1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

Friends2BMade clothes, Tons of pictures, great guide to fit! :)

Jan 6, 2006

    1. We are generally talking about the "Friends" clothing from Friends2BMade, a subdivision of BuildaBear with human rag dolls. Some BuildABear stores also carry some Friends clothing. Friends clothes tops and stretch dresses and some other pieces fit lots of minis. Slacks fit a smaller number of shorter minis and very large tinies (whose butts are also not too large). That is the bulk of this thread.

A couple of people were also talking about the bear clothes in Target or Michaels or something, which are smaller than BuildABear clothes but may be made by the same company. Some have also asked about Sweethearts clothes from Friends2BMade but those dolls are fat baby dolls.

    2. well once i get my dollie i can just take her to work with me and try some clothes on her(i'm sure my boss would love to see her XD). i'm sure some will fit. most have the tail hole on the pants most skirts don't have them, so that's a no on most pants lol XD but i have no problem fixing things that are too big, that's the easy part :O. or course i'm more interested in dresses and skirts and the t-shirts. but i do know most of our stuff has elastic in them. so it might fit. lol guess we'll have to see.

    3. I called and got some clarification on the gift certificates. If you spend $35 or more in the store, you can buy a $10 gc for $5. If you spend $75, you can get $20 for $10, and so on. They said that they have that promotion a lot in the summer and around the holidays, so for those of you who are lucky enough to have a F2BM store near you, it's a good deal to take advantage of. If I'd only spent $5 more, I could have gotten an extra certificate. T_T

    4. chopsart - did you take the tops in? Or is that the normal fit on large bust Unoa? They are usually looser on my Narae and her chest measurement is about 1/3 of an inch smaller than Unoa large bust.

    5. Carolyn,

On those 3 tops pictured above I did not take them in, although the white top is way too big on the Unoa hybrid. (SR body).

That being said, I have taken other tops in, depending on the fit. I have found that the shorts and skirts vary wildly. Those little white shorts are perfect, but others I are far too small to close over Unoa's butt. (red shorts, denim belted shorts).

    6. Ok, on the Hawaiian tee and striped shorts, they fit Volks Ken and KD Ttori. The dragon shirt fits them, the pants do not. The hat fits SD! I am still waiting for my KD girl, so the rest will have to wait.

    7. hmm. now that i'm in my office i can tell pretty much everything looks big. i'm still going to try some things on for the sake of trying them on. maybe i can hit the jackpot on some items -crosses fingers- here's to hoping!

though i'm so buying some clothes from F2BM. co-worker called me a traitor :O

@slrphebos: do the shoes fit the shoyo? they look almost to big

    8. As a rule, none of the accessories fit MSD sized dolls, except purses, etc.

The hats fit SD, I'm not sure about the glasses.

    9. The pets actually look like they might be usable by minis (judging from the photos of Gift doll sets on the site). Sometimes the furniture is usable and sometimes it is just too small. But one thing for sure - anything that isn't clothing can increase your shipping cost.

    10. I'm thinking I might do a group order towards the end of the month. Would anyone be interested in participating? Unfortunately, I get charged tax, but it's only 7%.

    11. A very good point, Carolyn. Hopefully before I go to MD this weekend, I'll be able to actually go to the store and pick up some of that bulky furniture!

    12. Usagi-- if you don't have a store nearby, what I could do is a group order, but in person.

Like, you could tell me what you would like, I could pop by the store, and ship it out. Does that sound anywhere near like a good idea?

    13. Oh yes...I love that idea..does the stores have more than the site? Like even discontinuted stuff not on the site?

    14. I have not been to a store myself but I get the impression it varies with the store. Some may only have some of the the things on the site and maybe a few that are no longer on the site. Some may have a wider selection.

      Carolyn

    15. This is true. I noticed that there were a couple of things on the site NOT in the store and vice versa. However, they may have just been out of stock, etc.

What seems like a good idea to me would be to take "orders" on outfits. If, for instance, you want $20 worth of items, send me $10 via Paypal. I'll pop down to the store to see if the things are available. If they aren't, I will refund the "down payment" ASAP. I'm not sure if that sounds okay?

    16. And some time the stores have good sales on items they want to get rid of. Paid only $2 for a lacy poncho.

    17. It seems to me like they're adding a bunch of stuff, I've seen a few outfits sneak onto the site, and some new ones up tonight with "Photo 2 come" labels... I'm dying for a plaid skirt!

    18. So does the group order thing sound like a good idea? I mean, you'd save some serious money on shipping. If I get people on this forum that sound interested, I'll post on the Group Order thing.

    19. It seems like a great idea to me... If I were you though I'd add say $2 to each order for your expenses... Gas is expensive to get to the store and it's your time... I'm sure no one would mind and then you wouldn't be out any money

    20. That does make sense. I don't need gas money (Metrocard!), but packing material expenses would make sense. Even a preference for what kind-- envelope or box?

      Hmmmm...
