Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD.     1. I will probably do my own... but it's been a hot minute sine I've done a faceup and all of my supplies are at my mother's- states away. Then there's Savannah's 100% humidity to contend with. The more I think about it, the more I don't want to do it. Ha

    2. aernath - Congrats on your boy, he looks cool in those clothes. Is the K-Doll body so different from other bodies that size? It didn't look unusual in the pictures I've seen.

      snowgray + aernath - thank you, but that's not actually a face-up. I just put a little pastel dust on his face for contrast :sweat I do want a pale face-up for him, but I haven't decided on the colours yet. Maybe just different shades of white. (Can't believe how dark my other WS dolls look compared to Khan).

    3. Naw, the body looks just fine! I was just surprised by the mix of sizes in clothes that ended up on him.

      chai_fiend - Oh, I hear you there! I have several heads lined up that need faces, but... getting the right weather and energy together at the same time... along with inspiration... yeah. It's a good thing they wait silently! ;)

      evie the kid, that bit of dust is better than what I could do! ;) I can't imagine how pale the WS must be, because the NS is the palest guy in my house! I think he's not far off from my husband's WS Iplehouse guy.

      chai_fiend, I'm sure your faceup will be cool! I'll try to try some more clothes on my guy, too, though really the only big sizes I have are SSDF and EID/SID, but I think the EID/SID will be too big. Smaller shoes might fit? But I don't have any actual SD17 guys so I don't have stuff that size!

      Funny, I have been thinking of Russian names as well - maybe inspired by Snowgray's Dmitri?
      I like Vasily, but somehow it just doesn't seem to fit. Victor sounds good, and I also like the short form "Vic" - but I know someone called Victor, and I don't want my doll to share his name.
      At the moment, I favor Yurij - which admittedly doesn't start with either I, A or V - but Y might be close enough … ;) Short form could be Yu. I also like Verne - but that's another case of sounding strange in a German speaking environment.

    9. evie the kid, he's gorgeous! The body looks like a pretty good match. :D And Dmitri I'm sure would be in favor of Russian names! His 'family' is all Russian, though only the boys have really Russian first names. I like Ivan, like aernath suggested, because I have a good friend named Ivan and I totally used to have a doll named Ivan, too! Yurij is a good name too, though it's definitely sweeter than Ivan. Victor is in-between Ivan and Yurij for sweetness? ;) Anyway, whatever he ends up being called, I can't wait to see more of him! I'm hoping to take more shots of Dmitri this weekend!

      evie the kid, I loved the fact that you put some color on his face. Even though it's not a face-up, it's a very nice touch and looks very interesting in the pics! (: The fit on the Mirodoll body looks perfect~ Also, I usually look around baby name sites for inspiration on names LOL

      I am so glad I got this guy, after all, even though I wanted to put a stop o buying dolls for a while … (never works out, that idea)
      No final decision on the name yet - plus I am really hesitating to give him a face-up, love him just the way he is …

      My own boy has a face-up now, and he still looks white enough. ;) He will also stick with the name Yurij - it suits him well, you will soon see why. I think he deserves a proper photoshoot, hopefully tomorrow. (Wasn't feeling too good today, I got a terrible cold.)
