1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

~For Those Who Own a Single Doll~

Jul 27, 2009

    1. I believe you answered your own question XD
And a few people out there would be devastated if they had to let go of a doll. Some people have debts to pay, etc, so it would be reasonable for them to fight an urge. Another issue is that an urge could be temporary for some.
      Also, I want to point out that everyone does have different opinions; it's just a general question >.<;

    2. I only have my Megi-2 at the moment :3
The reason why I only have him is because I am still in high school, I dont have a job, and my family really dosent have alot of money >.< And when I do get money I always blow it all on my boy xD I am trying to save up for another MSD, but I prolly wont be able to but him until around after christmas next year >.<

    3. I have one doll at the moment.

Or one and a half dolls. << I suppose I should count my floating head.

For me, the only thing holding me back is money. If I had a full-time job and no student loans, I would probably be surrounded by an army of resin people all demanding new clothes and better shoes. Instead, on my poor work-study wages and with my loans looming overhead... Sephie goes naked half the time and barefoot all the time. One day I'll have the money to buy shoes for her. And a body for poor Unnamed BJD Head living in her box.

So yeah. Limited funds = Pazuzu only gets one dolly (for now)

    4. I only own one doll but not by choice. I hope to not be a one-doll owner for long.

    5. I'm one doll girl!
But if a massive amount of money falls from nowhere or I can somehow find a way to convince a doll company to give me one for free, I'd totally jump at the chance to get another.
I'm quite satisfied though. One doll is plenty in my life.

    6. To be honest, I wish I could be happy with just one doll...I like the idea of having the perfect doll with the perfect wardrobe, and having less space taken up by shelving and this and that...but there's so much variety out there that even when I cut down bunch, I end up bringing more home. I used to always say that "I fall in and out of doll-love 12 times a day" and I think it is still true. So...even if I got down to one, it wouldn't last long.

    7. I only have one doll at the moment, but I do plan to get a second one eventually.

    8. I've had one doll for 2 years, but I do plan on buying others soon... as soon as I've finished saving :) I wanted to make sure that when I buy another it's because I really wanted it and not just bought on a whim. Which is probably why I waited a while before deciding to save for another one, as I'm sure if I didn't I would be surrounded by lots of dollies right now XD

    9. I have one doll currently, and I love her to bits and pieces! I'd love to have a friend for her, and am currently planning one for her, but as it stands, unless someone decides they'd like to purchase my kidney or I win the lottery no one else is coming home. :) So right now I'm slowly saving and spoiling her!

    10. I only have one doll at the moment, but once I save enough money I am planning on getting another.
I am seriously lacking doll funds right now due to an upcoming trip, and having no job.
But once I get a job, my doll count will no doubt go up

    11. Well, for now I have only one bjd, my little Sen [Even though he's not little but he still my little for always]. I bought him in really nigh price so I don't want to buy others again and .... I have one doll for a year now and it's near Sen birthday I finally can't fight my feeling anymore .... I think I'll buy another TT____TT

    12. I have only one boy at the moment...and I'm not planning on getting another one for a long time.
Not really because of their price, it's more like I'm afraid I'd have no time to take care of more than one doll.
Even when I see a doll I really want, I'd tell myself not to get it just now because even when it comes it'd be sleeping in its box most of the time no matter how pretty it looks.
And I think that's the saddest thing for a doll.

    13. Why do you only have/want one doll? Have you had the urge to buy another doll? How did you fight this urge?
Also, I wanted to meet more doll owners with one doll

      1. Constantly glaring at my depleting bank account and making a big priority list of what should come first.
      2. Constantly reminding myself to make the doll pay for herself.
      3. [IMG]No time to really play with more than two dolls!Sometimes I feel I don't even have time to play with my current girl since I have a ton of hobbies.
and hi! ~~ Nice to meet you too!

    14. I currently have one doll (well unless you count my teeny tiny Puki but I don't because I don't really dress her up much), and I'm already looking to getting another one. That's all I want though, is just two - a boy and a girl. I feel like I can personally enjoy them more if I have a few to focus on rather than a large group (which would also be way more expensive to maintain LOL).

    15. I only have one. Because I want to spend all that money on her alone. lol! Although I do plan on getting a puki... But that would be like a hobby, whilst my MSD is my career. Haha...... pukis are just too cute. x.X

    16. I have only one (msd Narin) and I'm always surprised by how many dolls some people here have! *_* I'm really not tempted to buy another one, in part because the only ones I like are on the more expensive end, although I could see getting a second one. Maybe it's because my friend has a couple too, so I can just play with hers, or maybe the dollie bug didn't bite me as hard as some other people. Not that I don't love my Narin! I do!

It's nice to see that I'm not alone in only having one doll. :sweat

    17. I have more then one doll.
However recently I bought a doll.
      An Unoa. (Chibi lilin)
(an Unoa was the very first type of doll I ever wanted but did not get one,
I did not want to deal with Crescent shop. and it all seemed way to .... complicated.)

Now I have one. She's amazing. I love her.
All I want is her. <_< I want to SELL my other dolls.
I think to myself maybe years ago had I only taken the time and bought an unoa when I wanted to, MAYBE I'd still just have that one.

Sorry if this isn't the kind of answer you wanted~
But I felt that the topics were sort of related.
Resist urges? And I dismissed my biggest urge to own one doll.
(Now I am here XD; In this predicament. )

    18. Up until last week I only had one doll, my Puki, and a certain part of me liked it. I could just focus on her and not worry about what to buy, etc. I really want to have only one or two I can focus on, but I feel like I need to try different sizes of dolls before I settled down (I don't have a group or anyone in my area to see different sizes/companies of dolls).

    19. At this moment in time, I only have one doll (who's been with me since Christmas). I love him to pieces, and I'm content with him on his own. With one doll, it's a lot easier transporting them, and you don't have to decide on which dolls go out with you etc.
However, I have plans for many more (mainly SDs), but the reason I'm not buying them is a money problem really. My first doll has cost me quite a lot for an MSD, and my wallet is still recovering ¬_¬
So in the future I will definitely have more than one, but I can understand completely why people like to stick with just the one.

    20. I'm one of those people who said that only one doll was enough...look at me now, after 5 years, I ended up with 10 dolls XD and I hope to stay that way...no more dolls for me!! (hopefully^^;; )
