Oh! Congratulations! Excited to see everyone’s moons as well!

 

I got pics of my tan Lupi yesterday, too. It's sweet that they're doing the posing pictures, but not super necessary for me. XD I'm just waiting on my Polaris to get there before I get shipping quotes.

Anyone in here who ordered one shipped to the US able to tell me how much their shipping was? I know mine will be higher, cause two, but I'm just looking for a baseline.

 

The cheapest option - Royal Mail to the USA - was £27.50. It's 5-15 pounds more for courier shipping to the US, at least where I am (southeastern US, don't know if that makes a difference). Exchange rates being how they are, conversion to USD will vary.

I’m getting two shipped to US and was quoted 57GBP for the faster option and 50GBP for the slower
But these are also the premium options, they told me they offer airmail for cheaper but don’t recommend it

They've confirmed they are working on new sculpts for the line. They're getting all caught up on their offtopic Blooms and I think are working on some other things first is all.

I don't think I've been this prepared for a new doll's arrival in a long time. Clothes, wig, shoes all ready to go, eyes coming with. Can't hardly wait!!

 

Good to hear! I'll hopefully be able to get an Alula some time in the future. Or something in the same line that's new and also adorable!

Can't wait to see your new arrival all put together, good on you for preparing ahead! I try to do that when I'm shelling a specific character, but often fall short!

It's a miracle I had clothes that fit! They're shorter than my MYOU girl by something like six cm, but they have the largest bottom of any of my dolls except the vinyl 1/3 ladies! For reference, the 1/4 size jeans from Alice's Collections (G067 on their site I think?) fit pretty well if you roll the legs up a little. I've hung onto a pair for ages because they sorta fit my MYOU girl, even if they were a little wide in the hips.

I don't know when I'll be able to do their faceup, this is thunderstorm season in the south. Every day for the last week has been storms! Maybe I'll have to commission a faceup for once. Hrm.

 

Wooo Lupi! We have miserable heavy rain, storms and wind here in New Zealand too. I have hardly anything MSD sized and yes, from all I’ve seen the moons have unique sizing. I haven’t seen any updates from my clothing commission so at this stage I’m thinking my moons may be naked for a while.

 

Continued experimentation with moons:

1. the msd leggings from Denver Doll do not fit over moon hips. The Ringdoll yoga pants do.
2. Ken Barbie Basics tshirt? fits like a glove.
3. Most 10mm eyes and some smaller iris 12mm eyes = good fit. Although my eye putty really doesn't like the resin very much.
4. 5/6 wigs fit, although I wasn't *as* thrilled with how the Leekeworld wig did with the ears. I liked the way the Jinsun wig I ordered fit a little bit better.
5. the legs did arrive a little loosely strung. I'm not sure when or if I'll get around to fixing that (my vinyl dolls have spoiled me!) but putting on pants is kind of strange. While I like the locks they built into the ankles very very much, I'm not as big a fan of the knee joints.
6. They can share flats, at least, with my Souldoll and MYOU girl. I will eventually order them their own shoes, but for now, their lovely detailed feet make me smile.

Finally had low enough humidity to give them a faceup! I'm not 100% in love with it - I never am - but it'll do.

I'm nervous about mine actually. I ordered lupi in the darkest brown and it's gonna be a real challenge to paint. I'm thinking a gold and maybe bright blue motif. I have some lovely "wolf" eyes prepared but I still need a wig. I usually wait til a doll arrives to organise that as i'm very indecisive and like to have the doll sort of "tell me" what they want.

Pondering a bright blue maybe. Try to keep the colour pallete limited. Not sure though. Black would work as well but wouldn't be as striking against the dark skin. I'll have to play around with my existing wigs to see what colours work best.

The ears definitely make wigs a challenge. I feel like certain styles just won't work because of them.

Haven't got my shipping invoice yet, but it shouldn't be long now. Hilariously, I just got a shipping notice for a Soom Cheshire from their event that I ordered long after the Dandelions, so he might get here before them which was completely unexpected! Maybe they can be friends. They are supposed to be the Gryphon and Mock turtle, so I think Cheshire would be happy having conversations that go around in circles with them and listening to poems.

 

Just wanted to show off my Lyra Also, when I restrung her I accidentally put the knee peanut in the wrong direction but I find that this helps her stand better, compared to my Lupi (who has the knee peanut in the correct way) she's much easier to handle now. Arms are still annoying though aha, will probably need to add wire or something to them.

Yes, I love Willow so much. I'm ready for Xola so I can photograph them together. I love their posing and size. Its really sweet after all my big dolls
