrival I most eagerly anticipated.

 

My first doll was the one that arrived home first. It was the only one that I ordered at the time and he was the only one that came in the mail. Sadly I sold him off to a wonderful home on the marketplace.

I guess you could say that the "newest" doll in my collection is my Volks SWD Nana. As she was the first one that I opened of my current collection.

 

I consider my El, Mike, to be my first because he was bought and paid for first. Kyo, my Dreaming El mod, was bought second, but since he was already in the US, he arrived first. Aiden, my Cory, and his brother Kristian, the sleeping Cory head, were third and fourth though Kristian's body was bought right before Luts stopped making Cutie Delfs. Then my Damien, Ttori, was fourth, and King (Shiwoo) was fifth, but they were shipped together. Damien's body was bought before his head though. After that, I really don't remember the order.

 

The first doll will be the one I fell in love with first.

 

I had always thought that my two CH dolls would be first, because I bought them first. But when people ask me, I always say that my pukipuki Porridge was my first doll, because she arrived first. So for me it is in order of arrival date, because that is when they were first 'real' to me.

 

Meh I really have two first dolls.

My spiritdoll cycas Alistair was ordered first but my lutz zuzu delf Gretel came first.
